“Ican’t believe this is our standing date now.” Andi plops down in the seat next to me, shuffling her concession stand goodies around. “Free seats, junk food, and watching our guys kick some ass.”

“We’re certainly living the life,” I agree, and pop an M close enough to be a part of the music and dancing, but far enough away that we’re not constantly bumping into people.

His hands tug my waist closer to him, and I’m momentarily stunned by how well we fit together.

The music thrums, and I swear it’s matching my heartbeat, pumping the alcohol and lust through my veins.

The lights flash, and I squeeze my eyes shut, swaying to the rhythm of the beat with Benji following suit, moving in sync behind me.

His hands shift on my waist, moving under the hem of the jersey, and a thumb dips into my waistband.

My breath stutters at the simple movement, and I swear he notices, because I hear him chuckle at my ear, sending my hair fluttering.

“You look so fucking good in my jersey,” he whispers, running his thumb along the waist of my jeans, dipping low enough to trace the lace of my panties. “I bet you’d taste even better right now.”

I whimper and force myself to turn around in his arms, trying to clear my thoughts. “What are you doing?” I want the words to sound forceful, but desire has my voice unsteady and hoarse. I’m completely off-kilter, and he grins as he sees it.

“Just having a little fun with my girl,” he says, and then his face transforms into the picture of innocence. “But I can behave if you need me to.”

I nod, attempting seriousness, even as I’m left reeling from the way he said my girl so matter-of-factly. “We’re in public. And I’d hate to traumatize your rookie. He’s having such a great night.”

We both look over to where Ryan is on the dance floor.

He’s got at least three women surrounding him, all moving in a way that suggests they wouldn’t mind being his dance partner for the rest of the night.

He looks ecstatic, if somewhat oblivious, and it’s clear from the way he’s moving that if he doesn’t stop drinking, he’ll be spending the night in the bathroom rather than the bedroom.

Benji clucks his tongue sympathetically. “Poor guy is going to wish he remembered tonight.”

I let out a loud snort that dissolves into laughter, my own inebriation making me giddy at the thought of Ryan’s drunkenness. Benji tugs me a little closer, grinning down at me. His smile is so genuine, so tender, and all I can think about is how much I want to kiss his gorgeous face.

So I do.
