13. Creed

Chapter 13

Creed

“ T hanks for meeting with me.” I shook hands with Aiden before taking a seat in the booth. We were meeting at the coffee shop not too far from my warehouse. Aiden was a detective in the police precinct in this part of West Pier.

“No problem. Dylan said it was something important you wanted to talk about.” He slid into the booth across from me. “According to him you have questions about an accident involving your brother?”

He pulled the bag off his shoulder and set it next to him.

“Yeah, my parents are hiding something and knowing them it was to protect my brother. I was hoping you would be able to get the police report so I could look.”

Aiden pulled a file out the flapped bag and slid it across the table. “On the record it looks like your brother swerved to avoid an animal. The roads were wet that night, which would have caused him to slide into a ditch.”

“Unofficially?” I asked, grabbing the file and opening it. I scanned the papers inside.

Aiden leaned forward, resting his forearms on the table. His eyes bounced around the area and his voice lowered. “Apparently, there was a female companion in the car and the two were in an intimate, compromising position that caused your brother to lose focus. He swerved into the other lane and almost hit another car before swerving back into his right lane and that caused him to go into the ditch. He wasn’t wearing a seat belt and that was the main cause of his injuries. He also had been drinking and was over the legal limit, not by a lot, but enough.”

As Aiden talked, I continued searching through the papers. My brows furrowed as I read the blood alcohol level of my brother that night. I was also curious about who the girl in the car was.

“What happened to the girl?”

“Shockingly she just ended up with a few bumps and bruises.”

Lifting my eyes to meet Aiden’s, I flattened my lips, squinting. “And the other driver?”

Aiden shrugged. “He was fine, his statement was taken but ruled inconclusive.”

Wetting my lips, I dropped my attention back to the folder. It didn’t shock me that my parents went to great lengths to make sure my brother was protected after hearing the facts of the accident. Since Rome was due to take over the company, there was no way my dad would allow any negative press to come out about him. I knew there was more to the story, but I wasn’t expecting all this.

____

When I stepped into Rome’s hospital room, both of my parents were present. Dad sat on the couch near the window on his laptop, his glasses low on his nose as he worked, and Mom next to the bed, scrolling through her phone. Right after meeting with Aiden, I made a detour to the hospital.

“I’m glad you both are here,” I said, causing both of their heads to lift and their eyes to fall on me.

Dad spoke. “Son.”

“I wasn’t expecting you again so soon,” Mom commented. Shrugging, I moved deeper into the room until I was at the foot of the bed.

“I need to speak to the two of you.” My eyes bounced between them. The two made eye contact before giving me their attention again.

“What is it?” Dad asked, going back to working on his laptop.

“I know what really happened the night of Rome’s accident.”

Dad’s hands stopped moving and his head lifted. Slowly, he closed his laptop and stared at me with intensity.

“We don’t know what you’re talking about,” Mom objected.

Twisting my neck to face her, I blinked blankly at her, studying her body language at the same time. “I know about the girl and the drinking.”

“Why must you dig your nose into things you have no business knowing?” Dad asked.

“It was clear the two of you were hiding something. His fiancée is worried sick about him and the two of you refuse to tell her anything.”

“For good reason,” Mom defended. “That girl isn’t strong enough for Rome and the life we live. She’s weak minded so there was no need to tell her the truth. Plus, your brother made a mistake. We fixed it, there’s nothing wrong with that.”

“What we do for your brother has nothing to do with you anyway.”

“Nakyra told me you two have been pushing for Rome to take over. I know that’s not for no reason. You covered this up for a reason bigger than just image, what is it?” I stepped back and crossed my arms over my chest, waiting for one of them to answer. My parents were alike in more ways than one. They were calculated and conniving. They would do anything to stay on top. Dad was ruthless in business and always found a way to make deals happen when he needed to.

“Your father is?—”

“Marisol,” Dad interjected, cutting a slicing look in her direction.

“He’s going to find out anyway, Deacon. Maybe it’s time for you to bring up that thing you were talking about.”

Now they had me curious. “Dad’s what? What’s going on? What else are you two hiding?” Wetting my lips, I bounced my eyes between the two of them and flattened my lips.

“I’ve been meaning to call and ask you to stop by, but I’ve been busy.”

I grunted out a laugh. “Before I arrived in town, it had been over six months since we spoke. Why do you suddenly need to talk to me?”

“I’m sick,” Dad admitted.

“Sick?” I raised a brow. He said it as if mentioning the weather, like it was no big deal.

“They found a mass on my lung and I have to start treatment soon.”

“Cancerous?”

“They believe so. I have to get further testing done.”

I slid my eyes to Mom; she looked in distress for the first time since I arrived. “And that’s why you’ve been pushing for Rome to take over sooner? What do I have to do with this?”

Dad straightened. “Once I start my treatment I’ll have to step down as CEO. My plan was to do it sooner than later, but with your brother unable to take over, I’ve been putting off treatment until I have someone capable enough to take over.”

I waited to feel something about hearing that my dad was sick, but I felt nothing. Growing up he was in the same position as my mom. He might have helped create me but he didn’t raise me or show any paternal love toward me.

“And what does this have to do with me?”

Mom scoffed. “Seriously, Creed? Do you have to sound so insensitive?” She gave me a displeased look.

Ignoring her, I stayed focused on my dad.

“If Rome doesn’t wake up soon, then you’ll have to step up and take over until he does.”

My head cocked to the side. “And why would I do that? Don’t you have a VP for this?”

“If you think I would hand my company down to someone who doesn’t share my blood then you’re out of your mind. My father built this company to what it is today and I will not disgrace his legacy by putting a non-Thornton in charge.”

My eyes went to Rome. Nothing seemed to have changed since I visited him a week ago.

“I have my own business to run.”

“Oh please, that little shipping company might be doing okay, but this is your family we’re talking about, a multimillion-dollar company. In the next three years it’ll be a billion-dollar company. That’s not something to be handed over to just anyone.”

My jaw ticked as I bit the inside of it. Dad always had a habit of downplaying my business. When I distanced myself from my family, I left with a couple thousand dollars. I also had a trust fund I got at twenty-five that I hadn’t touched. Once I took over Steel Freight, I worked my ass off to make myself the self-made millionaire I was today. We might not bring in the type of money Global Track Finances did, but I was far from broke or a “little company”.

Pushing my sleeves up, I widened my stance. “Too bad for you my little company needs all my attention with all the business we’re bringing in, so you’ll have to find someone else to take over.”

“Creed!” Mom exclaimed.

“Don’t, Marisol. If the boy thinks he’s too good to help his family, then so be it. I won’t beg anyone for anything.”

“I just came to check on my brother. Anything else you have going on, leave me out of it.” I shook my head, giving my brother one last look before preparing to leave.

A shushed argument broke out behind me, but I didn’t turn around to engage anymore.

My phone vibrated on my walk down the hall to the main doors. I saw it was Dee asking to meet, which caused one corner of my mouth to hike up. After meeting with my parents I could use a stress relief. I went to respond when strong perfume brushed past me, causing my head to pop up. I noticed a medium toned, brown-skinned woman heading toward my brother’s room. She was texting on her phone, her heels tapped against the tiled floor, and she was dressed like she came from money. This floor was meant for privacy, so if she was allowed in, she had to know someone admitted to even be allowed access. She didn’t look like a nurse so that led me to believe she may be the woman in question who had been in the car with Rome the night of his accident.

My mind went to Nakyra. I knew she more than likely had no idea about my brother and this other woman. My parents would never admit to Rome being wrong and would defend any action he did. I knew if she learned about all this she would be crushed and that wasn’t something I could bring myself to do. I had grown to care about her and the last thing I wanted was to cause her any distress. Still, I felt she had the right to know if she was to take our last name.

I got to the doors and hit the button for them to open. Conflict filled me as I thought about what my next move should be. While this kind of behavior wasn’t anything new for me, I was sure Nakyra wasn’t expecting the lies she would be inheriting when she became a part of this family.

____

“I wasn’t sure you would agree to meet up,” Dee said while moving in. I moved my head when she attempted to connect her mouth with mine and gave her a knowing look. An innocent expression covered her face and she straddled my lap, causing my hands to go to her ass cheeks.

“I told you I been busy but as soon as I had time I would get with you.” I moved in and kissed her neck while kneading her ass cheeks. She moaned softly and rolled her hips into my front.

Moving one hand from her ass, I aimlessly patted on the bed until I located the chrome cuffs. Grabbing them, I seized one of her hands and locked the cuff around it. My teeth sank into her neck and I sucked it roughly.

“Color?” I asked, licking the wound.

“Green,” she moaned while I locked the other cuff around her other wrist. Pulling up I moved her off me and made sure to position her on her stomach. She was naked and put up a perfect arch, pointing her full ass in the air.

My tongue swiped across my lips as I lifted my hand and sent it across her ass cheeks, causing them to flutter.

I had already removed my suit jacket in the car and was now slowly unbuttoning my under shirt. “Where’s your stuff?” I asked, looking around the room. A girl like Dee, I knew she had to have a play chest.

“Look in the chaise right in front of the window.” She twisted her neck to face me.

I smirked and walked over to the light pink chaise. Leaning over, I opened the chaise and amazement hit me seeing the wide array of toys she had. I searched through them until I located the paddle. It was simple but still impactful. Before we got started, Dee mentioned how she wanted to get lost in her head and wanted impact play tonight. I didn’t mind giving the lady what she needed.

Closing the chaise I removed my shirt and folded it on top then did the same with my slacks, keeping my briefs on.

When I got back to the bed I went to the nightstand and grabbed the silk blindfold.

“You good?”

She nodded, watching me with anticipation. “I’m green.”

I grinned. “Good.”

Getting on the bed, I tied the blindfold around her eyes and moved behind her. With the paddle now in hand, I rubbed it over her ass cheeks.

“You had a rough day?” I asked.

“Yes.”

I lifted the paddle and sent it down on her ass cheeks, causing her body to jerk. “Yes, what?”

“Yes, Sir.”

“Tell me what happened?”

I sent two hits on the same cheek quickly.

“I-I, uh, had a difficult client. She keeps changing her venue and making my jo-ah-b.” She moaned when I hit her again.

She continued telling me the story and I continued the paddling, switching which cheek I hit, the speed at which I hit, and how many I did.

“You do like being paddled; you’re soaked,” I complimented, running my hand over her swollen, drenched lips. She gasped and released a soft moan. With my other hand I caressed her cheeks, loving how red and welted they looked.

“Color?”

“Green!”

I pushed a finger inside of her and curled it forward. She clenched around it and bucked her hips. I slapped her ass. “Did I tell you to do that?”

“Sorry, Sir,” she whined. I fucked her slowly with my finger, teasing her clit every so often. I wasn’t in the mood to drag this out, but I didn’t want to leave Dee unsatisfied either, inserting another finger. I loved how tight her walls were and how they locked around my digits.

“Your pussy is pulsing; you want to cum?” I asked, getting up on my knees behind her. My dick was hard and leaking behind my briefs. Her pussy was begging for me to fill it.

“Yes, please, Sir,” she cried when I slapped her cheeks again, this time with my hands. I moved my fingers in and out of her before spreading them. Her tunnel became wetter. A rush passed through me the more I teased her. Her moans and whimpering grew more intense and needy.

My eyes closed as my teeth sank into my bottom lip and my head fell back. As the sounds of our bodies slapping together filled my ears, a sudden vision played in my head. Out of nowhere Nakyra’s face appeared and I saw her mouth gaped open and body trembling as she came. My heart slammed faster against my chest. My blood hummed and raced through my veins and my dick grew harder picturing the sultry look on her face. My eyes snapped open and I moved my fingers faster.

“Go ahead, wet my hand up,” I growled, moving my hand faster inside her. I curled my fingers forward then pushed them deeper. Her body trembled and she pushed back into my hand. I licked my lips as her juices soaked it.

“That’s what I like to see.” Pulling my fingers out of her, I reached up. “Open your mouth.” She did what I asked and I pushed my fingers inside. “Clean them up.” Her tongue swiped between my fingers before she sucked them like a pro, leaving none of her juices behind.

“Mhm,” she moaned.

“Good, good.” I lifted and slapped the side of her ass.

“Color?”

“Green.”

Reaching over I grabbed the condom and brought it to my mouth, ripping it open. Pushing my briefs down, I pinched the tip of the condom and sheathed myself, making sure it was secure before moving back behind her.

Holding one of her sides I positioned my dick at her entrance. “You ready?”

Before she could answer, I pushed inside her. “Oh fuck!” she cried. I moved in and out of her, loving how her fat ass bounced off my pelvis.

Sweat glistened on her back. When she went to dig her face into the bed, I reached up and grabbed her head, yanking it back. “Don’t you dare hide from me.”

“So sorry!” she whined, throwing her ass back. Her walls clenched around me and I shifted until I found that spot, causing her to grow wetter.

Leaning forward, I wrapped my arms around her and grabbed her breasts, pinching her nipples then twisting them. My hips pumped faster. I cuffed her breasts, loving how they filled my hands.

Her moans grew louder, and each time I changed the tempo of my strokes, she matched it. Dee was a perfect match in the bedroom. She was down for whatever her partner wanted and wasn’t one to just lay down and take it.

Pulling out of her, I flipped her so she was on her back, her hands still locked behind her. I grabbed her by the thighs and lifted them, placing her legs on my shoulders. Pushing back into her, I leaned forward so I could go deeper and swung my hips.

I knew this wouldn’t be the only time I met up with her and I was already looking forward to the next time. My only issue was why I’d pictured Nakyra halfway through and what the hell that meant.
