A new chapter? Already?

I'll be honest I'm a little worried that if I keep updating like I am right now I'll soon run out of chapters to write lol.

But YOLO! cringes

A quick shout out to all those who have voted and commented and started to follow me! You're all so bloody amazing!

Love Rose x

You know that feeling you get when you wake up suddenly from an amazing sleep and you are momentarily disoriented, dazed, not completely sure about your whereabouts and surroundings?

Well that wasn't me.

I knew exactly where I was. Currently locked underneath the heavy muscled arms of Zachary Stone, who was still fast asleep, looking as picturesque as usual, his dark thick eyebrows pulled together, his long eyelashes resting on his chiseled cheekbones, his pink pursed lips slightly apart. Somewhere in the night he had taken off his shirt and I can see his smooth, tanned chest peeking out from under the sheets.

God damn, this man was beautiful- truly a sight to behold, especially so early in the morning.

I lifted my hand from underneath him and ran it through my knotted hair, suddenly feeling self conscious. I gently try to pry myself from underneath his arms, try being the key word, because the moment I shifted his eyes shot open and his arms tightened pulling me flush against him. My hands flatten against his bare chest and I quickly pull away from his warmth.

"Trying to escape?" He growls lowly as his face goes straight into the crook of my neck, inhaling deeply.

"I wanted to go to the toilet." I reply, trying my hardest to talk slowly and control my breathing- because you know morning breath is not a joke.

He smirks and leans in closer, my breathing stutters.

"Are you desperate?" He asks slyly.

I shake my head.

"Then stay for a bit longer," he says, "it feels good to wake up with you in my arms."

It feels good to wake up in your arms, i think but don't say as a blush spreads across my cheeks, making me resemble a ripe tomato.

I can't help the smile as I settle back into his arms and just as we both get comfortable again, his bedroom door bangs open, startling both of us.

"I've had enough Zac, I swear to God if you don't go and get Eve-"

There's nothing but an awkward silence as Kate's eyes go enormous and she stops mid sentence at the sight of me and her brother in his bed. Her gaze flicks between the both of us and if I thought it couldn't possibly get any more embarrassing, Jayden saunters up behind Kate, the same expression of shock plastered across his face.

"E-Eve?" she stutters, her eyes wide in disbelief.

I don't know what else to do apart from hide myself under the sheets, my whole face burning in humiliation. I can feel Zac's arms tighten around my waist.

"Get.The.Fuck.Out." he hisses out through clenches teeth and I turn my face into this chest.

I know Kate had questions, but perhaps the shock of seeing me in her brothers bed had rendered her silent because after hesitating for a second she quickly shuts the door and I can hear her hurried footsteps as they move away from our room.

"Shit, I'm sorry about that." Zac says annoyed,? as he pulls the cover away from me, revealing me curled up into his side.

"That was so embarrassing." I can't help but say I sit myself up, my cheeks still stained red.

He smirks, "Why should you be embarrassed?" he asks, and I can tell he's about to say something that was going to make this red tint on my cheeks permanent.

"You're my mate, this is exactly where you should be." His voice is darker now and with his infamous smirk that makes my heart flip as he pulls the covers over both of us. I gasp when he pulls me down so that my back is flat against the mattress, his legs go around my waist and he traps me between his thighs, holding himself above me with his elbows.

"Right here," he whispers, leaning down so his breath fans into my ears, making me shudder, "like this," his voice is a seductive melody which makes me close my eyes without thought, "under me.."

His fingers trail up my exposed skin, where my top had risen up, leaving a trail of fire behind.

And just when I think we are about to have another replay of what happened last night, he pulls away, but not before his lips plant a small kiss on my collarbone.

The cover falls away as he rises, letting the sunlight flood back into my sight.

"You better go to the toilet now Eve," Zac says, his voice strained, and I look up at him as he sits on the edge of the bed, his back facing me, "otherwise there's a high chance you won't be leaving this bed at all."

I clear my throat when I realise the meaning behind his words and I quickly scramble out of his bed, ignoring how shaky my legs feel and rush out of his room, beelining straight back to mine. Its only once I shut the door behind me, and lean against it, I can finally exhale the breath I didn't realise I had been holding in.

This is not good, I think. This is definitely not good at all.

★★

I heard the scream before I felt her arms around my body, her full weight knocking into me, making me fall forwards, heading straight for the ground. Thankfully her incredibly fast instincts managed to save me before I landed flat on my face.

"Arrghh, O-M-G!" Kate screamed practically into my ears deafening me. "You sneaky little girl," she giggled, wrapping her arms around me and jumping up and down on the stop.

"I didn't think you had it in you." she yells, taking a step back, her eyebrows wiggling suggestively.

I hold myself back from rolling my eyes at her overly dramatic antics. "Kate-calm down." I order, my hands pushing her back, "nothing happened between us." I explain but I can tell from her raised eyebrows she doesn't believe a word I said.

"I was so scared about you guys, but clearly I had nothing to worry about." she smirks and I shake my head.

"Why would you be scared?" I ask, growing confused when Kates pretty face tightens. She wraps her slender arm around my shoulder and forces me towards the kitchen.

"God Eve," she says with a deep exhale, "you should have seen my brother when he got back from leaving you at your old pack."

Old pack- that sends a shot of sadness through me, but I ignore it, and turn to look up at Kate who towered over me even without the ridiculous six inch heels that she was currently wearing.

"He went mental. I mean all of this-" she gestures around us as we pass through one of the dining rooms, "was a complete disaster zone."

I roll my eyes at her exaggeration but Kate looks at me with enlarged eye, "No Eve, I'm being serious. Zac went full wolf-slash-Alpha mode and destroyed everything he could get his hands on."

I was in shock and it forced me to stop in my tracks.

"Are you serious?" I ask and Kate nodded her head frantically.

"Deadly serious."

I breathe out a deep sigh and start walking, Kate at my side. I couldn't believe it. If it hadn't been for Kate telling me I wouldn't have guessed that he had been as affected as I had been.

"We had to cage him down." Kate admits in a whisper and it's so quiet I miss what she said at first.

"What?" I ask and her eyes remain guilty and she looks around uncomfortably, her arms wrapped around herself.

"He shifted after the second day into his wolf and was going crazy so some of the other wolves had to lock him down in the basement."

I gasp. "What?" I ask in complete disbelief, "you had to lock him up?"

Kate licks her lips, struggling to look me in the eyes. "We had to do it Eve, for his safety and yours."? I don't say anything, I mean what could I possibly say? I was slightly pissed off that I had to find all of this out from his sister, despite the fact we had just spent the night together.

"The moment his wolf took over, all he wanted to do was come to you," I listen carefully to Kate, "but he had no control over his wolf and we didn't know what would happen if he came to you in that state, so locking him up was the only option available."

Suddenly, all I could feel was guilt. This whole time I had been selfishly thinking that I was the only one that suffered and clearly I had been so wrong.

"Oh god." I whisper but Kate quickly pulls me into a hug.

"Eve, I didn't tell you this to make you feel quilty," she says quickly when i feel hot tears prick my eyes, "I said it because I know my stupid brother won't tell you himself and I just don't want you to think that you were the only one hurting."

I hug her back feeling grateful. "Thank you for telling me," I murmur.

"Thank you for coming back." She replies.

★★

"I'm not talking to you."

"Carla, please." I plead at the brunette who was trying her hardest to pretend I wasn't in the same room with her.

She carried on washing up the dishes, looking completely uninterested. She flicks her long wavy hair over her shoulders when it gets in her way as she puts the plates away.

"Please Carla?" I call out again, walking up behind her to give her a hug. She nudges me back, dropping the plate back into the soapy water causing soap bubbles to fly into the air.

"Don't you dare." she snapped, her finger pointed at me, "I know you were desperate to go back home but couldn't you even give me a bloody heads up? Huh?" she questions, her eyes narrowed in anger.

"Do you know how worried I was?"

I pout at her, feeling so horrible.

"Sure I may not mean much to you Eve, but unfortunately you were the only fucking friend I had in this place and you just left." I can see the tears in her eyes but she quickly hides them when she turns back to the sink.

"But I came back," I argue, "look I'm here aint I?"

Carla scoffs, "Only because the mate bond forced you back," she states, "otherwise you would have been long gone and forgotten all about me."

I'm speechless.

"How could I forget you Carla?" I ask feeling defeated. This girl had put everything on the line and was the only one who had helped me when I needed her the most. It hurt me to think she thought I could forget about her.

I reach my hands into the pocket of my sweater and wrap my fingers around the object. I pull it out carefully and glance down at it before looking back up at Carla who had finished washing and was drying her hands, still silent and refusing to look at me.

I smile, gently reaching over to her and forcing her to turn to face me. She shook my hands away the first time but I persisted and eventually she turnt to me.

"What?" she snaps annoyed.

"Carla," I whisper, "how on earth can I forget you when all I did was listen to you?"

She looks at me with confusion and annoyance clear in her eyes. "What the heck are you talking about?" she asks, making me smile wide.

I reach for her hands and place the locket into her palm, wrapping her fingers around it. She breaks eye contact with me to look down at the compass she had given me when I attempted to run away when I first came to this pack.

Her gasp echoes loudly in the room.

"I followed North and it led me straight back to you." I say, and for a second there is only silence before she looks back at me and bursts out laughing.

"Shut the fuck up Eve. Go and say that corny stuff to your mate." she laughs, rolling her eyes and I can't help but laugh back.

"Friends?" I ask, my eyes wide with hope and Carla shakes her head before wrapping her arms around me in a hug.

"Friends." she agrees.

Honestly I just love Carla and Eve together. For those who didn't get the reference in Chapter Five, when Eve attempts to run away, Carla gives Eve her compass and tell her to follow North in order to get home. I thought it

would be cute for Eve to give the compass back by saying the same words :)
