Chaos Chapter 8

We arrived at Bianca’s place at nine fifteen.

As we walked up to her apartment door, I saw a light glowing behind the blind on her front window, next to the door.

She lived in a small apartment complex in Sparta, with just a dozen units.

It was on a quiet street, surrounded by businesses.

Most were boutiques, a small local market, an accounting office, those sorts of things.

I let Mishap take the lead and knock. She answered after the second knock.

Her eyes were wide as she scanned us. I saw her swallow.

“Mishap, Chaos, what’re you doing here?” she asked somewhat hoarsely.

“We came to talk. Let us in,” her cousin more or less demanded.

“It’s alright, Bianca, let us in,” I said warmly.

That’s when she stepped back to allow us inside.

As I reached her, I paused, looked down, smiled, and took the door from her.

I closed and locked it. Mishap had stopped and was watching us.

His expression wasn’t encouraging. I took her hand and walked her to the living room.

That move made him scowl, but I didn’t care.

I used the short trek to squeeze her hand and whisper, “It’ll be fine.”

I heard the trembling breath she released. Mishap sat on the couch, no doubt planning to separate us. Instead, I steered her to the chair, then stood beside it after pressing her down.

“Sit down,” her cousin tried to demand.

“No, I’m fine right where I am. You were the one who insisted we come here.

I’ll let you have your say before me. But first, Bianca, I spoke to Mishap about what we talked about last night.

He has concerns and wants to speak with you about them.

I agreed, but not without me here. No one wants you to feel pressured one way or the other. Speak honestly. That’s all we want.”

“Okay, I can do that. Go ahead, say or ask whatever it is you have to say,” she directed at her cousin.

“I’m not gonna beat around the bush. Chaos told me a tale that you and he want to see if you can establish a relationship.

He said it was not all about sex. I told him you would never agree to something like that.

Is it true? Are you two considering making something permanent between you?

You know, in my world, you can end up a girlfriend for a while, or an old lady for good. Which are you aiming for?”

“First of all, it’s not a tale. We did discuss it.

And we realized that we both had a strong attraction to each other.

But before you jump on that, let me make it clear that it involves more than sex.

You’re right. I’m not into casual affairs.

I know what kind of relationships exist in the MC world.

We’re aiming for girlfriend-boyfriend, with the hope it can become old lady and old man.

” Her voice held confidence. A bit of the tension in my gut eased.

“I have concerns, Bianca,” Mishap stated next.

“What concerns?” she asked.

“That you’re in no place mentally where you should get involved with anyone, especially seriously.

You’ve been divorced for less than a year.

Your ex gutted you. A rebound affair isn’t the answer.

I know Byron hurt you with the things he said and did.

I don’t want you to be hurt more. You need to step back and not get involved.

Maybe after a year, you can reevaluate where you are in your head and heart. ”

He was making my anger heat up. I knew he said it mainly out of love, but I wondered if that was all.

“Mishap, I know that you love me and don’t want me to be hurt. I’m grateful. But that doesn’t mean you can come into my home and talk as if I don’t know my own mind. Or act as if I can’t make my own decisions. I’m not on the rebound. I know what I’m doing.

“Yes, Bryon hurt me emotionally. He betrayed me. However, my marriage has been over officially since the moment the divorce was filed. That was thirteen months ago. And I’ve come to realize that our marriage was over before that day.

I’d been fighting a losing battle and didn’t want to admit defeat.

“Chaos and I discussed what we both want and our expectations. We agreed. He wanted to speak to you about it so there would be no hard feelings between you since you’re club brothers. But I’m an adult. It’s my decision. You can’t veto it,” she informed him.

“I can go to the club and tell them my concerns about your mental status and Chaos’s intentions.

He’s never been in a stable relationship since he’s been a biker.

He fucks different women all the time. I know you can’t be with a man who isn’t faithful.

The club can order him to stay away from you,” Mishap shot back.

I’d heard enough.

“Yes, you can take it to the club, but your word on her mental stability isn’t gospel.

They’ll want to talk to her and decide for themselves.

As for me, yes, I’ve been with a lot of women.

So have you. Are you saying that you’re incapable of being with one woman?

Just because I haven’t been in years doesn’t make me incapable.

For the right woman, I can,” I shot back.

His face grew dark red. His eyes narrowed on me.

“I can be faithful. And you’ve been living the biker lifestyle for way more years than I have.

Does she know that the clubhouse is crawling with women you’ve fucked?

That all it takes is a phone call to bring them there.

And all you have to do is crook your finger to have one or more on her knees? ” he asked crudely.

“Watch your goddamn mouth! There’s no need to be crude or cruel. Clearly, there are women who come to the clubhouse who I’ve had sex with. However, I won’t call them or crook my finger, as you call it. I know who I want. It’s Bianca and no one else.”

“And how long have you known this?” Mishap asked after a prolonged pause.

“I’ve wanted her since the moment I met her. I’ve thought of nothing else but her since. I knew last week that I wanted only Bianca.”

A satisfied smirk spread across his face. Mishap leaned forward before speaking again.

“If she’s the only woman you want and you’ve known it for sure for a week, then tell me this.

Why did you take AnnMarie, one of the club bunnies, to a crash room and were there for an hour the other night?

Those rooms are used for sex. And you only go in them with a woman for one purpose. ” Satisfaction oozed from him.

Even though I wasn’t touching Bianca, I felt her body stiffen. A wave of pain hit me, coming from her. Fury filled me. I should’ve known that experiment and staying in that room to save face would come back to bite me. I looked at her. She stared up at me with pain written all over her face.

“Bianca, it’s not what it sounds like. I can explain.” I knew my words sounded lame, but I could.

“There’s nothing to explain. You wanted my cousin and whoever else you can get. I told you. She’s not a booty call,” Mishap stated triumphantly.

I saw my future with Bianca going up in smoke. I couldn’t allow that to happen. I took out my cell phone and found the name I needed.

“Who’re you calling?” Mishap asked.

I didn’t bother to answer. I pressed two buttons. When the phone rang, we all heard it. It took three rings to get an answer. I heard laughter and music in the background.

“Hey, man, where are you? You should come over to the clubhouse,” Fury said, practically yelling into the phone.

“Fury, I need you to go somewhere you can hear me,” I informed him.

There was a beat, then he replied, “Got it. Give me a few seconds.”

On my end, no one spoke as we waited. I kept watching Bianca, but her head was bent. Mishap was still smirking.

“Alright, I’m alone. What’s up? Is something wrong? Where are you?” Fury asked, concerned.

“You’re on speaker. I’m with Mishap and Bianca. I need you to tell them why I took AnnMarie to a crash room last Saturday night. Tell them everything.”

Fury cleared his throat. “Okay. It’s simple.

Chaos and I got to talking. I noticed he was distracted.

When I asked why, he told me how he hadn’t been able to stop thinking about you, Bianca.

And how you attract him more than any woman ever has.

He said it wasn’t just all physical either.

I told him I suspected it. He was trying to decide whether to bring it up with you.

But he didn’t want to do it if the only thing behind it was sex.

That’s when he confessed that he hadn’t touched anyone since he met you.

Chaos said the thought of having sex with someone else made him feel sick. ”

Bianca’s head came up, and she looked at me again. I ignored Mishap. I didn’t give a shit what he was doing, only her. I nodded to show it was true. Fury kept going.

“I suggested an experiment—a way for him to tell if any woman would do, even if he felt sick. I told him to pick a woman and take her to a crash room and try to have sex with her. He reluctantly agreed to try it. It took him forever to select someone. It was AnnMarie. They disappeared for about an hour. When they came back, Chaos found me. I asked him what happened.”

Fury hesitated before asking me. “Do you want me to tell it the way you did?”

“Yes.”

“Alright. He said they went to the room. She got naked. He only took off his cut and shirt. He ordered her onto the bed and to spread her legs. She did it. Chaos went over, and he tried to get excited. He played with her tits. She got turned on, but he didn’t.

After several minutes of trying, he stopped.

Said he was totally soft. He told her he couldn’t do it and said they should leave.

She thought it was her, and he hated that she felt it was her fault, so he told her about you.

She suggested that, to avoid raising suspicion, they stay in the room and watch TV for a bit.

He did it because he didn’t want anyone to think she was defective.

The other bunnies and hangers aren’t very nice to her.

“After he said that, I told him that should prove he’s serious about feeling something more for you. If a naked woman can’t get you excited, but the mere thought of another woman—you—causes him to get hard as a rock, that’s solid proof.”

I saw Bianca’s face turn pink at how bluntly Fury spoke, but he said nothing that wasn’t true. Fury let it stand there.

“Fury, thanks, man. I’ll let you get back to the fun,” I told him.

“Sure thing. See you later. Oh, and Bianca, Chaos is really into you. I’ve never seen a woman get to him before.”

“Oh, uhm, thanks for telling me,” she replied.

“Welcome. Oh, and Mishap, he’s serious.” That was Fury’s final remark before he hung up. The silence was thick.

“Do you believe me now?” I asked Bianca.

Before she could answer, Mishap jumped in.

“Bianca, think. What guy, not in a dedicated relationship, and even some who are, would pass up sex when a woman is naked and offering herself? What if Chaos told Fury a lie about what happened? Chaos could’ve panicked afterward, knowing he had been seen leaving and returning with her.

And if we ask her, she’ll lie for him. Bunnies will protect their place at the club. ”

Absolute rage hit me. He was grasping at straws, intentionally unwilling to believe that I could be faithful.

He was calling me a liar. The urge to plant my fist in his face was overwhelming.

I took a single step toward him. He tensed.

However, I never threw a punch. The reason was her.

As much as he deserved it, I refused to hit him.

“Go ahead, do it. You know you wanna hit me,” he egged me on.

“Mishap, leave,” Bianca said out of nowhere. Her tone was firm.

Surprise registered on his face. “What?”

“You heard me. I said leave. You’re being an asshole and intentionally trying to push Chaos to hit you. He and I have things to discuss, and they don’t involve you.”

“Bianca, you can’t be serious. Don’t tell me you believe his bull that he cares for you. If he wants to have more than a casual hookup, he would’ve never conducted an experiment.”

“You don’t know that. Whether or not I believe him is between us. You need to go.”

She punctuated her demand by standing. I let her take the lead. She corralled him to the door, despite his protests and attempts to stay. When she opened it, Mishap scowled at me.

“I’m going to the club. I’m not letting her be hurt, whether you’re a brother or not.”

“Go ahead. And I’ll tell them how you’ve been acting and what you said.” I replied.

There was a small flicker on his face, as if he wasn’t happy about that part. He turned his attention to Bianca.

“If you go forward with whatever this is between you two, don’t cry to me when he hurts you. I would think you’ve had enough pain after what Byron did.”

“Don’t worry. I won’t cry to you about anything,” she said with a bite to her tone.

I swore Mishap flinched before he walked off. She shut and locked the door.
