Chapter 9 #2

"No, Leija," he said. Then he said another string of things I didn't understand and didn't care about.

The hamster had drawn that map for me. He didn't have the right to take it away from me!

All the stress and fear of my situation came crashing into me, churning inside of me as it turned into anger.

Eun didn't have the right to keep me here.

He might have rescued me, but he didn't have the right to restrain me in any fashion!

I lunged for him, my hands outstretched.

He danced back, setting down the tiny bill on a nearby table.

There wasn't anyone else in the restaurant anymore, so I didn't stop. I chased him as he moved backward, trying to get to his pocket as he swiveled, moving through the empty tables with a lithe agility that would have been beautiful if I wasn't so infuriated that he had stolen my map.

"Why are you so fast!" I shouted as I lunged for him again, only to have him dance around a table.

I was never going to catch him like this. I was not the kind of person who got frustrated like this, who resorted to chasing some guy around a room, yet here I was, lunging after him like we were playing tag.

There was no way to work through this, to talk through this, if he was willing to just snatch things away from me.

I was alone in this. He wasn't the one who woke up naked in a warehouse where monsters were waiting to eat him.

He wasn't the one stranded on an alien planet with no idea of where home might be.

He wasn't the one who had to struggle every day to learn an entirely new language while having no resources to translate the words into his original language.

All of my frustrations, my fear, my unresolved trauma of waking up in a horrific situation with no outlet but to run naked through the streets boiled up inside me, adrenaline warping my latent flight into a fight.

I had pushed it all down, bottled it all up, and it had nowhere to go but out.

I let out a scream of frustration, planted one foot on the chair, the other on the top of the table, and lunged at him like a wild animal, going over the table instead of around it.

He moved to the side.

In one moment, I was about to full body tackle him, the next it became clear I was about to eat shit by crashing into the floor.

Then, just as quickly as he was out of the way, he was back, his arms around me as he caught me.

He stumbled, the awkward sideways catch throwing him off balance.

He twisted me, lifting me up in the air as we fell, the motion of his twist making it so that his body went down underneath me.

He crashed into the ground, and I crashed into him, knocking the breath out of him with a hearty umph.

I shoved my hand into his pocket, grabbed my map, and shoved it into my bra.

He let out a soft growl.

I looked up to see his teeth barred at me.

His eyes were wild, like they had been the other night when he had crouched over me, like they'd been when he had clung to me in his bed, the red creeping into the edges of them while he looked at me like he was moments from tearing me apart and devouring me.

This time, he was holding me on top of him, his body hard against my soft curves.

One of his hands had landed on my ass, and instead of releasing me, his fingers squeezed, the tip of his claws pricking through my clothes.

I could feel his arousal stiffening against my thighs as his lower body tensed, lifting his hips up against me.

Heat churned in me as his lips parted, his snarl deepening, the look in his eyes still wild.

He looked like he couldn't decide if he wanted to bite me or fuck me.

I tilted my chin up, excitement rushing through me.

I needed that release. I needed the heat, the fire, the pounding ache of losing myself in another person's body.

I needed him to sink into me, pummelling all the stress out of me with the wild joining of our bodies, sending heat flaring through me.

The danger of it was an aphrodisiac, the promise of a release from the crushing worry of my situation.

"Eun," came a calm, deep voice behind us, his uncle.

Suddenly, I felt like I'd been caught making out on the couch by a parent.

I swung my arms up, slapping my hands over Eun's mouth so hard my palm stung. My palms pressed against the edges of his teeth as my hands smothered the sound, cutting off his growl so it was less audible, now just a deep rumble through his chest.

I looked back over my shoulder to see his uncle was a few feet away, both his hands held out, palms towards us, his eyes wide as his entire body was tensed.

"Eun," he repeated, and said a string of other words that included the word "her".

Eun let out another snarl that tickled my palms, and his arms tightened around me, only now he wasn't looking at me like he was going to eat me. He was staring at his uncle with an intense glare, the red in his eyes sparkling like sickness.

Then I wasn't on top of him anymore.

He moved so quickly I didn't know what was happening until my back was against the floor, my hands falling away from his mouth as he twisted me, and he was crouched over me like he was born to run on all fours instead of walk on two, facing his uncle like he was about to launch himself across the room and attack him.

The sound of fabric ripping filled the air, and the front of his shirt sagged.

I saw the glimpse of the long strands of hair whipping out on either side of his sides, as if they came from the middle of his back.

I kept my hands to myself for once.

"Leija, don't move," his Uncle said, his voice low and calm. Then he said the same thing he had before, only this time my mind recognized the other two words. "Eun, let her go."

"Mine," Eun snarled.

This was weird.

Hot, but weird.
