42. Laszlo
My wife was crying on my cock, and I stroked her hair. She was so fucking beautiful, even when she cried. Her tears glittered on her cheeks, the flush on her face a glowing sunset.
“Our streams will always run together, Lyn. Nothing could keep me from you,” I murmured, and she hiccupped or gagged, I wasn’t certain. Fuck, I was making it sound like this was goodbye. No wonder.
I didn’t have any words to make it better. She knew what it meant, when she stayed at my side. When she helped me plan my vengeance. She knew almost as well as I did that the odds were not in our favour.
I was asking her to risk her own life for my selfish need for revenge.
For her to come into a Bratva party, save the kids, plant explosives, and get out.
My plan hinged on her.
I had always expected to do this part alone.
With her at my side, we would make it through.
I had absolute faith in her. It was ridiculous, but the return of her protection pendant convinced me that we were on the right path.
She made me a believer. My holy bliss.
I would find out what happened to my sister, kill everyone involved in her disappearance, and then I’d escape with Lyn. I had no intention of making this a suicide mission, but I wouldn’t be able to focus on my task if I was worrying about her life.
I moaned as she sucked harder, too hard, and air hissed between my teeth. She relented, looking up at me with wide, apologetic eyes.
I stroked her cheek, pressing her back into the sofa cushions. She spread her legs, wrapped them around me. Pulled me towards her. I was dressed in my button-down shirt and black slacks, but she was completely naked, vulnerable, exposed.
There was a frenetic energy in her. It bounced off her, radiating off the walls. I grabbed my cock and guided it to her entrance. My intentions to take her slow were interrupted by the pull of her calves.
She took me to her limits with a gasp, a shudder. I’d brought her so close to the edge, keeping her perched at the cusp of orgasm.
“Fuck me,” she said with lidded eyes. With an arm wrapped around her back, another holding me up on the armrest, I tilted my hips back, then slammed into her hard. A guttural sound escaped her lips, animalistic and raw.
Harder. Faster.
The two of us were trying to outrun our demons, our past, and now our future as well. Nothing existed outside this moment. I made her feel it, feel me. I battered her cervix, her head tilting at an awkward angle against the armrest.
She resisted me when I tried to readjust her, get her to a more comfortable position. Her nails dug into my back, her hips lifting to meet mine. Her throat was too enticing to resist, pristine, and I had a sudden urge to leave my mark on her.
My lips pressed against her peachy flesh with the carelessness of a much younger man. I kissed and sucked and bit her skin until I knew it would bruise, and then I went lower. My body arched as I caught her breast in my mouth, my teeth wrapping around her nipple.
She moaned, all wanton desire and need, and I increased the pressure, the tempo of my hips. Her skin was glossy with perspiration, giving her an ethereal glow in the silver moonlight. Almost a full moon. The realization spurred me on, legs tense as I fucked her, used her to chase away all thoughts.
“Look at you… You’re taking all of me. My perfect,” I thrust into her.
“Sweet,” another thrust.
“Obedient.” Thrust.
“Angel…” I rumbled.
“Yes,” she gulped, nails scratching down my back, leaving her own mark on my flesh.
She was coming, her limbs coiled tight around me. Her walls clenched around my shaft, and I stilled for a moment before I picked up the pace. Her body jerked and spasmed until we were thrown to the floor, landing with a hard thud, her petite form atop mine.
She didn’t delay. Pushing herself up into a sitting position, she began to ride me like a woman possessed. Her eyes were wild, wide open as her head rolled. I watched her perky tits bounce, transfixed by her perfect beauty.
Tears sparkled in her eyes, and only added to the vision.
I trailed my hand up her hips, memorizing the nubile flesh I’d explored every inch of, countless times before.
I found the little freckle on her upper thigh, tracing it with reverence.
My heart was racing, my cock stiff despite how much I was aching on the inside.
I had to give her this.
Something to remember me by, because there was no guarantee I could get out of this alive.
She needed to know how much I loved her, how I lusted for her every day since she first stared down on me as I planted a car bomb.
I wished countless times that I could forget my past.
Pretend it didn’t happen to me.
Pretend Lilien wasn’t real.
But I made my sister a promise, a boyish promise I had no right to offer, that I would protect her, and I failed utterly. I had no idea the monsters that could warp me, turn me inside out.
“Laszlo,” Lyn panted, her skin glistening with perspiration. I brought my thumb to her clit, letting it glide along her sensitive cluster of nerves as she crashed down on me again and again. I held my orgasm at bay, but fire was igniting in my core, and I sucked in air.
“Come for me, angel. Come on me. Let me feel you gush.”
She quivered with her obedience, grinding on me the way she liked, and I pressed into her. The fire travelled up my shaft, and as she clenched around me, I buckled forward, both of us ascending into bliss together.
I found her breast with my mouth, tongue swirling around her pebbled nipple, keeping her shrouded in orgasm for as long as I could.
She was mewling in protest, but I tortured her, licking between her tits, making her quiver as she remained on my cock, not letting me slip out after I’d begun to soften.
Her hands glided through my dark hair, holding my head between her gorgeous breasts, and I kissed against her heartbeat.
“I love you, Laszlo. I can’t live without you.”
“You can, Lyn. If you had to.” My hands roamed up her spine, over her shoulder blades. “You are an amazing, talented, capable woman. You have friends, and every right to be confident in yourself.”
She sobbed, this one dry and hoarse, and I kissed her lips.
“Death can’t keep me from you, Lyn. I will always be looking out for you.”
Did I believe that? Not in the metaphysical sense, no. I could only fucking pray that the afterlife didn’t exist. But I did have everything set up for her. She would always be taken care of, even if my plan went ass up.
I lifted her up, her legs going around my waist, her chin resting on my shoulder. She was exhausted. I had to bring her to the bath, soothe her muscles and mind, then get her to bed.
My heart raced as I caught sight of the red light flashing on her office camera above the door.
Someone had been watching us.
Someone had hacked me?
I brought Lyn into the bedroom, trying not to let my frayed nerves show, but she called me out instantly.
“You had something else to tell me, don’t you? Aleksei and Ilya have been even more attentive lately,” Lyn said.
I stared down at my wife, laying in our canopy bed in my black hoodie. Her black hoodie. The last thing I wanted to bring into our bedroom was his name, but I couldn’t lie to her when she asked me flat out.
“Jimmy is back in town. I’m trying to track him.”
I thought she’d be terrified to hear that, but instead she laughed and clapped her hand over her mouth.
“Lyn?”
“No, sorry. It’s funny, though. Caleb, the Pakhan, now Jimmy. It’s almost like… sure, why not. Pile all the trauma on,” she said, shaking with giggles.
“Someone was spying on us in your office,” I added, my voice more serious, but it spurred her stress-induced laughing fit on. Soon I was joining her, and the anxiety in her shoulders soothed away.
“I’ll join you soon. I can’t rest until I know for certain who was watching us.”
“Okay, Laszlo. Don’t be too long. I don’t sleep well without you.”
I fell in love with her all over again, tucking her in and kissing her forehead. She was already falling asleep, exhausted from the orgasms and the inappropriate laughter, and I was grateful for that. I slipped out the door, my heart still pounding.
I put in a call to the guards, told them to search the perimeter.
All four of them had rooms in the downstairs of the condo so they’d be close at hand, and for once I was grateful for it.
I probed for the video that was taken in Lyn’s office, but the access logs were already cleaned.
Whoever accessed them had been nearby to get into my air-gap security system.
The guards came back with the all clear. No strange vehicles. The external security cams showed nothing unusual.
There was one man in this city good enough to hack my own fucking system.
And if it wasn’t Scorpion, then it was someone worse. Had the Pakhan been tipped off? Did I reveal my hand to Urvan somehow?
Lyn and I had discussed the plan. I had no idea how long they’d been watching—seeing my wife’s naked body!
—or what he could make out. There was no audio in Lyn’s home office, but there were algorithms that could guess what people were saying based on lip movements.
I hoped I’d said everything important into her pussy.
My heart was still pounding as I opened an encrypted call, my office door closed so I wouldn’t worry Lyn.
The phone rang.
I’d promised him dividends once my mission was complete. Once I pulled the rug on my little pyramid scheme, I couldn’t risk touching any of the money after I was dead.
Most would go to children’s charities, places where the Bratva couldn’t cause too much fuss over. Then again, I hoped this branch of the organization would be so thoroughly obliterated that they’d be picking up the pieces for decades.
Same as the cult Lyn ran away from.
I promised I wouldn’t kill Caleb or Henry, but I wouldn’t let them keep their compound either. Their financials were harder to track down, much of it held in cash and gold. Still, there were other bureaucratic means to chip away at a cult’s security, and I pushed every button I could.
Zach and Clara would get the condo, their trust funds already secure.
The rest of the money was going to Scorpion, provided he didn’t fuck me. I needed him for what I had to do. I couldn’t trust him, but I trusted the blackmail material I had on him.
Until I saw the light on that fucking camera.
Scorpion finally answered. “What, Python?”
“How’s it looking?”
“Activity all day, as you said. The tech guys were there earlier. I couldn’t get on the team. These guys were all Russian.”
“What I expected. You didn’t push it?”
“I’m not a fucking idiot,” he snapped, and I had to wonder if that was true.
“I know. I’m covering my ass as well as yours.” There was an unusual static, and the hair on the back of my neck stood on end. Someone else was on the call. “Any word on Jimmy’s whereabouts?”
“Nope, nothin’,” Scorpion said too quickly, his nerves coiled tight. I spent a fortune to buy the man’s loyalty, but that meant nothing if there was a gun to his temple.
I’d hoped we could get out of this before Jimmy made his move. He wouldn’t be able to get in to the party. Urvan knew he was a crooked cop; security would be watching for him.
Still, I didn’t like it.
My plan was already on a razor thin edge. Jimmy was a complication.
“Good. Maybe he left again.”
“Probably.” Scorpion couldn’t control the pitch of his voice, the edge of fear.
Jimmy had gotten to him. How the fuck could an idiot like him find out my most secure connection?
I’d been blackmailing Scorpion with some legal troubles he had in the past, hacking into massive conglomerates.
I’d covered all traces, but maybe the feds had something on him that I didn’t know about.
“Make sure the decryption software is ready. I’m counting on you.”
There was a pause, which was unusual. Scorpion was usually so tweaked he would talk before I finished.
“Watch out for our nest egg.”
The line went dead.
Something sour stung the back of my throat.
Scorpion was clever to get that message to me. His wording was careful. Intentional.
Our.
Nest.
Egg.
I looked down at my wedding band, the snake protectively coiled around the stone that served as its egg.
Jimmy was going to make a move on Lyn.
