My eyes stayed on the blonde woman standing down the street, even as she turned to go into the cafe behind her.

Caroline Foster was back in town. Something primal rushed through me to stomp down there and yank her into my vehicle. Take her to my house and demand to know why she’d left me.

“I’m good,” I answered, stiffly. I slid my hands into my pockets as we watched Trevor and Monica climb into their vehicle. They were leaving immediately for a short honeymoon. The two girls were staying at Lucas and Becks’.

I found my eyes sliding back towards the cafe.
