Chapter 31 The Coffee Shop

Lately I kept feeling like someone was following me.

I deliberately walked into a coffee shop I often went to.

I found a seat by the window, then ordered an iced Americano.

Soon the door opened again. The person following me walked in.

I took a small sip of my coffee, then stood up and quickly headed for the back door.

I ran out, then circled around to the front again.

Through the floor-to-ceiling glass window, I saw clearly who was following me.

He was wearing a hat and a mask, but I recognized him at once.

It was Shen Yizheng.

I pushed the door open again and walked back into the coffee shop, then sat down across from him.

"Is it fun following me?"

I got straight to the point.

Shen Yizheng looked up. When he saw that I had caught him, he stopped pretending.

"So who exactly are you with?" Shen Yizheng clenched his fists. "I've been following you for so many days and I still couldn't figure it out!"

"Does it matter who I'm with?"

"You don't think you've found someone better, do you?" Shen Yizheng gave a cold laugh. "Let me tell you the truth. All men are the same. They might not even treat you as well as I did."

"Oh, is that so."

I did not care.

"So you might as well choose me. At least I have money."

Shen Yizheng kept trying to raise his stakes.

A message popped up on my phone. I glanced at it.

It was from Lanxi.

I looked up toward the other side of the street. She was standing there waiting for me.

"Shen Yizheng, look over there."

I pointed out the window.

He followed my finger and saw Lanxi.

"Lanxi?"

"Yes." I curved my lips. "Do you know why you never see my girlfriend?"

"Why?"

"I should actually thank you for introducing us," I said slowly. "Because she is my girlfriend now."

I left those words behind and stood up to go.

I did not care about Shen Yizheng's face turning deathly pale behind me.
