Epilogue
KILLA
Watching Cass with my family fills my chest with pride.
We’ve been through a lot in such a short span of time, and while I’m still holding out hope for my sister, I can’t deny her absence has brought me something I can never repay her for.
I only hope one day she gets to meet Cass and our kids. She’d make the perfect auntie.
The music stops, but the chaos around us continues, and when Savage jumps up onto the pool table, it pulls my attention his way. My spine bolts straight as he stares at me as if seeing into my soul.
He holds a cut in one hand and a beer bottle in the other.
“Shut the fuck up!” he bellows, and the room falls silent. “Got somethin’ I wanna say.” He scans the room, and his gaze settles on Cass. “Killa, Cass, get over here.”
I push off the wall and meet Cass halfway, entwining our fingers, then I lead her to the pool table. Her cheeks glow crimson at all eyes on her, and I grin and gift her with a kiss on her head.
“These two have been through hell.” Savage points down at us.
“But now Killa has put a ring on Cass’s finger, a baby in her belly, it’s time we made it official.
Here’s your cut, darlin’.” He grins broadly, then throws it in my direction, and I catch it.
I take a hold of Cass’s arms and guide them through the cut.
“To Killa and Cass, Unholy to the core!” he declares.
“To Killa and Cass, Unholy to the core!” the room echoes, and the floorboards vibrate with the heavy cheers of my brothers, our family.
Our hate may have brought us together, but it’s our love that will bind us for an eternity.
