Chapter Fifteen

King

BEING WITH brYNN is one of the best moments of my life.

Sex with her is like nothing I’ve ever experienced in my life.

Before it was all about finding a release and nothing more for me.

Yeah, I took care of the woman I was with, but it didn’t mean anything to me.

Not even when I was in high school.

For the first time in my life, I want to spend countless hours worshiping her body and finding every single spot that turns her on and makes her beg for me.

I don’t care about my release as long as I get her off.

And Brynn has been more than accommodating with my need to explore her body.

In the last week since we started having sex, we’ve been together every day, sometimes more than once, and I’ve only just started to discover what she likes and doesn’t like.

Brynn makes sure to give as good as she gets.

She’s explored my body and wants to learn how to please me and make me feel better than anyone else ever has.

It’s not a hard thing to accomplish because every soft touch, kiss, and caress from her sends my body flying and the pleasure she gives me is consuming.

Today I’m back in my office while she works on her book as I dig deeper into Jerome.

This fucker knows how to cover his tracks and I have no idea where he learned to do that.

He’s not ex-military or anything like that.

Jerome is a man who grew up with poor parents on the wrong side of the tracks in his small town.

His parents are both addicts who have passed away from their addictions.

He has no other family and no job unless it’s under the table.

There is no trust fund or anything for him to live off of.

After moving to a small town when Blood and the others kicked him out of their town, he remained there for a few months.

Then, he simply vanished.

I have a feeling he was back in Brighton Hills where Brynn grew up.

After printing out all the information the programs I have running on a constant basis, I begin to go through each page to figure out where the fuck Jerome is now and what he’s up to.

It doesn’t take me long before I find an apartment rented right here in Pine View.

It’s a mile from Brynn’s house and that’s no coincidence if you ask me.

He’s sticking close to her and giving him access to her life even if he stays in the background and she doesn’t know he’s there following her around daily.

Now, he can’t get to her and I know it’s pissing him the fuck off.

The club has intercepted a few notes from him since Brynn’s been staying at the clubhouse.

I don’t know how he gets to the mailbox to deposit the letters without the cameras picking him up.

We’ve changed the angles and done everything we can think of to ensure he’s captured on camera at the clubhouse so we know when he’s dropping these notes off for my girl.

Yes, she knows about them being left here, but she doesn’t know what they contain.

I’ve kept those details to myself and the only other ones who know are the guys I call my brothers.

They know every detail of the situation and have done everything in their power to offer me all the help I need.

My dad and uncle Killer are the only other ones who know about the letters and all that shit.

Even my dad can’t figure out how this fucker is escaping our cameras and is looking into things the best he can from Benton Falls.

With the new information in hand, I leave my office and go in search of anyone left here at the clubhouse.

I know most of the guys are at work right now, but there’s always a few guys here on their day off.

In the common room I find Hope, Brynn, Valor, Vault, Annabell, and Ghost.

They’re all sitting close together and talking.

Brynn is the only one who’s silent as she listens to everyone around her.

She’s still having a hard time sleeping and when she does manage to fall asleep, nightmares wake her up soon after.

Once she’s awake, Brynn can’t go back to sleep.

It doesn’t matter if she’s only managed to get an hour or less of sleep either.

She’s tried everything to combat her demons and get the sleep she’s desperate for.

Unfortunately, I know she spends all night laying in bed with me and staring at the ceiling.

Yeah, I often fall back asleep once she’s pulled from her nightmare.

There have been nights when I act as if I’ve fallen asleep and instead lay awake with my girl.

I keep her wrapped in my arms and we simply lay in silence.

If she knew I was awake those nights, she’d feel even worse than she currently does.

Brynn doesn’t want me as exhausted as she is.

Making my way over to the table, I lean down and kiss Brynn as she tips her face up to me with a smile that doesn’t reach her tired eyes.

The conversation around us fades into nothing as we devour one another. Finally, I pull back and rest my forehead against hers. We look at one another without any words needing to be exchanged.

“What’s goin’ on, King? Did you find anythin’ new?”

Vault asks me after a few minutes as Hope and Annabell get up and leave the room as I sit down next to Brynn and lace our fingers together.

“I did. That stupid fuck is here in Pine View. Got an apartment somehow a mile from Brynn’s house. I still have to pull the blueprints for the place, but I did finally get an address. Still can’t find a phone number for him which means if he has a phone at all, it’s a burner. Still not seein’ him havin’ a job either. Not sure how he’s payin’ for the apartment, but he fucked up when he put the place in his name. Just needed to take a break so I can give you an update,”

I answer my President as Brynn’s hand tightens in mine.

“You’ve been in there for hours already today, King. It’s time for you to take a break. I was gettin’ ready to send your girl in to get you,”

Vault says, knowing how I get lost in my work when I’ve got any kind of lead or can’t find anything to help us.

That’s when it’s club business.

This is personal because it’s about my girl and her safety and ability to live her life free is more important than anything to me.

Brynn deserves to live her life any way she chooses and not be held in the clubhouse where she can’t even go outside on her own.

I’ve let up slightly and take her outside a few times a week so she can get fresh air.

Growing up in a club, she understands where I’m coming from and doesn’t push against anything I ask her to do in order to remain safe and away from Jerome.

“My eyes are botherin’ me right now. Would’ve taken a break regardless of if my girl came in to get me or not. Plus, I needed to see her,”

I tell the table around me as I pull Brynn into my side and wrap my arm around her shoulders.

“Do you want something to eat?”

Brynn asks me, her voice soft and gentle as she looks at me.

“No, Kitten. I had a big breakfast and I’m not ready to eat again. Did you eat?”

I ask her as she shakes her head in response.

Brynn has a hard time eating when she’s stressed out.

She’s too nauseous to put her food in her body and it’s something I’m trying to help her with.

Today is one of the days she needs to eat because she really didn’t have anything of substance yesterday.

Getting out of my chair, Vault lets me know he’s sending out a message to the guys letting them know church is in an hour.

That gives me enough time to get my girl food and pull up what I need so we have all the information to go after Jerome and get this sick fuck away from my girl.

We’re not gonna let him go like Blood did.

He’ll take his last breath at my hands and I can’t wait to make him suffer and pay for what he’s done to her so far.

After making a sandwich and grabbing some of Brynn’s favorite chips, I take the plate out to her and set it down in front of her.

Kian grabs a bottle of water from behind the bar and brings it over to set in front of her.

Brynn isn’t a big drinker and always chooses soda or water when we’ve been at the bar here in the common room hanging out with everyone else.

Personally, I don’t give a fuck if she drinks or not.

It’s her own decision to make and I’m not about to force her into doing something she doesn’t want to do.

“Come to my office if you need me, Kitten. Please try to eat half of what’s on your plate. You didn’t really eat yesterday and I’m worried,”

I tell her, my voice low enough so only she can hear me as Annabell and Hope make their way back in the common room.

“I’ll try,”

she says, tipping her head for a kiss before I make my way back to my office with Valor following behind me.

Together we get to work pulling the blueprints for Jerome’s apartment and then lay them out on a table I have behind where I sit at my desk.

We go over all the exits, ways to surround the building, and making sure there’s no one living in the apartment above the stupid fuck.

Jerome’s on the first floor of the house that holds two apartments.

Thankfully, the top floor is currently empty so we don’t have to worry about anyone hearing us if we find him there.

No, we won’t deal with the trash where he lives.

We’ll bring him to the clubhouse so we can take care of him any way we see fit.

“K ing has brought us all the information we need to get to Jerome and get his ass back to the clubhouse,”

Vault says after I go over everything I’ve discovered about the twatwaffle in question.

“We’re gonna head there in ten minutes.

You all know the plan and where you’re supposed to be.

Kian and Deegan will be the Prospects with us. I want you all to know that this needs to be handled with care. King, have you updated Blood on the situation?”

“No. I don’t want to make the call until we have him in our hands,”

I answer my President as he looks at me.

“Good idea. Alright. Everyone get ready so we can head out. It will take us fifteen minutes to get to the asshole’s apartment. We’re in and out with him bein’ brought back here. Keep your eyes peeled when we leave the compound in case he’s lurkin’ around here tryin’ to find a way inside,”

Vault says before slamming the gavel on the table in front of him to close church as we all stand from our seats and leave the room grabbing our phones and weapon on the way out.

Ghost and Devil pull Deegan and Kian aside to let 22 them know what’s going on.

Those two have stepped up and been there whenever we need them and don’t ask any questions.

They help the ol’ ladies and watch over the kids here on the compound.

I have my doubts about one or two of the guys Prospecting for us currently, but I hope I’m wrong about them. Only time will tell though.

I head for my room and grab my gun.

While it’s not my preferred weapon, I always have one on me when I leave the compound.

We never know what’s going to happen when we’re away from here so I make sure I’m always prepared for anything.

Brynn is sitting at my desk. She looks up when I enter the bedroom and stops working.

“Got the blueprints and we went over them in church. Gonna head to grab the fucker now. I don’t want you in the common room when we get back, Kitten. We won’t be bringin’ him in through the front door of the clubhouse, but I don’t want you any closer to him than you have to be,”

I tell her, knowing she doesn’t want to be anywhere near Jerome if she can help it.

“Okay. I’ll stay in here and try to get some work done. I can’t concentrate today,”

she says, offering me a weak smile. “I did manage to eat everything you brought me.”

“Good, Kitten. If you can’t concentrate on work, take a nap or watch a movie. Don’t try to force your writin’, Brynn. You know it’s only gonna lead to writer’s block,”

I tell her gently because I know she’s talked about this with me in the past.

“I know. I might do that,”

she says, standing from the chair and stretching her body right in front of me.

I pull her into my arms and hold her close while kissing her long and deep. She wraps her arms over my shoulders and digs her nails into the shorter strands of hair at the nape of my neck. Brynn knows that drives me wild when she does it and I’ll be playing after we get this stalker fuck off the streets and take care of him.

“Kitten, I gotta go. The guys are waitin’ for me,”

I manage to groan out when I finally break our kiss.

“I know.”

Grabbing my gun from the safe in my closet, I tuck it in the back of my jeans after making sure the safety is on and it’s loaded.

Leaving my girl in our room with one last kiss, I head down to the common room where everyone is waiting on me.

Vault looks at me and I shake my head at his silent question about how Brynn’s doing.

She’s trying to hold it together and appear strong, but inside she’s a fucking mess.

One I have no problem taking care of. I will always do what’s best for her and if that means putting her back together one piece at a time, that’s what I’ll do.

Stepping into Jerome’s apartment, the place is musty and empty.

Other than the furniture that appears as if it’s been here since the late seventies, there’s nothing even indicating someone living here.

We slowly walk through the apartment in small groups until I enter what is the only bedroom in the rundown place.

The first thing I see has my blood boiling and all the color draining from my face.

On the wall across from the door I’m currently standing in is the long wall of the room.

Every inch is filled with pictures of my girl.

They start when she’s young and I can see her as she grew up over the years.

This sick fuck has been following her for a very long time. I’m gonna say over half of her life this bastard has been stalking her and taking pictures of her on a daily basis.

“He’s not here,”

Vault says, walking up to me and stopping just behind my shoulder. “Are you fuckin’ kiddin’ me right now? This is worse than I ever thought it would be.”

“Yeah. I can’t bring myself to step foot in this room to see if there’s anythin’ else,”

I tell him honestly as we remain standing just outside the doorway.

“I’ll go,”

Deegan says, stepping up next to us with Ghost.

“I’ll go with him and we’ll clear the room. The rest of the apartment has been cleared. He’s not here. Can’t even tell when the last time he was here is,”

Ghost informs us as Deegan and him step in the room and methodically examine every single inch of the place.

“Fuck!”

Ghost says, opening the closet door. “Don’t come in here. This sick fuck has a weddin’ dress, tuxedo, and a ton of other shit for what appears to be a weddin’ to Brynn.”

“Don’t look at the bed either,”

Deegan speaks up and my eyes immediately go there.

I find panties belonging to my girl in the middle of the bed.

We don’t need to be any closer to see that he’s used them to get off with.

Deegan quickly pulls the blanket over the pile as rage continues to build up inside me.

This is worse than anything I could have thought of myself.

We clearly have no clue how truly depraved Jerome is and the lengths he’ll go to make Brynn his woman.

He’s clearly built-up an entire relationship with her in his head and she wants nothing to do with it. She has no desire to be anything to Jerome and wants nothing to do with him.

“I need to get out of here,”

I say, feeling sick to my stomach as my eyes linger on what I’ve seen in here so far. “Brynn is gonna lose her mind over this shit when I tell her.”

“She will. We’ll all be there for her and help her deal with this. Right now, you need to call Blood and fill him in on what we’ve found here,”

Vault says, turning me from the room as I leave the apartment behind and make my way to my bike.

Pulling out my phone, I call Blood.

“King, did you find out anythin’?”

Blood questions me, answering the phone.

“Yeah. It’s not good, Blood. This fucker is extremely sick and I don’t think even your club has the first clue what he’s like,”

I tell my girl’s grandpa as he swears on his end of the phone. “He’s got an entire wall of his bedroom filled with pictures of Brynn rangin’ from when he first saw her up to recently. She hasn’t left the clubhouse, so the last picture is from the last time she was off the compound. I couldn’t even step foot in the bedroom it’s so bad, Blood. He’s got a weddin’ dress in the closet and a tuxedo.”

“You’re not tellin’ me somethin’. What is it, King?”

Blood asks, anger filling his voice as I take a deep breath to prepare myself for what I have to tell him.

“He’s been in her house, Blood. The bed is covered in her panties that have clearly been used by him. I can’t even tell you how many times he’s been in her house, but there’s definitely more than a few pairs of her panties inside this place,”

I tell him and wait for him to explode with this information.

“Fuck! My baby girl is bein’ stalked by a sick fuck and we had no fuckin’ clue he was still so close to her after he left here,”

I hear Scathe in the background and I’m not surprised he’s there and listening to everything I have to say. “King, is she okay?”

“No, she’s not. She’s havin’ a hard time eatin’ and I can’t even begin to imagine how she’s gonna be with this latest development,”

I answer him honestly.

“You’re gonna tell her?”

Blood questions me, surprise filling his voice.

“I’ve told her everythin’ I’ve found so far. This is her life and directly impacts her. I can’t withhold information from her, Blood. You might not agree with my decision, but it’s the one I’ve made,”

I tell him as I hear Ace in the background trying to calm his brother down.

“It’s the right decision, King. Brynn needs to know what’s goin’ on with this so she can protect herself. Does she have her gun with her?”

Blood asks.

“I’ll ask when I get back to the clubhouse. The guys are gonna come out. When I know anythin’ more, I’ll let you know,”

I tell him, letting Blood hang up the phone after thanking me for the update.

We all get back on our bikes and don’t hesitate to head back to the clubhouse.

I’ll ask Vault later what we’re gonna do about the shit we’ve discovered today.

For now, I just want to get in my room with Brynn and hold her close while she breaks apart.

This is going to absolutely destroy my girl and Vault needs to understand that I’ll be with her until she doesn’t need me to hold her close as she works through what we’ve seen today.

Then, I’ll have church and we’ll put more plans in place to deal with this shit.

For now, my focus is my girl and that’s exactly where it should be.
