14. Chapter 14
Daphne
She groaned as she rolled over, her eyes struggling to focus on the room around her. She was on the floor somewhere. Her hands appeared to be tied together and she couldn’t move her legs. The drugs must still be in her system, she thought. She needed to think of a plan to get out of here.
She knew Eamon would be searching for her.
Hell, for all she knew, Damian was on his way here, too.
As she laid there, she thought of Eamon.
She thought of his kindness towards her, even when she was being a bitch.
She missed his gravelly voice. She missed his kind eyes and the way he looked at her.
She vowed right then and there that if she ever got out of here, she was going to make him her Daddy.
Her eyes were coming more into focus as the time went on. Her feet got feeling back first, and before long, she could shift herself to a sitting position. Thankfully, they tied her hands in front of her.
“Well, well, well. Look who finally woke up. Little Miss Piggie.” Diana sneered at her. “What Callum ever saw in you, I will never understand. But no matter. You will be gone before too long, and then I will be his one and only.”
Daphne snorted. “You can have him. Just let me go. He is all yours. I want nothing to do with him.”
“You only wish I would let you go. There is a blizzard going on out there. Maybe I let you go so you die in the mountains. Hmmm, I’ll have to think about that.”
“Ok, Diana. Whatever you say. You do realize that your life is over, right? Even if you do kill me, Eamon will find every person here and he will end you.”
She saw the flicker of fear before her face tightened into another sneer. “Callum will protect me.”
“No, he won’t. Callum is the most selfish person on the planet. He has no morals and does not care who he hurts. He will kill you himself before he lets anything happen to himself.” She gave a bitter laugh as she looked at Diana. “Where is he, anyway? I’m surprised he’s not down here.”
“He had some things to attend to but he will be right here. Rae and I are supposed to feed you and then get you ready for your first night.”
“First night of what?”
“To make men’s dreams come true, of course.” Her cruel smile didn’t quite touch her eyes.
“You’re going to whore me out?” she asked in disbelief. What the fuck was going on here? As soon as she asked that, Callum came into the room carrying a bag.
“Yeah, you’re gonna spread those legs like a good whore and maybe, just maybe, you stay alive. But fuck this up for me and I will bury you in the mountains where no one will ever find you again.” His stench making her stomach coil. He held her chin in his hand and forced her to look at him.
“What the fuck happened to you?” She forced out, trying to not gag. She used to think he was handsome, but now he was just a slimy, stinky, nobody.
“I am proving my worth to the Cartel.”
“So not mafia. What happened to the mafia on the west coast you were supposed to be with?” She figured if she could keep him talking, she would buy herself time to figure out how to get the fuck out of here.
“They weren’t strong enough. I switched to the better team, and now I will be running this section of the cartel in Whitescar. This will all be mine.”
“Ok.”
“Ok? That’s all you have to say?” His eyes narrowed, and she knew what happened next would make or break everything.
“Sorry, Sir. I was just taken aback. I didn’t know.”
“That’s better, you cunt. Now shut up, stop asking questions. You, Diana and girl I don’t know, get her bathed and ready for tonight. She goes on in a couple of hours.”
She knew this would likely be the only opportunity she had to escape. She needed to figure out how to get Rae on her side. She always seemed nice and quiet. Maybe she would help them both escape. She knew she could convince Eamon to help her, too.
“You help her. I don’t want to touch her. I’ll be back later with her dinner. She has an outfit she is supposed to wear over there.” Diana stormed out of the room, leaving her and Rae staring at each other. Rae came over and kneeled in front of her.
“I don’t know if there are cameras in here, so we have to do what they say while we are getting you ready, but I want to get out of here. Will you trust me?” she whispered as she attended to the minor scrapes on my legs.
“Of course. How did you end up here?”
“It’s a super long story, but the short version is that my family owns the land that borders this property.
I was in town because my parents and brother died in a car crash, and as their only living heir, I had to come to their mansion to sort things.
It’s just down the mountain from here. Diana and Kayleigh found me in town and forced me here to help.
Said my house could wait, that they needed another guard for the girls.
She didn’t give me a choice, and I figured I could get intel and then turn them into the FBI once I got out of here.
She and Kayleigh have let this all go to their heads and drunk the Kool-Aid.
I just want out of here and back to my life. ”
“What happened to her? I mean, whatever, it doesn’t matter. We will have plenty of time to talk about it. Let’s just do what they asked so we can get out of here. Do you know the best route? Do you even know anything about what is outside the doors?”
“Yes. We were given a lot of freedom in the beginning, so I spent most of my time outside mapping the area and setting up a fake trail so they couldn’t follow me.
My house is fully stocked with stuff. It might be freezing getting there, but once we’re there, we’ll have everything we need. Minus a phone. Another long story.”
“What about the guards?”
“Most of the guards are too high or sexed up to even notice what’s going on.”
“Apparently there is a blizzard coming tonight. It was freezing this afternoon, but I didn’t think we would get snow tonight. He picked the worst fucking time to kidnap me; I swear to god I’m going to kill him if I get the chance.”
Rae cocked her head to the side. “I mean, is there really a ‘good’ time to be kidnapped?”
Giggling, Daphne answered, “No, I guess not, but you know what I mean. Snow makes things harder and more complicated.”
“True. Snow will also cover our tracks. They wildly underestimated a girl who grew up in the mountains. I can survive out there, and they don’t think I can. I’ll get you to safety if you can help me out from there.”
“Of course. Eamon will be grateful for your help. He doesn’t harm women or children. He will help you, I promise.” She was positive she could convince Eamon to help her. “Thank you for helping me.”
“It’s the least I can do. I’m sorry I went along with her. I have no excuses.”
“No, I get it, I really do. She is a force to be reckoned with. I know she was the ringleader. I’m just glad you are far enough removed to help me.”
“Thanks for being understanding and not hating me.” They smiled at each other and she gave Rae’s hand a squeeze.
“Ok, fake shower is done. Now you just have to get dressed.” She opened the bag to reveal a nightgown.
“At least I won’t be completely naked. But I know why he is doing this. Fucker.” She sighed as she took in the garment.
“You’re a Little, aren’t you?” Rae asked as she helped her put the nightgown on. It was blue and yellow and totally not her style. It wasn’t even something she would want to wear as a Little, and she was thankful for that.
“I am. Or at least I think I am. I love the idea of it, but I am not a little Little. I feel like I’m an older Little.
Like I like to wear cute clothes and watch cartoons and draw a lot, but I don’t wear diapers or drink out of a bottle.
My best friend, Kiera, who you will meet when we get out of here, is that Little, and I love her and her Daddy. ”
“Do you have a Daddy?”
“I hope I do. I want Eamon to be my Daddy; he just doesn’t know it yet. Did you have a Daddy at home waiting for you?”
Sighing, she sat down on the thin, worn mattress in the corner. “I don’t. I wish I did. I want a Daddy so bad. I don’t know what age Little I am, but I think I’m younger than you.”
“That’s ok. When we get out of here, we will find the best Daddy in the world for you. And Kiera is so great. You will love her. You will love everyone on the estate. It is safe. Eamon will keep us safe.”
“That sounds nice. Really nice. I haven’t felt safe in a really long time,” she said sadly.
“Ok, so how do we get out of here?”
“I have a plan. Please, just trust me on this.” She was looking at her with tears in her eyes, pleading with her to believe her.
“Ok. I will trust you. Please don’t make me regret this.” Daphne was terrified of being stabbed in the back, but didn’t feel like she had any other choice.
The door flew open and a furious Callum stormed in. “Well, you get the night off. Fucking weather is keeping people from coming in. They are closing the damn mountain so no one can get in or out. They will clear the roads tomorrow, so enjoy this while it lasts.”
While he was talking, she saw Rae sneak out.
Hopefully, that meant she was going to start executing the plan.
Thankfully, Callum left and she heard the door lock behind him.
She was stuck here. Stuck in the tiny concrete room with no way out.
Just to make sure, she checked the doorknob.
Locked. She had nothing to do until she heard from Rae.
She hoped the plan would happen soon, but also she hoped that it would happen in the morning because it honestly might be safer.
Either way, she was going to be freezing out there.
She didn’t know where her shoes were and had no socks or coat or anything.
The tiny nightgown, though flannel, would not keep her warm in blizzard temperatures.
