Chapter 27 Her Home

My heart pounded like a drum.

The cigarette fell to the ground. I stepped on it and crushed it.

“Okay.”

I agreed without hesitation.

“Then let me carry your luggage.”

Lanxi spoke cheerfully, her smile bright and beautiful.

This was my second time at Lanxi’s home.

The living room had already been tidied. It was clean and neat, with a faint lemon scent floating in the air.

“Is it okay for you to stay here for now?”

“Completely okay.”

I nodded. My real intention was obvious.

When I unpacked my luggage, Lanxi helped me.

I saw sweat on her forehead and guessed she must be tired.

I stopped her from bending down to hang clothes. “I can finish the rest myself.”

Lanxi straightened up and took a tissue to wipe her forehead.

“Are you feeling sorry for me?” Lanxi asked.

Before I could react, she had already reached out and taken my fingers.

I didn’t pull away. I just stared at her stiffly.

She guided my fingers to touch her abdomen.

It wasn’t soft. It was firm, tight, full of strength.

“I work out often.” Sunlight poured through the glass onto her. “So I’m just a little hot.”

I slowly curled my fingers. My cheeks gradually turned red.
