Chapter 4 Catching the Cheat

What a coincidence—Shen Chuxue was working at this nightclub.

Even more coincidentally, Xie Siyan, who said he was here for business, was also here.

My best friend leaned close to my ear. "Shen Chuxue was the poor student the Xie family sponsored before. Rumor is she had a crush on him."

Of course I knew. Back in high school, seeing them together made my teeth itch with jealousy.

Why did he ignore me—fair-skinned, beautiful, curvy, slim-waisted, long-legged, and loaded—yet speak so gently to such an ordinary little white flower?

So after graduation, I gave Shen Chuxue a sum of money and made her leave the country.

I didn't threaten or force her—she agreed herself. After all, it was five million!

Only an idiot would turn down money.

But she came back so soon?

My friend laughed. "She went to America, not Germany. She returned last year."

Fair enough.

"The day Xie Siyan agreed to marry you, I saw him meeting Shen Chuxue."

Hm?

So he only agreed to me out of spite after being dumped? Was I just part of their little game?

Wow!

I was about to explode.

The moment Shen Chuxue poured wine for Xie Siyan and he looked up at her—

I strode over in my heels and sat right on his lap. With a tone that looked intimate but was pure threat, I asked, "Do you like her?"

Xie Siyan's eyes flickered, but he said nothing.

I took his silence as guilt.

I pinched his waist. "Pretending? If you like her so much, why make your little mistress pour your drinks? Keep her outside—much better."

I was so annoyed. Wasn't I good enough to him? How dare he cheat!

After the rage, reason returned.

I leaned close to his mouth and glanced smugly at Shen Chuxue. "Xie Siyan, don't forget who your wife is now."

He gritted his teeth. "I know."

Shen Chuxue stood there, unsure whether to advance or retreat.

She looked at Xie Siyan with aggrieved eyes.

Truly a little white flower—so pitiful and delicate.

"You still know! From now on, I forbid you to meet her alone!"

I sat astride his lap, righteous and furious.

"Get down."

Xie Siyan spoke coldly.

I refused.

I slapped his face and gripped his chin. "Who gave you permission to talk to me like that?"

"Or are you feeling sorry for her?"

"I sit on your lap for just a moment and you're already afraid she'll get jealous? What if she knew how you serve me in bed…"

"Shen Tingwan, what madness are you throwing now!"

He cut me off, eyes red.

The hand on my waist tightened gradually—he was on the verge of losing control.

I hated how he protected someone else.

But who made me like him?

I wasn't one to back down. I immediately dragged him to a private room and stood with hands on hips.

"Xie Siyan, don't take my face and throw it away.

"We're married. Until I get tired of you, you are not allowed to sneak around with her!"

His throat bobbed. "I'm not that kind of person."

"You'd better not be!

"Now take off your clothes. I want to check."

Xie Siyan's face flushed instantly. He stared at me. "You…"

"You what! You won't let me look, won't let me touch, won't let me use—so what's the point? We're legal. Stop acting like some chaste martyr."

He reluctantly started unbuttoning.

Looking as if I were the tyrant about to force him.

I glanced sideways. "If you don't want to, just leave."

He immediately buttoned up again.

***

I yanked his tie, exasperated. "Xie Siyan, are you made of wood? When a girl says no, she means yes! Saying leave means hug me and kiss me hard!"
