Chapter Twenty-Two

Bonnie walked around the house again, exploring until she’d seen every square inch twice. It was absolutely boring, but she didn”t know what else to do.

She was currently playing on her new phone. She discovered Daddy had at least put games on there for her. Some were puzzles, coloring, and action games but she would rather have a puzzle and coloring books in real life than on a phone app. But she couldn”t complain too much.

Maybe she could text him asking if he can get her real puzzles and coloring books. The worst he could say was no. With that thought, she pulled up his contact and started to type.

Bonnie

Can I get some real puzzles and coloring books with crayons or markers?

She hoped he said yes. And maybe this would bring him back to the house. Bonnie didn”t like being alone. It didn”t sit well with her.

Daddy

Sure. I”ll order some and bring them when they arrive.

He’d programmed his name to be Daddy in the phone he’d given her. He was really trying to show he was her Daddy, and part of her liked it. Daddy was taking control and showing her who was boss.

Bonnie”s stomach grumbled and she rolled over onto her back. It had been grumbling for a while now but she’d tried to ignore it. Cooking wasn”t her favorite thing at all. In all honesty, she would rather starve than cook but she needed to eat to keep her strength up. And food had also been withheld from her for who knows how long.

Even if she did hate cooking, she wanted to eat. To feel herself chewing, tasting the delicious flavor, and enjoying it filling up her stomach.

She sighed and pushed herself off of the floor and started making her way toward the kitchen. In the fridge earlier, she’d seen milk, butter, and some protein drinks but that was it. She’d also managed to find some boxed mac and cheese which sounded absolutely delicious right now.

Bonnie pulled out a pot, filled it with water, and put it on the stove. She just needed to wait for the water to boil and then put the noodles in. Or was it put the noodles in now and then once it boils, the noodles were done?

She couldn”t remember and she honestly didn”t think it would hurt either way. Opening up the box, she pulled the packet of cheese out and dumped the noodles in the pot. She was just going to have to wait and see if this was the right way or not.

Bonnie waited until the water started to boil before she turned off the stove and pulled the pot off. She quickly grabbed a strainer and put it in the sink. This was the part she was always nervous about. She somehow always managed to hurt herself trying to drain the water.

“You”re okay,” she whispered. “It”s super simple.”

Bonnie grabbed the handle of the pot with one hand and the strainer with the other. She slowly and carefully started to pour the water and noodles out of the pan. She heard a creak behind her and startled. Quickly turning around, she found nothing.

Searing hot pain on her hand made her unable to focus on anything else. Crying out, she dropped the pan and it hit the ground. Tears streamed down her face. What was she going to do? What should she do?

Bonnie looked down at the ground and saw the noodles and water all over the floor. Without thinking, she found paper towels and started to clean up the mess. She needed to get this taken care of before Daddy got back. No doubt he wouldn”t like the mess on the floor.

Tears were still streaming down her face as she worked. Well, there went her lunch. Not that it mattered. There was no way she would to be able to eat now with her hand was hurting so much.

She gripped onto the counter with her good hand and took a deep breath in. Her vision was starting to swim and she felt lightheaded. The pain in her hand was like a thousand sharp needles going into her skin and she couldn”t get away from it.

Sobbing, she threw away the soggy paper towels and dirty noodles. She needed to do something about her hand. With each passing second, it was hurting more and more. The urge to throw up was bubbling up inside of her.

Running cold water, Bonnie ran her hand under the stream. Hopefully, it would help. Sticking her hand under, she took several deep breaths as the tears continued to stream down her face. She was still feeling lightheaded and nauseous. When was this going to end?

After what felt like eternity, when her hand was numb, Bonnie turned off the water and sat on the floor. She didn”t even attempt to dry her hand off. She was exhausted and in pain. Leaning her head against the cupboard, she tried to relax her body.

Should she call Rogan? Or would she bother him with her need?

She looked down at her hand and saw how red and angry it was. Bonnie knew she should probably call Daddy or even Angelo to tell them about her injury, but she didn”t want to bother them. Daddy seemed busy with things, at least he always said he was, and Angelo was the doctor. No doubt he was busy.

Bonnie laid her head down on the floor and held her hand to her chest. Maybe it would stop hurting after a couple more minutes. The longer it hurt, the more she wanted to puke and pass out.

Tears were still streaming down her face as she laid on the floor. Even if she wanted to call Daddy, she didn”t think she would have the strength to get back up and find her phone. Had she left it in the living room or had she brought it back in the kitchen with her? But it didn”t matter right now. Bonnie just needed to survive with this until the pain subsided or someone came to the house.

Bonnie closed her eyes tightly. Her vision was still wonky and going black around the edges, almost like she was about to pass out. Maybe it would be better for her to pass out than feel the pain right now. But at the same time, she didn”t want to pass out. What if something happened to her?

Before she could think or do anything else, she felt herself slowly drifting away and passing out.
