SUMMER TAYLOR-BRADDON’S SICK MURDER PLAN

By Adelaide James

I t’s the stuff of nightmares and horror films. A woman, heavily pregnant, is killed and her unborn baby is cut from her womb. The person doing this unspeakable act? A scorned woman, a childless mother, a psychopath. Or, in this case: a bestselling writer.

So, we all know the story with Summer Taylor-Braddon. How she persuaded her husband to hide away for years so they could pretend he was missing. But how, when he eventually resurfaced, Taylor-Braddon found he’d gone off-script. He’d only gone and got himself a girlfriend and become a father.

It’s only understandable, that Ruari Braddon would do that. For the years when he and Taylor-Braddon were together, she’d locked him into a sexless relationship. And men have needs!

Now, Ms. Taylor-Braddon found herself with a script that other people were writing. She had to make her characters do what she wanted again—and I guess she wanted the baby.

Ms. Taylor-Braddon’s plan didn’t quite work however. Because while she murdered Mia Wilson—her husband’s new woman and the true love of his life—the unborn baby also died.

What I find shocking though is how Ms. Taylor-Braddon hasn’t been arrested on two counts of murder.

She’s still out there, and shouldn’t that scare everyone?

A shley Kincade : The woman who killed Mia—she was detained. Caught. She’s serving life now.

Summer Taylor-Braddon : But it’s not over for me. It’s never over.

I blink, and I see her dying in front of me.

Ruari’s lost, again. He’s...

He doesn’t want to see us again. He moved somewhere else. But I don’t know where.

He did speak to me once, though, on the phone. We were finalizing our divorce. [ She gulps ] He thanked me for trying to save her.

As if I’d do anything other than try to save her.

I’m not the monster people think I am.

Ashley Kincade : They only think that because of Julia. No one close to you actually believes that.

Dante Fiore : What happened with Julia, Summer?

Summer Taylor-Braddon : It was her. She was the ‘source close to me’. All that time. She was the one giving so much information about me to the press. She was...

Ashley Kincade : She said these people offered her a lot of money.

Summer Taylor-Braddon : She sold me out. My so-called best friend. I mean, she’s tried to apologize since. But there’s no way back from that.
