Chapter 15

Chapter Fifteen

Brody

The next day, I spotted Finn on the ice before anyone else on the team.

Spending a relaxing day with him yesterday was wonderful.

It was everything I wanted and needed. And now, I was enjoying the sight of him gliding across the ice as if he were floating on clouds.

He made everything about skating and hockey look so graceful and easy.

Sighing, I couldn’t help but sit down for a moment in the stands and admire him.

A few of the other players were making their way onto the ice, pieces of chipped ice flying behind them. Music blared from the speakers as the coaching staff stood behind the bench, holding clipboards and talking.

This was one of my favorite things about working for a hockey team.

Sure, games were exciting and full of cheering fans and excitement, but there was also something magical about practice.

During practice, the guys were focused, yet calm.

They still worked hard, but their energy was unmatched and the smiles and laughter that echoed throughout the rink was contagious.

It felt more like watching a group of friends playing for fun, rather than professional athletes who trained for their careers.

I had a mountain of paperwork waiting for me on my desk, but the next few minutes, I was going to forget about all of that and just enjoy this moment.

The guys started practicing, and I got lost in my own head. I thought about what life would be like if I could cheer for Finn and not worry about what others around me thought. I wanted to run to him after a winning game and jump into his arms, kissing him passionately. It was nice to dream.

Suddenly, a blur of motion caught my eye, and I had to shake myself out of the fantasy world I had been living in.

Heading my way was Finn, a wide grin on his face.

He stopped by the boards, motioning for me to come down to the bottom of the stands.

Slowly, I stood, my eyes glancing around to ensure no one was watching us.

Thankfully, the rest of the guys were talking or heading for the locker room. This must be their break.

“Hey,” I said, as I stopped in front of Finn.

He towered over me as he stood even taller on his skates, his pads making his chest seem even larger.

Damn, I wanted to climb this man like a tree.

“Like what you see out there?” Finn whispered.

My heart raced as I smiled. I needed to control my emotions right now. We were still in public and anyone could look over and get a sight of us flirting.

“Your form is great,” I noted, licking my lips.

Fuck, why couldn’t I control myself? I would need a very cold shower after this.

Finn chuckled, removing his helmet so I could get a better view of his beautiful face. He held the helmet then placed one hand on the railing of the wall separating us. “Do you?” he smirked. “I’d love for you to critique other forms I can show you.”

My face felt hot as I glanced away from him for a moment. My dick sprang to life and I prayed for it to go down.

“You are being very reckless,” I taunted.

“No one is watching us right now,” Finn argued.

I shook my head. “But if someone were to look...”

“Then I will tell them that I’m talking to the trainer,” Finn told me.

Shit, I’m just not Finn’s trainer, but everyone’s trainer. I needed to get back to work. It killed me to step away, but I had to.

“I need to get to work, but I enjoyed watching you practice,” I said.

“Can I see you soon?” Finn asked.

I could hear the hunger in his words. I felt the same animalistic lust toward him, and it was hard for both of us to contain our needs.

I nodded my head, yes, and then turned and walked away.
