Chapter 17 Midnight Return

The villager left after bringing him over.

Only the two of us remained.

Sheng Yan’s expression was indifferent as he stepped inside.

I asked, “Why are you here?”

He didn’t answer.

The next second I was pinned against the door.

Sheng Yan gave me no chance to breathe. He pried my lips open.

He had never been this rough before.

It was as if he wanted to bite me to pieces and vent the hatred in his heart.

I refused to yield and bit back.

The taste of iron spread in our mouths.

Neither of us would admit defeat.

When the kiss nearly suffocated us, I hammered his chest.

“Let go.”

Sheng Yan stopped, then lifted me by the waist and carried me to the bed.

He threw me down.

From the moment he entered he hadn’t said a single word.

When his long fingers stirred the water in the basin,

he only lowered his eyes and watched my reaction coldly.

Then he flipped me over.

Sheng Yan showed no mercy.

Like a wild beast, he crashed into me without restraint.

The lamplight shattered across the floor, swaying in chaos.

I didn’t know how long it lasted.

A drop of moisture suddenly touched my back.

Then two drops, three drops…

Sheng Yan was crying.

He trembled slightly and forced out his first words since we met again.

“Was everything a lie?”
