Chapter 16

Petrov

The room was destroyed. Everything in it was in ruins.

Priceless art lay in tatters, vases that I had paid thousands to possess were shattered on the floor, and all the electronics were now worthless piles of shit.

Yet none of it mattered. Nothing I owned was worth more to me than what had been stolen by my brother.

Zoe, despite my anger at her transgressions was still more precious than gold.

She was not my heir, but she was my blood.

She came from me unlike the piece of garbage I was forced to refer to as my brother.

Now, he was nothing. He had betrayed me for the last time, and I was going to be happy to see him dead.

He had finally gone too far with his ambitions and was now in an arrangement with the enemy trying to save his worthless son.

The fool did not realize that I knew the exact details of his betrayal and had enough proof to place everything that was blamed on me at his feet.

He was as guilty as Aguilar and was going to pay the same price.

I only hated the fact that I was not going to be given the privilege to kill him.

He would be sent to Mother Russia for a formal execution once I ended this mess.

I was not going to allow my daughter to be collateral damage in this war. I was going to save her regardless of the fact that I had cut her out of my life. Too much had changed.

Damien had called with his “deal”. It was all a lie. He was never going to return Zoe or Prime no matter what I gave up for them. He truly believed me to be a fool. I had not allowed my anger over his lies to rise until I was off the phone, then I destroyed everything in sight.

Thankfully, I had already received the intel on his alliance with Aguilar and knew Andrei was the snitch. I had made plans within plans, so complicated that only I knew everything. This shit was going to come to a bloody end in a matter of hours. Many were going to die, and I did not give a fuck.

I used my cell phone, the only thing still usable in the room, a new encoded one that could not be breached, to call the Sinner’s clubhouse.

My call was answered before the first ring ended.

It appeared the MC was anxious over not having heard from Prime.

It was up to me to give them the bad news and make them another offer of a partnership.

“Neither of them are here,” the gruff voice of a man said when he realized who was calling. “Prime will finish his business with you as soon as he can, but you need to stay off his back and let him get on with it.”

“I know they are not there. In fact, I am the only one who will tell you where they are and how to get them back. Which Sinner is this?” I asked.

“What have you done? If you’re playing some sick game I’ll see you get to hell quicker than you’d like.”

“I am not playing a game. Damien is the one doing that. He has my daughter and Prime. He intends to hand them over to Aguilar in order to buy his son’s life back. Now, if you are not the one he left in charge then please get him. I do not have time to deal with an argumentative ass.”

“Fuck! How did Damien get Prime already? He just got off the damn plane an hour ago. And yes, you can talk to me. I’m the VP, the second in command. My name is Ditch. Start explaining,” he demanded.

“Damien’s son is the snitch. He has been the one interfering with my business and setting me up to look like a fool.

He owes millions to Aguilar due to his gambling so to save his sorry life he betrayed his own kin.

Now it is not enough to satisfy Aguilar.

The man wants everything, and Damien is his partner.

He has betrayed not only me but the entire organization.

“The other leaders have the same proof as I do against him. He will be put to death. I cannot stop it, nor would I try. But my daughter and your President must be kept alive. My organization must be cleared of all wrongdoing, the rumors set to rest so that I can take control of both Miami and Chicago. Otherwise, the hold we have on America will cease to exist,” I explained.

“What part do we play? We want Prime out alive. His death isn’t an option, not even to spare you,” Ditch replied with sudden fierceness.

“My life cannot be forfeited. I do not have an heir as yet. I am needed to keep our mafia from falling apart. However, everything that can be done to save Prime will be done. Zoe would never forgive me otherwise. Prime still owes me a debt which I insist must be fulfilled. You can help with that if you follow my orders instead of trying to save him on your own,” I answered.

“Tell me the plan,” Ditch capitulated.

“Aguilar is holding the girls for the auction in the basements of three abandoned homes. I will provide three teams of men to join the Sinners in freeing them and getting them the medical help they will require. That must be done at the same time as the assault the other factions of the mafia here in the U.S. will make on Damien’s stronghold. ”

“Won’t he kill Prime and Zoe the moment you attack?” Ditch asked with horror at what he must have considered my stupidity.

“No. The attack will not come until after I am inside apparently capitulating to Damien’s demands.

I expect Aguilar himself to attend my surrender.

The entire plan depends upon drawing him out in the open.

Once that has occurred the stronghold will fall because it will already have been infiltrated by my men and those of the other leaders.

“One group will have gone in to rescue Prime and Zoe, but in order to keep Prime from attacking their saviors as the enemy I require two of your Sinners to be among the rescuers. Is that acceptable?” I questioned.

The silence was profound. I knew this man did not trust me. Why should he? However, he really did not have another choice. There were not enough Sinners to breach Damien’s stronghold, and if they tried the MC would be wiped out, including Prime and Zoe.

“I’ll give you Sweet, our enforcer, and Doc, our medic. Zoe and Prime may be hurt, so a medic may be necessary. I assume you’ll provide one for the girls we rescue. What about the piece of shit son? Can we kill him? It would be my privilege,” Ditch finally answered.

“I am truly sorry, but I have to say no. He is mine to execute. I have suffered too much damage at his hands, damage that will take years to resolve satisfactorily. Do not be concerned. We already know he is to be aboard a private jet heading for Sweden before Aguilar has a chance to kill him. That plane will blow up unexpectedly. There will be no survivors,” I swore.

“Good enough,” Ditch replied with satisfaction.
