Author's POV
Mrs. Rajvansh,"Raj, Aarav, utho vaha se. Yeh tum dono kya kar rahe ho?"
(Raj, Aarav, get up from there. What are you both doing?)
Rajveer,"Maa, humari galti hai toh humein bhai se aur bhabhi se maafi bhi mangni hi hogi."
(Mom, it was our mistake, so we have to apologize to Bhai and Bhabhi.)
Chachi,"Kaise galti? Aur jo bhi ho, is ladke k pairo mein pad k maafi mangne ki koi zaroorat nahi. Hai hi kon yeh."
(What mistake? Whatever it is you don't have to kneel before this boy. Who the he'll is he?)
Dadi,"Surekha!! Chup raho."
(Surekha!! Shut up.)
Mrs. Rajvansh,"Kyun Maa. Aap humesha humein chup nahi karva sakti. Raj, Aarav utho tum dono waha se. Isse kisi baat ki koi maafi mangne ki zaroorat nahi hai."
(Why Mom. You can't always shut us up. Raj, Aarav get up from there. There is no need to apologize to him for anything.)
Aarav,"Nahi Badi Maa, Raj bhai thik keh rahe hai. Humne galti ki hai humein maafi mangni hogi. Bhai, humein maaf kar dijiye please. Phirse aisi galti nahi hogi."
(No Badi Maa, Raj Bhai is right. We made a mistake so we have to apologize. Bhai, please forgive us. We won't repeat such mistake.)
Shivansh,"Utho tum dono. Iski koi zaroorat nahi hai. Ho jaati hai galti."
(Get up you both. There is no need for this. It happens.)
While saying this Shivansh looked at Ruhanika, asking her to say something to his brothers.
Ruhanika,"Shiv-Shivansh-j-ji thik ke-keh rah-rahe hai. Aa-aap a-aisa mat ki-kijiye."
(Shivanshji is right. You please don't do this.)
Rajveer,"Nahi bhabhi, bhai humein keh k gaye the ki aapka aur Aaru ka humein achhe se dhyaan rakhna hai. Lekin bhai jab aaye toh unhe aapko uss halat mein dekhna pada."
(No Bhabhi, Bhai told us before leaving that we have to take care of you and Aaru. But when Bhai returned he had to see you in that condition.)
Ruhanika shook her head and was about to say something but, Mrs. Rajvansh interupted her.
Mrs. Rajvansh,"Koi zaroorat nahi hai maafi mangne ki. Tum dono utho waha se. Yeh hota kon hai tum dono ko apni biwi ki zimmedari de k jaane wala. Iska aur iski biwi ka koi wasta nahi hai is ghar se aur nahi koi haq tumhare upar hai, jo yeh tumhe koi bhi zimmedari de k jaaye. Utho dono."
(There is no need to apologize. You both get up. Who is he to give his wife's responsibility to you. He and his wife are no one to us. He has no right to give you any responsibility. Got up, both of you.)
Rajveer and Aarav still did not budge, hence, Shivansh made them stand up and said,"Koi baat nahi. Ab toh Ruhanika thik hai na, hmm?"
(It's okay. Ruhanika is fine now.)
Dadu,"Ruhi beta, tum sidiyon se gir kaise gayi thi beta?"
(Ruhi, dear, how did you fall from the stairs?)
Ruhanika was not able to speak anything due to fear of Mrs. Rajvansh and Chachi.
Shivansh,"Dadu, Ruhanika ne kaha tha ki woh khud se nahi giri. Sidiyon pe kuch tha jiski wajah se uska pair fisal gaya. Shayad pani ya kuch aur."
(Grandpa, Ruhanika said that she did not fall intentionally. There was something on the stairs due to which she slipped. Maybe water or something.)
Dadi mumbled,"Aise kaise gira hoga."
(How so?)
Dadi,"Ansh beta, Ruhi ko room mein le jao. Use aaram ki zaroorat hai."
(Ansh, take Ruhi to your room, she needs rest.)
Shivansh nodded and picked up Ruhanika in his arms and carried her to their room. As Shivansh was about to lay down Ruhanika on the bed, she spoke,"Yaha na-nahi, woh va-vaha p-par."
(Not here, there.)
Shivansh did not listen to her and laid her on the bed.
"Please."
"Kyun?"
(Why?)
"Woh, aa-aap ya-yaha pe..."
(You, will sleep here...)
"Nahi, mere liye couch thik hai."
(No, I am good with couch.)
"Na-nahi, ye-yeh th-thik nahi. Pl-please."
(No, that's not right. Please.)
"Mana kiya na maine phir kyun? Itni chot lagi hai na toh phir!"
(I told you no? You are injured still.)
Ruhanika did not argue further and kept sitting there, scared of arguing more as Shivansh had raised his voice at the last sentence.
At night,
Shivansh fed Ruhanika her medicines and asked her to lay down.
Ruhanika just laid down. Shivansh then went to washroom to freshen up. In the meantime, Ruhanika stood up from the bed and went to the window sitting area, the place where she slept daily, even in Shivansh's absence.
As Shivansh came out of the washroom, he frowned not finding Ruhanika where he left her.
"Yeh kaha gayi?" He mumbled and then his eyes fell on her sitting on the window sitting area and starring at the sky.
(Where did she go?)
"Tumhe waha bed pe bithaya tha na, phir yaha?! Aur tum khud chali kyun, tumhe mana kiya hai na chalne se?" Shivansh asked her.
(I made you sit on the bed no? Then why did you come here? And you yourself walked here, even after I refused.)
Ruhanika flinched at his voice but did not say anything.
Shivansh,"Bolo bhi, kuch puch raha hu tumhe."
(Speak something?)
Ruhanika,"Aise achha nahi lagta, aap bed pe so jaiye. Mujhe yaha thik lagega. Please."
(It does not look good, you sleep on the bed. I am okay here. Please.)
Shivansh was getting annoyed with her stubborness.
"Mujhe tumhari koi behes nahi sunni hai, tumhe bed pe hi sona hai. Aaya samjha?" Shivansh said in anger which made Ruhanika scared of him thinking he would also hit her.
(I don't want any arguments, you have to sleep on the bed. Got it?)
"Ma-main be-bed p-pe so ja-jaungi, plea-please muj-mujhe ma-mat mar-mariyega." Ruhanika said with tear filled eyes and hands joined in pleading position.
(I will sleep on the bed, please don't hit me.)
Shivansh,"What?!"
Shivansh could not believe what he heard. She thought he would hit her for keeping her opinion. Shivansh knew he had to make her understand that he would never hit her. He could see the fear in her eyes, but he knew first he had to calm himself down before talking to her as never in his dreams, he thought his dear Ruhh will think like that about him. So without any furthur words he left the room.
Shivansh was in the corridor when Aarohi called him.
Aarohi,"Bhai?"
Shivansh turned around and saw her.
Aarohi,"Bhai, aap room mein nai ho? Bhabhi hai waha pe?"
(Bhai, you here? You are not in the room? Bhabhi is there?)
Shivansh nodded at her.
Aarohi,"Kya baat hai bhai?"
(What happened bhai?)
Shivansh,"Kuch nahi Aaru."
(Nothing Aaru.)
Aarohi,"Offo bhai, bata bhi do aap."
(Oh Bhai, tell me.)
Shivansh,"Aaru, bachho ki baat nai hai, tum jao so jao."
(Aaru, it is not a child's business. Go to sleep.)
Aarohi decieded to not stretch the topic further and went to her room. Shivansh came to his room and slept.

A house was caught up in a fire while a boy, around 7 years was standing outside the house, trying to get in but some people were keeping him in check.
"Ammi, Ammi, mujhe ammi k pass jaana hai, chhodo mujhe chhodo, Ammmmmiiiii......"
(Mom, mom, I want to go to mom, leave me, leave, mommmmmm.....)
"Ammiiii....." Shivansh woke up sweating profusely.
(Mommm....)
Shivansh again had the same nightmare that haunts him from the past 21 years.
Ruhanika had woken up from her sleep after hearing Shivansh.

Ruhanika's POV
Shivanshji screamed in his sleep and woke up. He is having a nightmare. Can I go to him? Will he shout at me? Will he hit me if I tried to talk to him? But he had a nightmare, I want to be with him.
Keeping my fear aside, I decided to go to him.
"Sh-Shiva-Shivanshji, aap th-thik hai?"
(Shivanshji, are you okay?)
"Huh?!! Haa, haa, tum so jao. Sorry tumhe utha diya."
(Huh?!! Yeah, yeah, you go to sleep . Sorry I woke you up.)
"Na-nahi, ko-koi ba-baat nahi. Ma-main aa-aapki k-kuch madad, madad karu?"
(No, it's okay. Can I help you?)
He shook his head. I gave him a glass of water kept on the nightstand. He drank the whole glass.
"Tum so jao."
(You got o sleep.)

Shivansh's POV
I knew, I was not getting anymore sleep. It was still just 3 at night. But I felt it to tiring to do anything so I just laid back on the bed.
Just as I had closed my eyes, I felt bed dipping besides my head. I snapped open my eyes to see Ruhh sitting there.
She did not speak anything just started moving her hand in my hair.
F$&k, this feeling. It feels so good. I did not even realise when I slept.
Next morning,
It was such a nice sleep. When I woke up, I saw Ruhh sleeping while sitting besides me and her hand still in my hair. This girl! She is not well, but still she is doing this. She should have slept comfortably so that she could recover fast. I woke up and carefully made her sleep comfortably. I went to the gym to get started with my day.
When I returned from my gym, Ruhh was awake and sitting on the bed. I did not talk to her as yesterday's behaviour of hers is still running in my mind. I will hit her, like what the hell, how can she think like that.
Whatever, I anyways have to keep her away from me and her being scared that I would hit her gives her enough reason to stay away. But her care last night.
Uhhhh...I want her to stay away from me but why can't I stay away from her. This is so irritating.
I straight away went to the washroom. But I was not ready to witness what I saw when I came out of the washroom after shower.

Ruhanika's POV
I woke up to find myself on the bed entangled in the sheets. I detangled myself and sat on the bed thinking about last night. What caused Shivanshji's nightmare?
As I was thinking this, He came in the room. Itni subah kaha gaye honge yeh?! I thought but itni himmat kaha jo main unse puchu!
(Where would he have gone so early? I don't have the courage to ask him.)
He just looked at me and went to washroom. After sometime, I got up from the bed and first folded the blanket on the sitting area and then as I was doing the duvet on the bed, it got tangled in my feet and I fell down.
"Ouch! Hey Mahadev, itti toh lagi hai, ab phir se gir gai main." As I said this, Shivanshji came out of the washroom and looked at me.
(Ouch, God, I am already so injured amd again I fell.)
"Tum niche kyun baithi ho?"
(Why are you sitting on the floor.)
"Woh, ismein pair fas gaya aur main gir gai." I complained him while pointing towards blanket.
(My leg got tangled in this and I fell.)
"What...?" He shouted.
Is he going to scold me or hit me for the mistake. Par galti se ho gaya tha.
(But it was by mistake.)
