Chapter 3
The night at Pure Bliss was just getting heated.
Boss man was seated watching the strippers on the pole analyzing who needs extra trips to the gym.
I had just received the news Sergio and Aleksandr had been eliminated.
Then there walked the man who Scorpion had been evading after the precinct visit a week ago.
We had been trying to get leads on who pulled the plug on boss man's handymen but it all led to dead ends.
Now the nosy detective was going to arrest boss man.
"He is here," I whispered. Just with the tension that got on his shoulders I could tell he wasn't happy about the detective's visit. His eyes nevertheless lit up as he watched the detective who was not in uniform look around the club until his eyes landed on boss man.
"Detective I don't take it you are here for official duties," Scorpion chimed. The detective cleared his throat and extended his hand towards Scorpion who kept his hand on the glass of whiskey he was taking. Detective Kayde awkwardly withdrew his hand seeing that Scorpion was not going to shake it.
" I don't shake hands with enemies who infiltrate my nest and try to arrest me," he said.
A smirk formed on my lips on which the detective noticed and scowled. An attentive one. He was going to be a big problem to get rid off.
"I'm only an enemy if you have something you are hiding but if you must know I'm here for entertainment. It's a Friday night and a guy just wants to have fun and your club happens to be rated one of the best within the city," said the detective.
My boss watched him eyes trying to decipher what the strange man was up to and why he was in the club in the first place.
"Stinger let's give our good friend here a warm welcome after all we must live to our reputation and offer pure bliss," Scorpion commanded.
I called to one of the men and asked them to get the VIP room ready. " Get me Valentina for the Detective and Vladimir for Scorpion," I ordered. By the mention of the name Valentina uneasiness was on the detectives movement. His eyes became alert his body in a defensive stance. Bingo.
Just as the boss predicted it would get a reaction out of him. Turned out the rumours on the detective being romantically involved with Valentina Martinez was true and that's why he chose a dancer by the name Valentina to see his reaction.
I motioned for the detective to follow me as I led way to our best VIP room. Green led lights lined on the walls carving the words insatiable passion. The room was only accessed for the boss man and whoever he wanted to bring there I was surprised he allowed the shallow detective in.
"Stinger, let the rest remain outside. You can join me with someone of your choosing to entertain our guest here. We wouldn't want him feeling like a cornered rabbit. I don't want to disrespect a federal agent or do anything against the law," he said sarcastically.
Valentina was one of the best strippers in the club with striking long red hair.
Her body was a desire for any man who set his eyes on her I was sure the detective wouldn't be able to resist. She walked in seductively like the temptress she was and acknowledged boss man as she got on the pole.
Vladimir has always been boss man's personal favorite out of all our escorts.
He arranged to personally have him perform as he had anticipated the detective would show up.
"Beloved," whispered Vlad as he walked in the room and into Scorpion's arms. He was gladly welcomed and let to sit on the boss' lap.
Who put his hands in the man's long black hair which would have rivaled Artemis handsomeness and the Greek goddess of love who I couldn't remember.
"You look gorgeous as always my sweet Vlad," he whispered loud enough for the detective to hear. Silently I observed how the detectives eyes watched with cointained rage the interaction between Vlad and Scorpion.
" Is this your idea of bliss?" He questioned with a cointained tone.
"Ye he who have no patience should relax. Happy are the patient for the kingdom of pure bliss is theirs," scorned Scorpion.
Music softly started playing in the background while Valentina danced on the pole and I watched in allure.
Her beauty was beyond this world. She was one exquisite woman with a flame so bright that it could burn.
All this while the detectives eyes were not solely on Valentina but stealing glances between Vlad who was doing a lap dance on the boss.
Vlad's hands were in the boss' hair as they roamed down his body with his mouth on his neck as he followed the slow beat of the music.
I could see the detective whose jeans started looking uncomfortable for him.
He began shuffling in them trying not to look affected.
By the look of things it seemed like it was the first time he was experiencing that kind of scenario.
His cheeks looked rosy with the blushing he was having under the dim green lights. I gave a silent signal to Valentina who got off the pole and approached him. She danced around him trying to put her hands on him when he stood abruptly.
The music came to a stop with the detective looking very uncomfortable and bothered.
"I don't feel so well I should be on my way.
I'll see you on Monday morning with an arrest warrant if by then you wouldn't have shown proof you have no involvement in the prime minister's daughter kidnapping," he said rushing out of the room.
The door opened for him while boss man remained seated watching the man. "Thank you Valentina and Vlad thank you so much for your exemplary performance. Now please excuse us I have some few things I need to discuss with my right handman."
Vlad and Val left the room silently leaving me in the presence of my boss whose eyes shone with amazement. After being with him since I was sixteen I could tell he was intrigued by the detectives actions.
"What have you found out about Sergio and Aleksandr?"
"I found proof that will not incriminate you with the prime minister's missing daughter," I answered.
"That's good. Keep it."
Surprised by what he said, judging from the confusion I displayed he clarified, " I want him to arrest me!"
I nodded my head in understanding knowing well he knew what he was doing I decided not to further question. God help the detective since he was under boss man's fascination. He was not going to escape it unscathed.
