MY TARGET SWAGGERED his lanky ass directly into my line of sight not paying attention to his surroundings.

You could always tell a nigga who’d allowed comfort to make him forget where he came from.

I took two steps and had my colt at the back of this nigga’s head.

He immediately started stuttering like a bitch with his hands in the air and shit.

“Hold on. Wait. Don’t shoot. What did I do?”

It was wild that the first thing he did was to proclaim his innocence. I wasn’t sure what else this nigga was a part of but it was clear it was something. I would have to speak to my connect about monitoring his ass.

“You don’t know me but I know the kind of fuck boy you are.

” The shiesty I wore distorted my voice and kept my face and hair covered.

For this nigga to be a pro-athlete he didn’t have a lick of self-awareness.

I hated that Charmy had spent so much time surrounded by weak niggas but I was happy I was the one to make that streak end.

“I got a grievance to settle with you, nigga.” I grabbed the back of his shirt and pushed him into a side hall so we could have this conversation without interruption.

“Tell Marko I’m gonna have his money. He gave me until next week!” Charmy’s ex was damn squealing and pleading and I almost went across his head to get him to keep his damn voice down.

“Marko ain’t send me. I’m a blast from the past. Avenging a girl that you wronged way back in college.”

“Who the fuck sent you?”

He tried to turn around but I kept my gun pressed to the back of his head so he couldn’t turn around. He wouldn’t have been able to see me, I simply didn’t feel like having to whoop his ass in this tight ass, barely lit hallway if he jumped stupid.

“Nobody. I do shit like this in my spare time. But rumor has it that you broke up with your college sweetheart after you got her pregnant. Spread a bunch of lies about her around campus.”

His body tensed and I yanked him around again so he could release some of that tension. I needed him to understand that he wasn’t about to run this.

He sucked his feet and his body finally relaxed. “I didn’t do that shit. Her fucked up ass so-called best friend told me that the baby she was pregnant with was his not mine. That’s why he was so serious about taking care of her. Once I found out she cheated it was fuck her forever.”

“That nigga is gay.”

His head moved back in disbelief and I had to wonder what that was about.

“Yeah well I’ve seen him pull plenty of women before so he might be bi.

Either way, he’s a man with a dick and he claimed the kid she got rid of.

Said she was trying to trap me and I wasn’t about to have someone fuck me over like that before my career even got started. ”

Bruh was talking like he was in the fucking Hall of Fame or some shit like that.

He was a bench warmer for a team that didn’t have the good sense to drop his ass yet.

I had a mind to put a fucking bullet in his kneecap to ruin his career of riding the bench but I wasn’t that much of a hater.

I was gone knock his ass out for my girl and the emotional shit he put her through.

“Whatever the issue is, you abandoned your girl when she needed you the most. Can’t respect a man who would have his girl get an abortion and then leave her the same weekend without a conversation.”

“Man, if that’s how you want to look at it.

And why you bothering me about this shit?

I thought Charisma was one of those earthy, happy, Denise Huxtable kinda hippie bitches.

Turns out she was out there doing whatever and whoever the whole time.

You can ask anybody that went to school with us.

She had a reputation at FAM for a reason.

Who you think told us how she got down? It was just my fault for falling for her game. ”

I knocked his ass in the head with my gun then ‘cause he’d been doin’ aight wit me until he said some slick shit about Charmy.

“Ah!”

His knees bent and I kicked him in the back of his shit so that he fully fell to the ground. I kept my gun trained on him pressed against the back of his head, digging into the spot that was leaking so he knew I wasn’t fucking with him.

“Listen here you fucking uncultured swine. I’m glad that Charmy returned to sender that fucking baby because her womb was only meant to hold greatness. You weren’t worthy of her risking her life to bear your offspring but you not about to talk shit about my girl.”

“Who the fuck are you?” He was crying and tried to touch the spot on his head I’d split open but I pressed my gun in the spot even harder so he stayed still.

“It doesn’t matter and even when you find out your bitch ass ain’t gone do shit about it.

‘Cause you have no idea how I made it to the private area of this facility in the blind spots of every camera to hold your ass up. I got a gun in this bitch with all this security and you don’t think I’m ‘bout that life?”

I didn’t have to see him to know he was thinking about where security was and why no one had been alerted to him being in trouble.

The layout of this place held enough blind spots for me to take care of business and then slip back into where I needed to go to ensure no one saw my face.

It paid to have friends in high places. Including team owners who could give you access and professional athletes who told you the best place to fuck somebody up.

“What do you want from me, bruh? You want money—?”

I was offended as hell at his insinuation.

“Money? From your broke ass? You gotta be out your mind. You’re leveraged to the fucking hilt and just a word to the wise, the FEDS already know about your betting and shit.

I’d advise you to cut that shit out now before you get a RICO charge.

You see how they treated them other basketball niggas and those were niggas with money and fame. You’re a nobody compared to them.”

The tension was back and he tried to turn around again like this wasn’t a hostage situation.

“Hold up, what do you mean—”

I shook him again because he needed to be reminded that my ass wasn’t shit to play with. Clearly I hit him too hard or not hard enough with my damn gun. “Stop fucking talking. Right now, you’re about to take some of your dwindling fortune and donate it to a women’s charity in my girl’s name.”

“The fuck would I do that for?” I was gone have to talk to Charmy about the niggas she’d dealt with because this hardheaded muthafucka was still acting like he had options.

No self-preservation at all.

“Because I’m going to blow a fucking hole the size of a silver dollar in the back of your fucking head if you don’t.

Did you think this was a democracy, nigga?

Everybody gets a say? Nah, bitch. One voice, my choice.

Just for talking stupid you’re also going to reach out to her and offer to purchase one of her paintings and donate it to the children’s hospital in her hometown.

You not about to play with me or her.” I yanked that nigga back by his collar making him scream out like he thought I was about to shoot him.

He dropped all his shit and covered his head with his hands.

He was clearly too fucking stupid because I needed him alive to carry out the plans I’d laid out.

Nigga’s attention span is worse than Riot’s.

“Okay. I got it. I can reach out and send her the bread for the paintings. And the donations and shit. I got that.” He was nodding and I was positive he had snot coming down his nose.

“You’re also going to apologize to her about that fuck shit you did back in college.

You knew in your heart that Charisma wasn’t that kind of chick but you didn’t have the fucking balls to go against a nigga who clearly wanted your fucking spot.

And you got tricked out of it like a bitch.

Now, I’m going back to what I was doing and your ass is gonna make sure that you get them tasks on that list I gave you completed within the week. ”

“That sounds like a threat.”

“Bitch nigga, I got a Colt to the back of your head and you think I’m joking?

I’ll make you laugh before I send you to hell.

Nigga on his fucking knees hemmed the fuck up tryin’ to be tough.

Be tough on that fucking court, bitch. Play some defense and maybe you’ll actually get some shine.

Of course your ass ain’t seen the court so all this advice is pointless. ”

He was grunting and shit like I gave a fuck but he nodded. “I got you. I’ll do it.”

“Bitch, did you think you had a choice?” My laughter echoed in the hallway as I took a step back.

“You got a week like I said. The sooner the better. I’d honestly hate to find your ass again but it’s clear I can no matter where you try to run.

And don’t go to your mama’s house on East Bay Drive.

It’s obvious as fuck and the last thing you should want is to bring trouble to her doorstep. ”

“Don’t hurt my mama, man.” He sounded like he was about to cry and I was disgusted by how he was behaving.

“I won’t. Just make sure that you do your part.”
