Chapter 15
Prime
I hated planes. I hated being forced to endure hours of someone else being in control of my life.
I longed for the feel of my bike underneath me, rumbling and powerful.
Sitting in a long tube that was shooting across the sky felt like a death trap, a shiny version of a casket.
I was buried alive and needed to scratch my way out.
Every time the woman seated next to me winked or rubbed her shoulder against me I had to clench my fist to keep from clawing her eyes out.
She made a purring sound anytime I accidentally looked her way.
I’d had to shove her groping hand off my thigh more times than I could count.
The invitation she was giving me was very clear, especially when she draped the blanket she’d requested over the both of us.
“It’s not happening, bitch,” I finally snarled. “If you’re in heat then maybe the old man by the window will oblige you.”
She raised a hand full of sharp nails and prepared to rip them down my face. A large arm reached across me from the aisle before I could react. A hand clamped over her wrist, and she was dragged out of her seat.
“I figured you’d be up to your shenanigans by now,” a deep voice drawled.
“I can’t leave you alone for even a damn hour without you going after another man’s cock.
Well sugar, you can’t have him, but I’ve got what you need like always.
Get your sweet ass into the bathroom and let’s take care of your itch. ”
“Sorry,” the man drawled to me. “My wife has a bit of an addiction to picking up men. I guess she couldn’t resist all those tattoos. We were too damn late to get seats together. Thanks for saying no. The man in the airport didn’t. It’s a damn shame he may never walk again.”
I needed my bike. I needed to race over the roads and through tight curves to erase the last ten minutes.
I wanted the Sinners, the club, the loud embrace of hard rock music; anything to drown out the words he’d just spoken.
It was amazing that people were frightened by us, our bikes and tattoos, when predators more often wore short skimpy dresses and high heels.
At least she’d taken my mind off Zoe for a while.
Damn, that woman was reckless and stubborn!
I knew that before I took her to my bed, but I’d lulled myself into believing she’d changed now that she wasn’t with her father.
I’d assumed she knew she was supposed to obey her Prez like all the other women who hung around the club.
Somehow I’d forgotten that when her father took her title, her money and everything else she owned he wasn’t able to take her strength, her intelligence or her desire to save everyone.
Now it was me she’d decided needed saving, and I hadn’t paid enough attention to her exact words. I was too damn busy screwing her blind.
What the hell was I doing? Going after her like a damn lap dog was the most ignorant thing I’d ever done for any woman, especially alone. She was probably perfectly safe, but if she wasn’t then how did I expect to do anything about it?
I’d foolishly told the Sinners it was going to be easy for one man to sneak into Damien’s compound and extract Zoe without anyone catching us, but it was all bravado and no fucking intelligence. Hundreds of armed men against myself? Who did I think died and made me a damn hero?
I only had to lick my lips and remember the taste of her on them to understand what had gotten into me. My cock rapidly rose in my pants when I pictured her riding me fast and hard. I held her scent in my nostrils and heard her moans in my ears as if she was on my lap, bouncing eagerly on my cock.
Damn, I was going to be rushing to the plane’s tiny bathroom if I didn’t stop thinking about Zoe. I shuddered at the thought of meeting my horny seatmate there. I knew no matter what she’d already done with her hubby she’d offer to give me what I needed. Disgusting!
I bit my lip against my rising hormones and tried to make plans for getting inside the compound. Every security plan had a weakness. I vowed to find it as quickly as possible. I closed my eyes and began to picture the blue prints I’d seen of Damien’s compound, but I dozed off in the middle of it.
Dreams, vivid ones, replaced the blueprints.
Zoe was on the flight with me. She was playing with my cock, rubbing it through my jeans and whispering about how badly she wanted to suck it.
I was startled awake by the announcement to put our seats upright and buckle our seat belts because we were landing.
The announcement saved me from a fate worse than death.
My seatmate was back, and she was unzipping my jeans. I was hard and heavy against her palm. Her grin was wide, and her eyes burned with a wild fever.
I took her wrists and gripped them with my fists. “I don’t want to hurt you lady but touch me again and I’ll break all your fingers.”
She pouted and squirmed, but I didn’t release her until the plane touched down. I grabbed my bag and pushed my way to the front of the plane. I was the first to disembark, unsettled by my experience and wishing I was back in Texas where people weren’t so crazy.
I had dangerous things to think about, far more dangerous than an overly hormonal slut. I needed to breach a damn fortress and save my Russian princess. Her uncle might have had her believing she was welcomed with open arms, but I had a bad feeling he’d be using her in his sick game of power.
My emotions were in such an uproar, and I was so tired that I never noticed the thugs who started following me as soon as I came into the terminal. If I had then things might have turned out differently, but I soon came to realize fate may have been giving me a gift.
The SUV I picked up at the car rental was going to be a good enough mode of transportation, but it didn’t offer me the satisfaction my bike would.
I slung my duffel bag into the backseat just an instant before the prickling began on the back of my neck.
Something was definitely wrong. The prickling spread through my body, and I reached for a weapon that wasn’t there.
Damn it! I hadn’t been able to get anything worth carrying onto the plane.
I was determined to fight whoever was coming up behind me despite my lack of a weapon. I had my fists and my feet and was good at utilizing both. I was actually able to make them into lethal weapons if necessary. But I never got a chance to use either of them.
The pain of being hit with something heavy and hard on the back of my head took the breath from my lungs and turned my vision to gray.
The agony caused instant nausea, and I gagged.
However, I managed to keep the sound coming out of my mouth to one moan, then silence.
I needed my attackers to believe I was knocked out and incapacitated.
Blood ran down my neck and across my cheeks, warm and coppery scented.
I was dizzy, but aware. Opening my eyes I saw stars mixed with the gray along with large hands shoving me into the back seat, tying my hands behind my back and my ankles together.
Sudden total darkness stunned my senses when a blanket was thrown over me.
It was fine. I wasn’t able to see, but I could hear.
That’s what I needed the most anyway. I fought the dizziness and the queasiness because I wanted to listen and learn who had me and why.
Was it Aguilar or Damien who’d sent men to get me?
How had anyone known I’d be on board the plane?
I hoped to discover the answers before we reached our destination, but I was having a problem focusing.
It took everything I had to push the terrible pain exploding in my head aside and understand what was happening.
Doors slammed and the engine started. Tires squealed as the SUV took off.
Unable to brace myself my body rolled off the seat and into the floor board on top of my duffel bag.
I heard laughter from the front seat and barely registered that they thought my falling was a joke.
It was actually a good thing my hands were tied, otherwise I’d have instinctively tried to brace myself and given away the fact that I was awake.
“He’s not such a hot shot now, is he? Damien was dead wrong. We didn’t have any trouble at all. Hell, the fool didn’t even see us coming,” the driver announced.
“He didn’t look for us you asshole. He didn’t have any reason to believe we’d know he was coming, just like that woman Mickey told us about. Andrei’s damn good at keeping us up to date on that MC’s movements, and Drago’s too. I hate that he’s Aguilar’s snoop from now on,” his friend replied.
“We’ll get him back. There’s no fucking way the boss is going to let that asshole keep his son.
Aguilar’s a dead man walking. As soon as Damien takes over Chicago he’ll have the leaders behind him and Aguilar will die a slow, agonizing death.
All that money he’s built-up selling women and kids will go to Damien,” the driver replied.
“What if Aguilar decides he doesn’t care to play around with Andrei? What if the information he provides isn’t enough to cover his debts? He could start a war if he kills the kid.”
“There’s going to be war no matter what happens to Andrei.
Don’t you fucking get it? Once Damien hands Drago’s daughter and this MC guy over to Aguilar there’s no stopping it.
It’ll be a damn bloodbath. The leaders will take sides and nobody’s going to win.
I plan on getting my ass out of the country asap,” the driver divulged.
My brain didn’t want to put the puzzle together.
I heard the facts but none of them made sense.
I bit my lip to help me focus. There wasn’t any pain involved since all my nerve endings seemed to be running to the back of my head, yet it helped me to put a few of the pieces together, at least enough to know that Damien definitely had Zoe and was ready to hand her over to Aguilar.
Apparently, he wanted me too. I assumed it was for all the trouble the Sinners had caused him. Maybe he also knew I was supposed to assassinate him. Obviously, this Andrei was the informant Drago was worried about, but I couldn’t seem to remember who he was or if I’d ever known.
My poorly abused brain just kept sending one name out, Zoe.
I was going to get to her in a much different way than I’d imagined, and without any work on my part.
It wasn’t a heroic or pretty way, but it was going to work.
If I stayed alive long enough to do anything at all.
There was the possibility that I’d be given to Aguilar immediately or that Damien’s men would kill me because there was no guarantee that two blood thirsty, power-hungry men would keep their word to each other.
The car stopped and I was dragged feet first from it. My head bounced off the ground with a sickening sound and I finally gave in to the darkness.
