Epilogue
FOUR MONTHS LATER . . .
Iam so fucking late. If I thought Lauren was bad at scolding me for tardiness, I was wrong.
Those three assholes will have my head and then kiss it better.
I didn’t mean to be late. I just got distracted at Reacher’s, kicking the new guy’s ass.
By the time I realized what time it was, it was an hour later than I was supposed to leave.
I shoved on my dress and heels and jumped into the Lamborghini I stole from the garage this morning.
They say I have access to everything. Hell, they keep filling the garage with new toys for me to play with, but I think they know I like to steal them more, so they started hiding them.
This is Neo’s brand-new car, but when I looked at the key, I saw it was pink with hearts saying, “Bite me,” so I know he got it for me.
The cute idiot.
Speeding up, I run a red light. It’s our anniversary.
I’m not big on that stuff, but apparently they are and I have no choice.
They wouldn’t tell me what we are doing, wanting to surprise me, but I know it’s important to them, and I don’t want to upset them, so I drive as fast as I can.
Taylor and Lauren worked so hard to pick my outfit, so I know they would be angry too.
They have backup now when they are mad at me, and having the entire family glaring at me in disapproval is not the way I want to spend my night.
I’ll just have to fuck their brains out until they forget they are mad.
Swerving through traffic, I wave at the police car. They know better than to stop me or the Sai brothers. I’m forced to slam on the brakes, however, when a dark Mercedes slides into my lane at the last second. Something familiar about it bothers me until I remember . . .
“You’ve got to be kidding me.” I slam on the horn, but he ignores me, and when the light turns green, he doesn’t move. He waits for it to turn yellow then shoots off.
The idiot picked the wrong bitch. I speed after him and easily catch him.
This time, I block him and leave the car running as I get out.
I stride toward him in my knee-length black dress.
The split allows me to move fast, and the lace edge slides across my skin like a snake.
I know I look good, and I’m betting I won’t even make it through appetizers before they have their mouths on me.
The man in the Mercedes sees me coming, his eyes widening, and I chuckle.
It’s the same idiot from all those months ago when I was on my way to pick Lauren up from Tommy’s birthday party. Talk about serendipity.
I raise my hand to knock on his window, and the light catches on the rock on my finger.
The diamond ring they bought me is beautiful, but I hardly ever wear it.
It’s not practical, but I can’t take this one off.
It’s dainty and gold, with the letter S entwined with a K for Sai and Karma.
It’s ornate, like their family crest, and inlaid with small diamonds that make it sparkle.
Glaring down at the ring, I barely feel the small spikes that dig into my skin, meaning I’m unable to remove it since they knew I would try to.
I blame them. I was distracted by dick when they put it on.
We aren’t married per se, but to them, we are.
It means the world is even more afraid of me than before.
They all know I hold the leashes of the three Sai brothers.
When the man continues to ignore me, I roll my eyes. “I don’t have time for this.”
I smash my fist into his window. It shatters as he screams, taking cover as I reach in.
“The police won’t save you this time.” I grin at him. “You’re just lucky I’m late and in a good mood since it’s my anniversary. Next time, I’ll kill you.” I steal his key and jump back in my car and rush off, leaving him stranded.
I make it to the address ten minutes later. Frowning, I climb from the car and walk across the gravel toward the red carpet leading to a yacht, which has the name “Karma” proudly painted on the side. “Hello?” I step through the sliding door, confused. It’s empty and dark.
Candles explode to life, and I turn in shock as all three familiar men appear from the shadows.
Neo is carrying the biggest bouquet of flowers I have ever seen, and he struggles to carry it.
Kane has a glass in his hand, which he offers to me, and Zayn has a bag.
He places it on the table, which is sprinkled with rose petals. Soft music fills the air.
“Well?” Neo asks nervously. “Happy anniversary.”
“Do you like it?” Zayn asks excitedly.
“My feet hurt,” I admit, which makes them laugh, but I yelp when Kane lifts me effortlessly.
Neo and Zayn lower to their knees, and within seconds, they pull off my heels.
Their hands stroke my legs and feet before Kane kicks off his shoes, and they help me into them. They are too big but so much comfier.
“Better?” he asks.
“Better,” I whisper, and he grins, kissing me.
“Open your presents, hellion.” I move away from them and open the black bag, and my eyes widen as it rolls out like a mat. There are blades, guns, and everything a girl could need for a hunt, all in black and pink, with elaborate silver Ks engraved on them.
They bought me weapons.
That’s so hot.
“I love them,” I whisper as I stroke the handle of a wicked knife. “I only got you me as your present.”
“Better than any gift you could give us,” Zayn whispers into my ear as I shiver.
“So we’re dining on a yacht?” I ask curiously, changing the subject before I tackle them.
“Your yacht, with all your favorite foods, and then after, the crew will lock themselves in the bridge, and we are going to hunt you through the boat,” Neo teases with a grin.
My eyes light up, and they chuckle. “Exactly.” Zayn grins. “You better hide well.”
“Hide? I don’t hide, but I’ll make you regret hunting me,” I retort.
“Never,” Neo murmurs as he kisses my hand. “Now do your worst, Karma.”
Stepping back, I grin, sliding my hand down my chest. All three watch the movement, their eyes filled with liquid fire and hunger. The same desire pools within me, not for food, but for them. “Why wait?”
I can’t help but laugh as they lunge toward me.
We don’t bother waiting for food, none of us having the patience.
Kane sends up a message, and I grab one of the new guns on the table and take off, leaving Kane’s shoes behind as I race through the boat.
I break out to the top deck, and just as I do, fireworks explode on shore in our colors.
I know it’s for me. Excitement fills me as I hear them coming for me.
The chase is beginning, but they should have known better. Clutching the gun, I turn and slip into the boat to hunt them.
I’m their karma, after all.
