Chapter 10

When I woke up I called for Nick but he didn't answer. I yelled louder but still, nothing.

"Would you be quiet woman? You're going to wake the whole house up."

I turned to see V in my room slowly walking towards me with no shirt and lust filled eyes.

Instead of feeling fear I just smiled at him as I got off the bed.

I walked slowly towards him before we stood mere inches from each other.

I ran my right hand up from his belly button to his chest, resting it right above his right nipple.

"Why don't you make me?"

He growled at me as he crashed his lips down onto mine.

He quickly picked me up to even our height and took me over to the bed.

He placed me down gently while kissing me rough and passionately.

I ran my hands through his silky hair before I grabbed a handful and pulled.

He smirked against my lips before he pulled away looking down at me.

"Take your shirt off."

I tried to sit up but found it difficult with V sitting down on my thighs. I leaned up enough to get my shirt off and laid back smiling up at him. He slowly maneuvered himself so that I could sit under him and I somehow knew exactly what he wanted me to do.

I sat up and pull on his belt to get his pants off. As soon as I sprung the button free on his jeans he flipped me back onto the bed.

I shot up from my bed and looked to the side of me.

He wasn't there. I reached out my hand and felt it was ice cold.

I took in a deep breath and sighed in relief.

It was just a dream. But why was I having dreams about V?

I'm just going to blame all the sex talks my mom has been given me the last few months.

"Cassie. He will be here in 2 hours."

Today was the day that I had to leave with V. I already had my bag packed and I could only wait anxiously for my doom.

I walked down into my dad's office. I was glad to see that Leo and Nick already in the room. We had a lot to discuss before I left. Leo would be taking my place as co-beta.

"Hey Cassie." He tried to give me a genuine smile but you could see the sadness.

"Yeah, yeah. You'll miss me. Tell me something I don't know. So should we get to work?" The boys exchanged a look before shrugging and joining me at the furniture our dad had in his office.

"You don't have to worry about the basics. Tell him what's currently in motion so when I teach him the basics he isn't lost." I nodded at my brother before turning to Leo.

"Well then, where to start." I tapped my finger on my chin in thought.

I really had no idea where to start. Do I start with the treaties that we are currently in talks about, recruitment for the new warriors, my plans to form a group whose sole purpose is rogue control, or the training program for the upcoming spring? Got it. That's what I will start with.

"So Leo, you and Nick need to study the new training regime that I came up with, since you know, I won." A cocky smirk played on my lips as Nick rolled his eyes in mock annoyance. I loved to remind them that Alexandra totally kicked butt at the warrior testing.

"You train in the spring? That isn't very smart, now is it?" The hairs on the back of my neck rose.

He was early. Hoping that I did an amazing job at concealing my fear I turned around to see the man that was in my dreams last night standing right in front of me.

He wore his usual tight black long sleeve and black cargo pants.

He was leaning in the door frame, arms crossed and glaring at Leo and Nick.

"You're early."

His eyes quickly darted to mine. It was like he doused me in cold water. My whole body shivered from the look he gave me.

"What were you talking about?" He uncrossed his arms as he slowly walked towards me.

I felt like I was in my dream, except he was advancing on me. My breathing stopped as I watched him like you would a dangerous animal.

"She was just passing her duties off to the beta replacing her." V looked at Leo before he sneered and continued walking to me.

Before I could process what was going on, V had already thrown me over his shoulder. I squealed in surprise as he carried me out of my dad's office. I expected him to stop and put me down but he didn't He went straight to our front door and walked out.

"Put me down!" I started beating on his back. I wasn't going to let him take me away without saying good bye to everyone.

He placed me down with a bewildered look and I quickly ran for the door. I knew he was closely behind me but I kept running anyways.

I went into the kitchen and ran right into Nick, wrapping my arms around him. I let the tears just fall as I hugged my brother for what might be the last time. He rubbed my head to try and soothe me, but it didn't work.

I heard as my parents came into the kitchen as well.

I cleared my throat as I finally let go of my hold on Nick and slowly made my way to my mom who was waiting with open arms. I gave her a hug and she squeezed me back tightly.

When we pulled away I could see the tears she was holding back, which only brought my own tears back.

I hugged my father next and forgot about all the arguments and disagreements we ever had, just wishing I had more time to be his personal pain in the butt. After I let go of my father and turned to V. I still couldn't speak and only nodded in his direction.

He just turned and walked out of the kitchen and I followed after. I heard a sob escape my mom as it became real that I was leaving. I had to get out of the house quicker to prevent another round of tears from coming.

Outside V was already in his Suburban waiting for me. I went to the passenger side and climbed in. As we pulled away, I waved to my family who had come outside to see me off. Soon they were no longer in view as we continued to V's territory.

After what seemed like hours of torturous silence I turned to face V. He had pushed up the sleeves of his black shirt. I couldn't help but stare at the tattoos on his arms. I've never seen a werewolf with tattoos. I've seen plenty of humans, but never a werewolf.

"V." He shifted his gaze to me in an instant and I lost my nerve to ask him. It didn't help that he wasn't paying any attention to the road. Does he know how dangerous that is?

Finally he looked straight again and I took a deep breath. I don't think I will ever get used to him looking at me. I turned my head to look out the window as we continued driving to some far off location.

"What did you want?" I quickly turned to him but was relieved to see him still looking at the road. "Well?" He seemed to be getting impatient waiting for me to answer.

"I just wanted to know about your tattoos. I never saw them before." He smirked in a sinister way before switching his driving hands.

"That's odd. I'm pretty sure your uncle and cousin in Hungary have some as well." I looked at him with my mouth wide open. How does he know about my uncle and Derrick?

"Well they don't. I never saw them." I crossed my arms as I stared straight ahead like he did. He huffed at me. "Doesn't mean they don't have them."

I turned to argue but stopped when the car slowly came to a stop. "Get out." V barked at me before he got out of the car.

I blinked a few times confused before I got out of the car. I realized that he had left me and was already going through a door. I quickly ran after him and stopped after I got inside.

The place was huge!! Even our pack house wasn't this big. Of course his pack was easily 20 times bigger than ours, but still. Marble floors, vaulted ceilings with plaster designs, who would have pegged him as the interior decorator type?

"Our Luna has finally arrived. I'm Brett, pack Beta." Brett held his hand out to me and I shook it apprehensively. As soon as I shook his hand I calmed realizing that he wasn't that bad.

I quickly gave him a look as I thought he was apologizing to me. Thing was he wasn't talking. Then I was thrown over his shoulder and taken up the stairs. What is it with these Night Stalker boys throwing girls over their shoulders? Have they ever heard of asking?

He opened a door and placed me down before he just stood there in front of me. I turned around to look and saw a very dark room. I looked around before Brett turned on the light for me. The room was nice, huge, but nice.

It seemed like more of a masculine room with the dark color scheme. The bed had black and white bedding with a dark brown headboard, the various pieces of furniture were a dark grey, and the hardwood floors were darker than the headboard.

Straight across from the bed were two sets of black French doors that I assumed led to a balcony while to the right of the bed was a very exposed bathroom. There was only a half wall that looked similar to shutters.

I turned back to look at Brett who seemed to be observing me.

When he noticed me looking at him he tried his hardest to look at anything but me.

"Umm...this is your room...if you need anything, ugh.

..just press 4 on the phone and tell them.

They'll bring it right up." Before I could ask any questions he closed the door leaving me in the new room all alone.

My curiosity got the better of me as I finally started to explore the room. I was right about the French doors. They led to a great wrap around balcony. From the balcony I saw the pool that was in the backyard and made a mental note to go swimming when it got warmer.

Back inside I slowly made my way to the bathroom and gaped in awe. The shower I always wanted but never knew existed was right before me. It seemed way too complicated for me to work, but it looked like it would be a magical experience to shower in there.

There was one big shower head over your head with multiple mini shower heads all over the walls. There was a remote outside of the shower but I wasn't going to get in trouble for breaking anything. I'll just stick to taking baths.

The bath was just as great as the shower. I had a Jacuzzi tub back home but that had nothing on this tub. It was sunken into the ground and looked more like a spa Jacuzzi than a bathtub. I squealed in delight before I noticed a door past the tub. Wonder where that goes?

I walked to the door and debated whether or not I really wanted to go in there or not. I decided I should because what could be so bad in a bathroom? After I opened the door I completely freaked out. It was a closet and more than that, there were both men and women's clothes inside.

Whose room did Brett bring me to? I didn't want to run into any of my new pack members because I was in their room. I quickly went to the door and groaned. What do I do now? I'm pretty sure he locked me in.

I paced back and forth for a few minutes before I decided to at least try the door. To my surprise it was unlocked. I quickly ran out of the room and back to the foyer I was at before Brett dragged me away. I looked around, looking for any clue as to where V or Brett was.

I heard a low grumble and followed the noise. When I stopped at the door in question, I froze. I just knew V was behind the door. When his scent filled my nose, I knew for sure that I was right. I gave myself a little pep talk in my head to get the nerves to knock.
