Chapter 5 Resort Pool Showdown

Stupid!

But after that day, I really never saw Shen Chuxue again.

And Xie Siyuan actually started reporting his whereabouts to me every single day.

That day, I went to the newly opened resort with my pack of troublemaking friends.

I wasn’t wearing contacts, so from far away I saw someone at the swimming pool splash a glass of wine on the person across from them.

The guy squatted down to pick something up.

His back looked a little like Xie Siyuan’s.

I opened my phone and zoomed in on Xie Siyuan’s check-in photo.

Not here.

Good. False alarm.

But the relief had barely settled when my best friend’s sharp eyes pulled it right back up.

“Holy shit! Shen Tingwan, your Pretty Husband is getting picked on!”

Huh?

By the time I ran over, the leader was lifting his foot to stomp on Xie Siyuan’s hand.

I swung my hand back and slapped him hard. “You fucking tired of living? You dare touch my man?”

The guy was stunned.

When he came back to his senses, I finally remembered him—Zhou Hao. Back in school he already couldn’t stand Xie Siyuan.

Now that his family went bankrupt, he finally found a chance to bully him.

Zhou Hao pushed his tongue against the roof of his mouth and sneered. “Isn’t he just a pretty boy who lives off a woman?”

“Shen Tingwan, are you blind? I confessed to you so many times and you rejected me, yet you chase after someone who doesn’t even like you. Pathetic much?”

I slapped him again. “So what? I wouldn’t even want you as my pretty boy.

So what the hell are you barking about?”

I grabbed his collar and yanked him in front of Xie Siyuan. “Apologize to him.”

Zhou Hao exploded. “Apologize to your fucking mom!

Shen Tingwan, what makes you so arrogant? You just got lucky with your family, right?”

“Yeah, I got lucky. The worst thing I’ve ever suffered is an iced Americano. If you’re so jealous, go find yourself a billionaire dad!

What are you glaring at? Keep glaring and I’ll dig your eyeballs out and give them to my husband as toys!”

Zhou Hao was dumbfounded.

Xie Siyuan slowly stood up and looked at me.

Emotions churned in his eyes. I couldn’t tell what he was thinking.

I let go of the jerk’s clothes and spoke word by word. “A-po-lo-gize!

Or your family can forget about that land in the south of the city.”

When family was involved, Zhou Hao finally lowered his head unwillingly. “Sorry, Xie Siyuan.”

I picked up a wine glass, placed it in Xie Siyuan’s hand, and had him splash it right on Zhou Hao.

“You fucking—Shen Tingwan!” Zhou Hao roared uselessly.

I stared at him coldly. “Get lost!

Next time, I’ll make sure you die first.”

Zhou Hao and his group slunk away in disgrace.

I pulled tissues from my bag, stood on tiptoe, and wiped Xie Siyuan’s face.

“Are you an idiot? They bullied you right to your face and you didn’t even fight back!”

He gave a bitter smile. “What capital do I have right now?”

“I’m your biggest capital!”

I cupped his face and made him look straight at me. “The whole world can only bully you if it’s me, Shen Tingwan! No one else is allowed!

Xie Siyuan, right now your strongest backer is me! So when you go out, keep your back straight for me!”

He stared at me steadily, then sighed and awkwardly took my hand. “Does your hand hurt?”

I immediately played it up. “It hurts! It hurts so bad! Only my husband blowing on it will make it better~”

My best friends watching from the side: “Disperse, disperse. Hopeless love brain right here.”

Xie Siyuan’s body stiffened, but he still lowered his head and gently blew on my hand.

When he bowed his head, I thought I saw crystal drops on his lashes. His lips trembled slightly.

“Thank you.”

I was done for.

He was such a seducer. Seeing him look so pitiful made me want to ruin him.

So I planted a loud kiss on his mouth. “Remember—you’re mine. You only bow to me.”

Xie Siyuan’s throat bobbed. His eyes flicked to me for a second before looking away.

This damn habit. We’ve been married so long already.

One kiss and he still blushes.
