Chapter 24 Sud #2

Hooking my elbow under Noi’s left leg, I lift it so his knee will be visible in the shot, as discussed with P’Tee earlier.

Then I look down like I’m positioning myself and thrust forward.

Noi winces, and a little breathless “a-ah!” falls from his lips that sends an unexpected jolt of desire through me.

Keeping up the thrusting motions, I watch Noi’s face, unable to help thinking about doing this for real while I struggle to stay in character.

Does it really matter? I’m sure I’m feeling many of the same things my character would be in this moment.

“Cut!” P’Tee calls, then repositions us for another take. And then another. And another, the cameras circling us, so close we could reach out and touch them. My erection blooms and wanes several times over the course of the next two hours. If anyone notices, no one reacts.

Finally, we take a half-hour break in the adjoining room. Sitting on a couch, water bottles in hand, we drink and talk about the experience.

“Are they going to film your naked ass?” Noi asks me.

“They might. P’Tee talked to me about it earlier this morning.” The scene we just filmed eventually cuts to later the same night when Sound fucks Train up against the wall with the camera slowly panning his body. The rating has been up to NC-18.

“You don’t mind?” Noi asks, eyes wide.

I shrug. “Not really. It’s not like I have anything to be ashamed of.” I wink at him, and he rolls his eyes at me.

He drains his water bottle and chucks it into the trash can. “I…noticed you had a reaction to the scene this time.”

“I wasn’t as nervous as I was the last time.”

“It happened to me then,” Noi says, not looking at me.

“It did?” I’m pretty sure it would have blown my mind if I’d noticed Noi had a hard-on when we filmed that scene.

“Are you, uh, nervous about doing it for real?” Noi asks.

Grasping his chin in my hand and gently turning his head to look at me, I say, “I can’t wait for us to do that together.

But it has to be when we’re ready.” Leaning in, I look into his eyes a moment, letting him know I’m serious, before kissing him.

Caressing his lips with mine, nibbling on them, then running my tongue along the seam.

He opens for me, and our tongues collide.

Fuck, he tastes so good, smells so good, feels so good—

A knock on the door, followed by P’Tee’s assistant calling that we have five minutes, separates us. We stand, and I take Noi’s hand and press it to the bulge beneath my robe.

“Do you feel what you do to me?” I ask quietly, looking into his eyes. “This is all Sud and Noi, not Sound and Train.”

Gaze locked with mine, Noi nods slowly. “So much for walking out of here without a hard on,” he says, mouth curling upward.

I’m a little shocked at the direction my mind wanders. I’ve never considered sucking a guy’s cock. But this is Noi, and the idea is surprisingly tempting. It’s too soon for that, and this isn’t the place, but someday.

***

It’s late by the time we finish filming, and Noi wants to go back to his apartment since he doesn’t have any clean clothes at mine.

I would rather he stay with me so I could lie beside him all night, but I drive him there, and he pecks me on the cheek before he gets out of the car.

It seems I’m not the only one feeling a little shy after kissing and groping each other for hours in front of the cameras.

Back in my apartment, I’m getting ready for bed when I get a group text from Trim, Khun Intapong’s personal assistant, to the actors in the series.

Khun Intapong wants everyone to be in front of the company building by 7:30 a.m. Tuesday morning. We’ll be leaving for Kaeng Krachan National Park at 8 sharp. Bring appropriate attire for camping and hiking.

A cold chill runs through me.

“We’re filming the location scenes at Kaeng Krachan National Park?” I say aloud. How had I not heard about this earlier?

Despite the fact that it’s after midnight, I call my father.

“Sud? Is something wrong?” Pah asks, sounding groggy.

“I’m sorry to wake you, Pah, I know it’s late.”

“Has something happened to you or Mee Noi?” I hear rustling on his end like he’s moving around in bed. “Sud?”

“We’re fine, Pah. I’m sorry. I just found out we’ll be filming in Kaeng Krachan National Park next week.”

Pah doesn’t speak for a moment, obviously absorbing the news. Finally, he says, “That’s unfortunate, but it makes sense. It’s the closest national park to Bangkok and has a variety of wilderness settings to choose from. I’ve filmed there many times.”

Panic climbs my spine. “But, what about Noi? He hasn’t been there since—“

“Calm down, Son, all right? We don’t know this will be a problem for Mee Noi.”

“We don’t know it won’t be.“ Standing, I begin to pace my room as I talk, trying to keep my voice down so as not to wake Tao and Ford. “Pah, what if something triggers a memory?”

Pah sighs. “I hate to say this, but maybe it will be for the best. We’ve lived with this cloud hanging over us for too long.”

“But…if he falls apart?”

“Maybe you should give your producer and director a heads up. But remember, it’s just a possibility. Mee Noi was a kid then. We can’t know how he’ll react if his memories of the incident come back. Let me think about this, okay? I’ll consult with your mother tomorrow and get back to you.”

“Pah, Noi mentioned not too long ago that he’s been having the nightmares about running in the woods searching for me.” I was careful not to react when he told me, but it has been bothering me ever since.

Pah is silent for a moment before asking, “Are they as bad as they used to be?”

Noi’s cries used to wake me in the night when we were kids. The only way to soothe him was for me to let him crawl into bed with me. He didn’t want me to stay with him in his room because he was afraid that he’d wake up and I’d be gone.

“I don’t think so, and I don’t think very often, or I would have heard about it from his roommates, I think.”

Pah sighs. “I’ll get back to you. In the meantime, you talk to your producer about it.”

“I will.”

I understand what Pah is saying about it maybe being for the best, but I don’t want Noi to be humiliated by breaking down in front of the cast and crew. It’s fortunate that only a handful of them will be on location with us.

I decide to ask to meet Khun Intapong and P’Tee on Monday.
