Chapter 15 Watching the Movie

After breakfast, Lanxi suggested watching a movie.

She said she wanted to watch a horror film that had been saved in her cloud drive for a long time.

She had not watched it because no one accompanied her.

Now that I was here, she had the courage.

I thought for a moment and said, "Okay."

I was actually very afraid of ghosts, but I did not say it.

I did not know why. Maybe I just wanted to leave a good impression in front of Lanxi.

The curtains were drawn tightly, blocking all light.

The blue light from the screen shone on our faces. I shrank back in fear.

As the movie progressed, my fear grew stronger.

Finally, when the eerie music played, I could not help but hug Lanxi.

She was so slim and so soft.

That was my first thought.

Lanxi hugged me back without hesitation. "Don't be afraid. It's all fake."

I listened to her comforting voice and rested my head on her shoulder.

I felt strangely at peace.

At that moment, the doorbell rang loudly.

It made a harsh sound.
