15. Chapter 15
Eamon
They followed the GPS tracker to a mansion in the middle of nowhere. They kept quiet, and they didn’t want the girls to scream, so he went up to the door and slowly poked his head in.
“Daphne? Babygirl? Are you in here? It’s Eamon.”
He moved his flashlight across the large living room until it landed on two of the most scared Little girls he had ever seen. Their eyes were wide, and they were clinging to each other, tears streaming down their faces.
“Daddy!” Daphne screamed and ran to him. He hoisted her up in his arms and shushed her protests. He was more than strong enough to hold his babygirl.
“Hey, hey. You’re safe now, babygirl. My sweet, smart, brave girl. I’ve got you.” He rocked her back and forth, patting her back, holding her tight. When her cries settled, he let her slide down to her feet.
Taking her face in his hands, he kissed her forehead, her cheeks, and finally kissed her mouth. He chuckled at her whine when he pulled away. “Trust me, I want to do more of that, but right now we need to get you girls out of here.”
“We can’t leave Rae. She helped me, and she’s Little like me.
She was so scared, but she was super brave and helped get us here.
Apparently, she had been planning to leave for a long time and had been putting supplies together so she could be safe.
This is her family’s home, so it had lots of stuff we needed.
Callum thought we were dumb, but we’re not.
She’s my friend, Daddy. We can’t leave her behind. ”
“Of course not, sweet girl. We are not leaving either of you here.” Turning to look at the terrified girl in the corner, he crouched down.
“Hey, Rae. Thank you for being such a brave girl and helping to get my Little girl to safety. You are safe with us now. I have a whole team of my men outside who are waiting to see you back to my estate, where you will be safe.”
Slowly, Rae got up and walked over to Daphne. They grabbed hands and looked to Eamon for what to do next.
“Are either of you hurt at all? Are you able to walk?”
“We’re not hurt, Daddy. I have some scratches on me, but other than that, I’m ok.”
“I’m ok, too, Mr. Eamon. He didn’t like me, but he left me alone. Where is he, anyway?” Rae asked.
“We have him, and you never have to worry about him again. I promise.”
“What about all the girls there? And the other guards?” Daphne asked.
“Yeah, and Diana and Kayleigh?” Rae added.
“Everyone is safe and being moved to safe houses as we speak. The men are being taken care of, and Diana and Kayleigh are going to live a miserable life. I don’t harm women and children, but that doesn’t mean I won’t make their lives a living hell for what they did to you and to all those women.”
They both breathed a sigh of relief.
“Ok, girls, let’s go. Now, when we get outside, there will be a lot of men, but they are all my men. We are going to walk back to the SUVs that are only a short distance away.” Leading them out of the house, they all started walking.
“How did you find me, Daddy?”
“Well, I was a little bit sneaky, but I’m glad I was. I put a tracker on you and Kiera before you went into town. I placed it in your hair ties so it wasn’t obvious and wasn’t likely to get taken out.” He smiled at her shocked face.
“That was super sneaky, Daddy. But I’m glad you were because you saved me. Saved us. But I knew you were coming. I knew you wouldn’t leave me there.”
“I would never.”
He held her hand through the snow; it was getting deeper, but at least the blizzard conditions had cleared out.
If the situation wasn’t so dire, he would stop and appreciate the beauty of the snowy mountains, the stillness of the world around him.
Having his babygirl back in his arms made him feel at peace.
Once they reached the SUVs, he got Daphne settled in the second SUV while the Mason brothers got Rae in the middle SUV.
They were sandwiched in by three other SUVs, all with armed people inside, bulletproof glass, and anti-flat tires.
They were safe as they headed out of Whitescar and back to Winter Peak and the safety of the estate.
He wasn’t 100% sure what the fallout of all of this would be, but he had Callum and would have a chat with him soon.
For now, he was sleeping off the drugs in his special room.
He looked over, and his girl had slumped over on his shoulder. He reached down and grabbed her bankie and her panda that she loved so much now.
Her eyes fluttered open at his movement and she sighed in contentment. “Bankie. You brought bankie and Blossom.” She took them and cuddled them close.
“Blossom? Is that the name you settled on for your panda?” He absentmindedly rubbed her head.
“Yea. Blossom is the perfectest name ever for a panda.” She kissed his furry head before looking up at him, those brown eyes filled with heat and wanting.
“Babygirl,” he groaned.
“Daddy. Kiss me. Please. I’ve waited so long to find my Daddy, and I decided that you were mine and you don’t seem to mind, so please, just kiss me already.”
He kissed her, hard. It was a kiss of ownership.
She was his, and he was never letting her go.
He nudged her lips with his tongue, encouraging her to open for him.
He explored her mouth with his tongue, devouring her like it was his last meal.
“You are so perfect. Daphne Erin Stone. So damn perfect.” He pulled away; her lips were swollen and her eyes glazed over.
She had never looked more beautiful than she did in the moment.
“Daddy. I want more,” she whined and looked at him with those wide eyes and big, pouty, pink lips.
“I know you do. I do too. But we need to have a conversation about rules and boundaries, and we kinda have company.” He motioned towards his driver, Noah, who, to his credit, was doing a pretty good job of ignoring them.
He chuckled at her bright red cheeks that had nothing to do with the heat in the car.
“It’s ok. He won’t say anything.” He winked at her.
“Daddy…That’s so embarrassing.”
“It’s not like you didn’t know someone was driving us, babygirl.”
“Yeah, well, I forgetted. Is not my fault.” She pouted, and he tapped her nose.
“We’re almost home. When we get there, Dr. Dan is going to check you both out and then you can have a shower and into bed to rest for a while.”
“Ok, Daddy. But I really don’t need the doctor. I promise I’m fine.”
“Who gets to make that decision, Little Panda?”
She gave him a huff. “You do, Daddy. Is Little Panda my new nickname?”
“I think so. I rather like it, and I think it suits you.”
She tapped her chin as an adorable look came over her face, and he couldn’t help but smile at her. “Otay, Daddy. I like it.”
They pulled up to his house, got the girls out, and took them straight to Dr. Dan’s office.
He gave them a quick check over. Poor girls looked like they were about to fall over.
After determining that they really just needed some rest, Rae went with Murphy Mason to his house, and he took Daphne to his room.
It was her first time in his room and he just wanted her in his arms, where he was positive she was safe.
“I need to call Damian.” She whispered as she sat on the edge of his big bed, yawning wide.
“Ok. We can call him.” He pulled out his phone and handed it to her. She turned on the video and waited for him to answer. It was early there, but he knew Damian would be awake.
“Hey big bro.” Her voice was wobbly, and tears shone in her eyes. “I’m safe. I’m home with Daddy.”
“Daddy, huh? That was fast.” He laughed.
“Yeah, well, I didn’t give him a choice. I told the universe that if I got out there alive, I was making him mine whether or not he wanted it. He’s my dream Daddy.”
“Well I am happy for you both. I approve.” He heard his sigh and saw the shift in Daphne. Coming over, he gathered her in his arms and kissed her head.
“I’m ok, Damian. I promise. Rae was there and she helped get me out.
If it wasn’t for her, I would probably still be there waiting for some guy to come and use me.
He was going to whore me out. I’m glad I got out of there before anything happened.
” She snuggled in closer to Eamon, and he felt on top of the world.
“Thank you, Eamon, for saving my sister.” Damian had tears in his eyes.
“Of course. I would do anything for her. I would burn the whole god-damned world down for you, babygirl.” He kissed her nose.
He was about to suggest she go to bed when Ferris and Emma came on screen.
“Hey, Ferris. Hey, Emma. I’m glad I got to see you. I’m home and safe now. And this is my Daddy.”
Emma clapped and squealed, “Yay! Oh, goody. I’m so glad you have your Daddy now. Having one is the best ever.”
“I know. I kinda sorta didn’t give him a choice, but I think that’s ok.”
“It’s so exciting! When you get married, can I be the flower girl?” she asked, grinning so widely he thought her face was going to split in half.
“They aren’t even engaged yet, Popcorn. Let’s slow down a little bit.” Ferris chuckled at her pout, but she nodded her head.
“I promise you will be in the wedding, and I need to borrow my brother to walk me down the aisle. It’s a nonnegotiable.” She nodded her head like she just sealed the deal.
“Ok, Little One, let’s slow down. Yes, I am going to marry you, but let me at least ask you first.” He shook his head in amusement.
They had been a couple for all of two hours.
But he loved that girl more than anything and couldn’t wait to put a ring on her finger and change her last name to O’Brien.
“Ok, fine. I’ll give you a week.” She looked triumphant as she turned towards the smiling faces on the screen.
“I guess we’re going out to a wedding this summer, huh?” Damian smiled.
“I guess so. Ok, I hate to do this, but my Little Panda…” He was interrupted by a delighted squeal.
