Chapter 3
Shivansh' POV
I was in my office in a meeting when I received Dadu's call. I picked it up without a thought as if Dadu has called there must be a reason.
As soon as I picked up and answered the call I heard a melodious voice of a female. She told me that Dadu had felt dizzy near the park. I immediately left the meeting and went to Dadu.
As I reached there and saw that Dadu was fine, I took a breadth of relief.
And then......
I saw her.
Aisa nhi tha ki usse zyada khoobsurat ladki maine dekhi nhi thi par pata nhi use dekh k laga ki ise dekh liya toh ab kisi ko dekhne ki zaroorat nhi hai. Uski woh pyaari bhuri aankhein jinme kuch toh udasi si thi.
Uski gulabi kurti and woh chote chote jhumkhe. Uske gaalon pe naachti uski woh baalo k late.
(Its not like I had not seen a woman more beautiful than her but after looking at her, I felt like there is no need to look at anyone else. Those brown eyes which held a hint of sadness. That pink kurti and those small earings. Those strands of hair dancing on her cheeks.)
My breath just got hitched. She looked so serene. I just..
"Ansh...Ansh beta..." My chain of thought broke when dadu called me.
"Ji dadu?!"
(Yes grandpa.)
"Yeh Ruhanika hai, beta aur Ruhanika beta, yeh mera bada pota Shivansh."
(She is Ruhanika, son. And Ruhanika dear, he is my eldest grandson Shivansh.)
I stretched my hand for a handshake while saying hello but she joined her hands and said namaste.
Her voice....damn...
Then dadu bid her bye and we left.
In the car,
"Dadu, aap apna dhyaan kyu nhi rakhte, aise kaise chalega"
(Grandpa, you do dont take care of yourself. How will this work?)
"Arey kuch nhi hua Ansh, bas thode chakkar aa gaye the"
(Nothing to worry Ansh. I just got a bit dizzy.)
"Aapko mein pehle hospital leke chalunga Dadu, ek baar docter ko dikha denge uske baad mein aapse baat karunga"
(First I will take you to the hospital. We will talk to doctor first and then we will see.)
"Arey par..."
(But....)
I just looked at Dadu saying," Dare you argue and I am calling your wife"
He excitedly replied,"When will you give me a chance to say this to you"
"Dadu, not again"
We reached the hospital. The doctor checked Dadu and it was just due to weakness and he should be all good and there was nothing to worry.
While returning Dadu again tried to bring the topic of my marriage but I shut it down. Dadu really wants me to get married and even Dadi is supporting him in this, but I have managed to avoid it.
We returned home and Dadi told me to not go to office as it was already past 7.
I went to my room and then in my study to do work.
At 8, someone knocked on the door. A maid was standing there and she told me that Dadu and Dadi have asked me to be there for dinner and no excuses.
I went to have dinner and sat on a chair. Everyone was already present there. As I reached there and sat everyone started eating. As the dinner came to an end Dadu asked me to be in his room.
In Dadu-Dadi's room.
"Ansh, I and your Dadi have decided to get you married"
"But Dadu..."
"First listen to your Dadu, beta" Dadi told me.
I sighed.
"I and your Dadi have thought through it and we think that we are also getting old. How long will we be there for you. Hum chahte hai ki tumhari bhi zindagi mein koi ho. Hum humesha tumhare pass nhi rahenge beta"
(We want that there should be someone in your life. We wont be there for you always.)
"Aur beta, mein yaha tujhe akela chhod k chali gai toh tere papa ko aur bhagwan ko kya muh dikhaungi beta"
(And son, I will never get peace after deaty, if I keave you here alone.)
"Dadi please aisa mat kahiye"
(Grandma, please dont say like that.)
"Toh please humari yeh baat maan lo beta, aur waise bhi tumhari shadi ki umar bhi toh ho gai hai"
(Then please listen to us. And anyways, you are at the age to get married.)
"Jaisa aapko thik lage Dadu-Dadi"
(As you say.)
They beamed with happiness.
"Aap ladki pasand kar lijiye"
(You choose the girl.)
"Arey Ansh, woh ladki jo aaj park k bahar mili thi jisne meri madad ki thi, Ruhanika, woh bohot achhi ladki hai.
Tere PA ko kal subah ghar bula lena aur main usse keh k Ruhanika ki information nikalva lunga aur phir uske ghar rishte ki baat karenge. Agar tujhe thik lage toh"
(Ansh, that girl whom I met near the park who helped me, Ruhanika, she is a really nice girl. Ask your PA to come here in the morning and ask him to get her information and then I will talk to her family. If you are okay.)
"Ji Dadu"
(Okay Grandpa.)
After that I wished them good night and went to my room.
The whole night I couldn't sleep. Aankein band karte hi woh khoobsurat sa chehra aankho k samne aa jaata hai.
(As soon as I closed my eyes, her beautiful face came in front of me.)
Even if we get married I cannot let her be close to me. Agar woh mere pass aai toh shayad mein use bhi kho dunga. Itna kuch toh kho chuka hun ab aur kuch khona nhi chahta.
(If she will come close to me then I will lose her too. I dont have the strength to lose much now. I have had enough.)
