Chapter 20

Ruhanika checked Shivansh's forehead to find him burning up with fever. She quickly went to get the first aid box and checked his temperature to find it 102°F.

Ruhanika,'Inhe toh bohot zyada bukhar hai.' While thinking this, she tried to wake up Shivansh.

"Shiv, uthiye na. Aapko bukhar hai uthiye na Shiv."

But Shivansh was not buldging at all. He was in deep sleep due to his fever.

Ruhanika then went downstairs to the kitchen and grabbed a bowl and added water to it along with ice. She then returned to their room and got a hanky.

Ruhanika sat besides Shivansh and started keeping wet stripes on his forehead to reduce his fever.

In the morning.

Shivansh woke up groggily when the sunlight fell on his face. He felt something on his forehead which was a handkerchief. He retrived it and looked around to see Ruhanika sleeping in the sitting position which looked uncomfortable. When Shivansh saw the bowl of water on the bedside table, he realised that he may have caught fever and Ruhanika did cold stripes to reduce the temperature.

Shivansh sat up on the bed and made Ruhanika lie down in a comfortabke position which caused her to wake up.

Ruhanika,"Shiv! Aap?! Aap thik toh hai? Bukhar toh nahi hai ab." While saying this, she kept her hand on his forehead to check.

Shivansh,"Main bilkul thik hu Ruhh. Thank you mera raat ko khayal rakhne k liye."

Ruhanika,"Aap bata sakte the na ki aapko bhukar hai. Hum doctor k pass jaa sakte the."

Shivansh,"Ruhh mujhe pata hi nahi tha lekin."

Ruhanika,"Toh aap yeh toh keh sakte the na ki aapko achha nahi lag raha. Pata hai aapko kitna tez bukhar tha raat ko. Aap uth bhi nahi rahe the, main kitna darr gayi thi."

Shivansh,"Achha Sorry na Janna. Maaf kardo, agli baar dhyaan rakhunga."

Ruhanika,"Nahi chahiye aapka sorry. Mujhe taiyaar hona hai jaane dijiye. Aur aap aaram kijiye."

Shivansh,"Ruhh par suno toh..."

Ruhanika,"Mujhe nahi karni aapse baat." With the she disappeared into the washroom, leaving a confused Shivansh back.

Shivansh thought,'Ab Patniji ko kaise manaya jaaye. Yeh toh naraz ho gayi.'

He thought for sometime and then called someone.

After sometime, Ruhanika came out of the closet, all ready for her day. She saw Shivansh sitting on the bed. She ignored him and went downstairs to get his breakfast.

Shivansh saw her leaving and followed her. He held the end of her dupatta and started following behind her.

Ruhanika entered the kitchen and started making breakfast.

Ruhanika,"Yeh aap kya kar rahe hai. Dupatta chodiye mera."

Shivansh,"Ruhh maaf kardo na sorry na. Dobara nahi karunga pakka."

Ruhanika,"Mujhe kuch nahi sunna. Aap mujhe nashta banane dijiye." With that, she tried to remove her dupatta from his hold but failed.

As Ruhanika was finishing up making breakfast, Parinidhi came there. She saw Shivansh holding Ruhanika's dupatta. She giggled which caught Shivansh and Ruhanika's attention.

Parinidhi,"Bhaiya, Bhabhi kya chal raha hai ha. Kitchen romance, not bad."

Ruhanika,"Aisa kuch nahi hai Pari. Aur aap chhodiye na."

Shivansh,"Tum maaf kardo na."

Parinidhi,"Kya kiya Bhaiya aapne?" She wiggled her eyebrows looking at Shivansh.

Shivansh gave her a helpless look. While, Parinidhi saw Ruhanika keeping food on a tray, so she interwined.

Parinidhi,"Bhabhi, aap dono bhi humare saath hi nashta kijiye. Koi zaroorat nahi hai upar jaane ki."

Ruhanika,"Nahi Pari."

Parinidhi,"Please. Mere liye."

Ruhanika and Shivansh shared a glance, clearly in a dilema.

Shivansh,"Pari, samajhne ki koshish karo.."

Parinidhi,"Mujhe kuch nahi samajhna." With that, she held both of their hands and took them to the dining table and made them sit and spoke further,"Ab aap dono yahi baithye. Main nashta lagati hu."

After that all other members came and took a seat and lastly Mrs. Rajvansh took her seat.

Everyone served themselves and started having breakfast.

Mrs. Rajvansh,"Aaj tum dono yaha kyun nashta kar rahe ho?"

Before Shivansh and Ruhanika could speak, Parinidhi spoke,"Woh Maa maine kaha tha Bhaiya aur Bhabhi se. Sab saath mein nashta karte hai aur woh room mein achha nahi lagta na."

Mrs. Rajvansh,"Sab achha hi lagta hai. Jo jaise chalta hai waise hi chalne do, badalne ki koshish mat karo."

Parinidhi,"Aise kaise Maa. Pura parivar saath mein khata hai toh..."

Mrs. Rajvansh cut her off harshly and spoke,"Exactly. Parivaar saath mein nashta karta hai. Aur in dono ki mere parivar mein koi jagah nahi. Aur tumhari shaadi k liye ha kaha hai lekin ghar k faisle lene ka haq nahi."

Parinidhi,"Mere Bhaiya Bhabhi k saath nashta karne ka faisla mera hai, ghar ka nahi Maa."

Shivansh knew it was getting out of hand so he interwined,"Pari, bas. Aur please Mrs. Rajvansh aap bhi. Pari is ghar ki bahu hai aur Raj ki patni. Iska pura haq hai ghar par." With that he stood up and walked to his room followed by Ruhanika.

In the room.

Ruhanika entered the room with Shivansh. She saw a big bouquet of Pink tulips on the coffee table.

Shivansh hugged Ruhanika from behind.

Ruhanika,"Shiv, yeh kya hai? Yaha kaise aaya?"

Shivansh,"Yeh meri Ruhh k liye ek chhota sa gift. Sorry na Ruhh, maaf kardo please. Dobara nahi karunga."

Ruhanika turned around him, still in his arms and spoke,"Shiv, aap jaante hai, mere liye aap sabse zyada important hai. Khudse bhi zyada. Meri puri duniya aap hai. Aap apna dhyaan rakha kijiye na. Aapke alawa mera hai ji kon?" Her eyes held unshed tears.

Shivansh,"Mujhe pata hai Ruhh. Par mujhe raat ko sirf sar dard ho raha tha. Mujhe nahi pata tha ki bukhar aa jaayega. Aage se dhyaan rakhunga. Promise."

Ruhanika,"I Love You Shiv."

Shivansh,"I Love You Ruhh." They stood in the same position for a few seconds and while at it, Shivansh's eyes flickered towards Ruhanika's lips.

Shivansh,"Ruhh, may I kiss you?"

As Shivansh said this, Ruhanika's cheeks turned red. She looked into Shivansh's eyes and blinked her eyes.

With that Shivansh softly started kissing Ruhanika. Shivansh's hands firmly yeld Ruhanika's waist whereas Ruhanika's hands went to Shivansh's neck.

After a couple of minutes, both of them pulled back.

Shivansh,"Ruhhh....."

Ruhanika kept staring at him lovingly while Shivansh pecked her forehead.

After that Shivansh left her and grabbed the bouquet and handed it to her and spoke,"Ab yeh sorry k saath saath first kiss k liye bhi Ruhh." And ended it with a wink.

Ruhanika blushed and accepted the bouquet.

Ruhanika,"Ab aapko aaram karna chahiye Shiv."

Shivansh,"Ruhh, main thik hu baba ab. Aaram karne ki koi zaroorat nahi hai. Maine chutti li hai toh aaj ka saara din hum saath mein bitayenge."

Ruhanika,"Par aapki tabiyat..?"

Shivansh interuppted her in between and spoke,"Tabiyat meri bilkul thik hai. Tumhe shopping jaana hai? Ha toh hum pehle shopping jayenge, phir lunch, uske baad movie aur ghum phir k dinner karke vapis aa jayenge. Tumbe ready hona hai. Jao jaldi jaldi karo phir mujhe bhi ready hona hai." With that he pecked her lips and pushed her in the closet.

After some time, both of them were dressed. Ruhanika wore a yellow coloured anarkali set with a small pair of earrings and the payal gifted by Shivansh. Whereas Shivansh was dressed in a plain white shirt and black pants with sleeves rolled up giving a casual and formal both look.

Shivansh,"Ruhh, tum bohot zyada khoobsurat lag rahi ho."

Ruhanika gave him one of her beautiful smile and replied,"Aap bhi handsome lag rahe hai Shiv."

At the mall.

Ruhanika and Shivansh reached the mall.

Shivansh,"Ruhh, kya shopping karna hai?"

Ruhanika,"Mujhe kuch nahi lena hai Shiv."

Shivansh,"Arey Ruhh. Achha ek baat batao, tum western dresses nahi pehenti na."

Ruhanika,"Nahi."

Shivansh,"Try karne hai?"

Ruhanika,"Kya main kar sakti hu?"

Shivansh,"Bilkul Ruhh."

Ruhanika,"Sachii?! Aapko pata hai mujhe na dresses pehene ka bohot mann hai. Bilkul rajkumari jaisa lagta hoga na. Dress pehen k gol gol ghumenge toh dress bhi ghumti hai. Itna sundar lagta hoga."

Shivansh,"Toh chaliye phir, Rajkumariji ka wardrobe upgrade kiya jaye."

With that Shivansh took her to shop for dresses. He also got her other western outfits such as jeans, trackpants etc. Shivansh bought her anything and everything her thought could be useful for her. After buying half of the mall, Ruhanika was tired so they reached the food court of mall.

Ruhanika,"Shiv aap kitni shopping karte hai? Kitna saman dilaya hai aapne mujhe. Itne kapde hai ki main repeat na karu toh bhi 1 saal chalenge. Aur mujhe bina repeat kiye footwear bhi 2 mahine chalenge."

Shivansh chuckled and spoke,"Ab main apni rajkumari k liye itna toh kar hi sakta hun na." Ruhanika chuckled at his words and shook her head.

Shivansh,"Achha yeh batao, kya khaogi?"

Ruhanika,"Jo aap khayenge."

Shivansh,"Achha burger khaogi?"

Ruhanika nodded. Shivansh left to get food. He returned with burgers and fries. They had their lunch.

Ruhanika,"Shiv, kya m-main? K-kya a-aap muj-mujhe ice-cream di-dila sakte hai?" She had seen a kid eating the icecream which got her craving for it.

Shivansh,"Haq se bina hichkichahat mangogi toh hi."

Ruhanika,"Shiv, hum icecream kha sakte hai?"

Shivansh,"Chaliye princess Ruhanika."

Shivansh bowed before her and gave his hand to her to hold. Ruhanika giggled and kept her hand in his hand.

They went to the icecream counter.

Shivansh,"Bolo Ruhh, konsa flavour?"

Ruhanika,"Umm, aapka favourite konsa hai?"

Shivansh,"Mujhe toh coconut sabse zyada pasand hai."

Ruhanika,"Ha toh mujhe bhi woh taste karna hai."

Shivansh,"Tumne kabhi try nahi kiya?"

Ruhanika,"Nahi. Shrey ko sirf mango hi pasand tha toh humesha wahi late the. Mujhe bhi 1-2 baar khane diya tha. Tabse mujhe icecream bohot pasand aai thi. Thanda thanda aur meetha hota hai. Aapko pata hai icecream meri favourite cheez hai khane mein."

Shivansh,"Ruhh..." He pulled her in a side hug and pecked her forehead. And spoke further,"Tumhe jo bhi flavour try karne hai saare aaj try karenge."

Ruhanika chuckled and spoke,"Yeh aap kya keh rahe hai Shiv, humne abhi toh khana khaya. Main itne saare icecream nahi kha paungi."

Shivansh,"Main pure karne lagunga Ruhh."

Ruhanika,"Nahi. Aapko nahi khani. Aap bimar hai."

Shivansh,"Achha thik hai. Abhi coconut wali kha lo. Phir main tumhe le jaya karunga icecream khane."

With that said, Shivansh ordered a large double scoop of coconut flavour icecream for Ruhanika. As the icecream cone came, Ruhanika dived in it savouring the sweet treat. Even though she restricted Shivansh from it due to him being ill, she couldn't not share with him. After finishing the icecream, Shivansh made Ruhanika go through another one of her first experiences- her first movie in a theater. After movie, they returned home after having dinner.

After a couple days,

At Rajvansh Mansion.

Ruhanika and Shivansh reached mansion. Both of them had a date. Both of them entered the living area just to stop in their places.

All the members of the family were sitting in the living room, but one face were new for Ruhanika.

"Dekho toh kaun aaya hai? Mere jijaji ki pyaar ki nishani. Ya kahu ki najayaas aulad." The elderly lady in her late 50's spoke. She was none other than Mrs. Rajvansh's sister.
