At a coffee shop safely outside of Ken’s ownership, I buy a latte and sit down. In order to cancel the app and end my beta testing, I have to fill out a form.
If they want honesty, that’s what they’re going to get.
I sigh and delete the app, toss my empty cup in the garbage, and feel the relief. I’m still no closer to knowing what I want to do.
Decker’s changes may not stick. It hasn’t been that long since he stopped seeing other women. But he did call my brother to tell Will he’s falling for me. That’s not something you do if you’re just playing around.
Not when you could lose your best friend in the process.
Decker doesn’t do anything he doesn’t want to do—outside of the bedroom as well as inside it. But does he really want one woman for the long haul?
And then there’s Ken.
I don’t know if I can forgive him for what he said to me and didn’t listen, but I can understand why he’d be upset. Maybe he can be forgiven.
Maybe.
We’ll see.
