Chapter 56

Chapter fifty-six

Billy buzzed Rosa up and opened the door, leaving it ajar as she went about finishing the canapés she’d made, feeling like she needed to create something more than just the frantic sex they’d been enjoying.

She smiled to herself when she heard the door gently click closed, then frowned when Rosa didn’t appear. Stepping out into the hall, she almost fell over.

Standing in heels that accentuated the curve of her calves, Rosa loosened the belt of her raincoat, letting it fall open. As Billy met her gaze, a slow, teasing smile curved onto Rosa’s lips.

With deliberate, unhurried movements, she slid the coat from her shoulders, letting it glide down her arms and pool at her feet, revealing bare skin and the sexy lingerie that hugged every line of her body.

For a moment, she stood there—confident, unapologetic, and utterly breathtaking—her eyes never leaving Billy’s as the air between them crackled with anticipation.

“Okay, that was…unexpected,” Billy said, taking a step towards her.

“Really?” Rosa cocked her head, a mischievous glint in her eye. “You’ve teased me all day and you didn’t think it might have consequences?”

“Well…” Billy began. The backs of her fingers trailed down Rosa’s cheek, featherlight. “I hoped so, but when you didn’t respond…” Her touch slipped to the nape of Rosa’s neck, fingers threading into her hair, drawing her closer. “I wasn’t sure.”

Rosa’s breath caught as their lips hovered close, barely touching. “I guess we still have things to work on,” she whispered, her heart thudding in her chest.

“I’m willing to work…” Billy’s words brushed across her lips, breath warm against her skin. “…on anything.”

“Good…because…I was thinking we could practise more…” Rosa managed, her words dissolving as Billy’s mouth claimed hers, the kiss stealing her breath, Billy’s searching tongue sweeping any further thought aside.

“Scissoring,” Rosa gasped between kisses, her body already thrumming with anticipation.

Billy grinned, eyes locked on hers, and took Rosa’s hand, walking her backwards towards the bedroom. Eyes holding as Rosa let herself be led.

Billy grinned before she arched backward, her thigh slotting between Rosa’s as she moved into place, pressing until they were clit against clit.

Rosa followed Billy’s movement, bowing her back until every point of friction was right there between them, her breath shuddering, palm gripping Billy’s forearm like a vice.

“Just like that,” she gasped, her voice rough with want.

They moved together, hips rolling, breath coming in short, ragged bursts. The room filled with the sound of their bodies, the slick heat where they met, and the creak of the bed as it rocked beneath them.

Rosa’s nails dug into Billy’s back, urging her on, needing more. “Keep going…yes.”

Billy’s hand slid down, guiding Rosa’s leg higher, deepening the contact. Their eyes met—hungry, wild, full of promise—and neither looked away. The rhythm built, pleasure coiling tight, every movement a silent cry of, ‘yes, yes, yes!’

Rosa came first, her body tensing, a low moan caught between clenched teeth. Billy followed, hips stuttering. Her laugh dissolved into a gasp as she let go, collapsing against the mattress. “That was so good.”

They lay tangled together, skin sticky, breath mingling, the world narrowed to the warmth of the sheets and the thud of their hearts.

“What other things have you learned without me?” Rosa chuckled as she shifted and slotted into the space beside Billy, curling her limbs around her lover. “I want you to show me everything.”

“I think I can manage that, though it might not be as much as you think.”

“I’m not talking just about sex.” Rosa leaned up on her elbow and looked down at Billy. “Yesterday…you really turned me on…the way you talked, apologised, had my back with Imogen.”

“Like I said, I’m all in for this. You and me—a proper family again.”

“I know, and I think I’m starting to see it now. To trust you to be that person again.”

Billy smiled, reaching up to push away the hair that had fallen in front of Rosa’s face. “I want that so much, Rosa.”
