Chapter Eighteen

T here’s a delicious ache between my legs and finger shaped bruises on my body, a red stain where the lipstick has smeared across my inner thigh. I stare at myself in the mirror, the sun shining through the small window in the bathroom. I slept. All night and didn’t wake up before the sun.

Killian is still sleeping on the mattress in the middle of the floor, his feet hanging off the edge, clearly too tall for the bed. My cheeks burn with heat as I remember everything he did last night, how thoroughly he fucked me, owned me with rough touches and soft kisses, how he sent me over the edge and had me seeing stars. Not even I can bring on an orgasm like he did, it was intense and shattering, leaving me like putty in his hands .

Just remembering is enough for my muscles to tighten and desire to wash through me.

Tugging my hair into a bun, I hit the button to turn on the shower and when steam starts to fill the room, I climb under the spray, letting the water ease the aches in my muscles. I wash away the red mark on the inside of my thigh, but water and soap won’t be enough to wash away his possession. No, that’s soul deep. I’m afraid I’ll always belong to him.

When I’m done, I climb out and wrap a towel around myself, before I grab my toothbrush and turn on the faucet.

The door suddenly opens, and a very naked Killian fills the frame. The toothbrush pauses halfway to my mouth as my eyes take in all of him. I saw it all last night but – fuck…

This man is huge. All hard muscle and sharp lines, his cock hanging heavily between his legs.

“Keep looking at me like that, Savannah and I’ll have you for breakfast.”

I swallow thickly, pretending the sound of my name rasping from his throat doesn’t do wild things to my insides. He looks at me like he’s starving, hungry eyes stripping me bare.

His mouth cocks up on one side smugly, “Greedy girl.”

“I didn’t say anything,” I stutter out.

He chuckles, “Don’t need to.” He wanders passed me and switches the shower back on, “The way you’re staring at my cock tells me everything I need to know.”

I roll my lips together and flick my eyes back to the mirror as I begin to brush my teeth, but I watch him in the reflection, I see the smirk and his hand wrapping around his dick, giving it a tug before he climbs under the spray and lets it go.

It’s hard not to watch him but if I don’t stop, I’m going to be climbing back into that shower with him. I worried about how this morning would go, I wondered if he would be cruel or leave before I woke. I didn’t know what would happen with the sunrise but this side of him, the obvious desire and lack of regret helps ease my anxiety.

I don’t know what happens now.

I spit into the sink and slip from the bathroom as Killian finishes up in the shower and quickly dress in a pair of sweats and hoodie, heading down to the kitchen to make coffee and breakfast. I am starving and craving pancakes and bacon but first caffeine.

I don’t have much in the cupboards and fridge since I’ve yet to do a full grocery shop now that I’ve moved in, but I have everything I need to at least make us coffee and food. I’m getting the coffee ready when Killian joins me in the kitchen.

He steps up close to my back, the heat of him pressing through my clothes but then his hand starts tugging at my hair, loosening the band until it falls free of the bun and tumbles down my back .

He then fists it, wrapping it around his hand before he tugs my head back, forcing me to look up as his mouth crashes down onto mine.

I melt into him as he owns me as thoroughly as he did the night before, tongue sweeping through my mouth. He slows the kiss and releases me, but it takes me a few seconds to catch up and then I realize I’m leaning back on him, practically giving him my entire weight that his arm around my waist is the only thing holding me up.

Scrambling, I right myself, a blush stealing across my cheeks. He lifts his hand, and his thumb gently caresses over where I know I’m red, “You blush so beautifully, Tiny Dancer.”

His words only make me blush harder, leaving me in a frozen state of shock as I watch him take control and start making us both a coffee. He gets mine perfect, one sugar and a dash of milk and then hands it to me, leaving his own black.

“How do you know?” I ask, cradling the cup.

His dark brows twitch into a frown, “Know what?”

“How I like my coffee.”

“I watch, Savannah.”

I take a sip and then set it down so I can get everything I need out of the fridge to make us breakfast, feeling his eyes on me, watching what I do. Mixing up the pancake batter, I place it down to start on the bacon, crisping it up at the stove .

I’m about to start on the pancakes when my cell buzzes on the counter.

Adrien Matthews: I had a great time last night. Let’s do it again.

I grimace at the text, not noticing that Killian can also see it.

“A great time, hm?” He says in a low dangerous tone, “Should you tell him, or should I?”

“Tell him what?”

“That he may have taken you on a date, but it was me who ended the night in your bed.” Killian presses his thumb to my bottom lip, “It was me on your tongue and in your cunt. My come trickling down your thigh and my fingerprints on your ass. We can take a picture if you like?” He lets my mouth go only to curl his finger under my chin, “Show him who you really belong to.”

His body presses me back against the counter.

“Did you have a good time?” He asks me.

“No.” I don’t lie, I can’t. Adrien isn’t Killian and he never will be.

“Good,” He growls, “Now text him back and tell him to fuck off.”

I nod and type out a message.

Me: I’m sorry, dinner was good, but this isn’t something I’d like to continue. Let me know how much I owe you for my half of the bill .

“Sorry?” Killian laughs with a shake of his head, “You’re not sorry, Savannah.”

“I’m trying to be nice,” I huff.

My phone buzzes with another text.

Adrien Matthews: Fuck you. Bitch.

My mouth drops open. Wow. That wasn’t what I was expecting at all.

Another text brightens my screen.

Adrien Matthews: You can pay the whole bill. Send me the money and thanks for wasting my fucking time.

“I’ll kill him.” Killian snatches my phone and starts to type.

“Killian!” I gasp, trying to get it back, “Stop.”

“No.” He snaps.

“Killian!” I try again to get my cell back, but he keeps it out of reach until he’s finished typing whatever it is and hits send. Only then does he give it back.

Me: Speak to my girl like that again and I’ll make sure you’re eating through a straw for the rest of your life. She won’t be paying you for the meal, be grateful she gave you even an hour of her time.

My eyes bug out, “Oh my god.”

The ticks beside the message turn blue, showing he’s read it .

I stare at Killian, but he isn’t fazed in the slightest as he stabs a fork into a piece of bacon and shoves it into his mouth. When he’s finished chewing, he gives me the biggest grin like what he did was a completely normal thing for someone to do.

I want to be mad at him, for bulldozing the situation like he’s done so many times before, for using violence as a way to solve problems but the way his face is still beaming at me, so damn pleased with himself, I can’t help but crack a smile.

I’m quick to hide it with a shake of my head but he knows he’s won.

But I’m not going to show him what it did to me seeing him call me his girl .
