Cassidy
I swirl my straw around my mocktail while taking in the chaos of the room from where I sit at the bar.
Killa grins back at me from the pool table, his eyes travel down my body, and I can feel his insatiable hunger for me from over here.
Then he rakes his tongue over his teeth, as if hearing my thoughts, sending a flurry of goosebumps over my skin.
The intensity behind his stare is full of promise, one that tells me my throat is going to be raw from screaming his name.
“Jesus, that look he gives you. It’s like he wants to devour you whole,” Stella says from behind the bar, and I reluctantly pull my attention away from my husband.
She wafts her hand in front of her face, making me giggle.
“I never would have thought Killa would settle down.” Her eyes meet mine. “Ever,” she tacks on.
A loud laugh booms from Savage, and I turn just in time to witness Winnie pinning a prospect to the floor. The poor guy is terrified while Winnie looks like she’s simply playing, her tail swaying from side to side.
“I wonder who will be next.” Stella taps her finger on her chin, but she delivers her words with a playful tone.
“Maybe Morgue. He’s quiet. He seems settled already, so maybe he’ll slip into the family life easier than some of the others.
” I stare over at the man currently glaring at the wall like it offended him in some way.
I can’t help but respect a guy who doesn’t show the least bit of interest in the club whores and what they’re offering so freely.
Which, let’s be honest, is anything. I grimace when I consider Killa has been with these women, then I quickly shove the thought aside, unwilling to go there.
“Nooo, definitely not Morgue. He has too many issues. I’ve never once known him with a woman, a man either. The guys say he shows zero interest in sex,” Stella asserts.
“Oh.” I can’t help but feel bad for the guy, especially since Killa has shown me how incredible sex can be.
“Well, what about Abs.” I point to the youngest member of the club.
Stella tilts her head. “Doubtful, he has issues. Although, he refuses to touch the club whores since his mama was one. He has a good head on his shoulders. I was kind of hoping he wouldn’t settle into the MC lifestyle, but…” She shrugs, and her words trail off.
“How about Malice?” He seems quiet.
Stella snorts. “He’s not quiet; he’s angry and full of venom. His ex-girlfriend did a real number on him. She cheated. There’s no chance of him settling down, trust me.”
My eyes scan over Raider. He’s dark and mysterious and the bad-boy vibe radiates from him. “Raider?” I suggest, intrigued to hear what she has to say about him.
“Hell no, that man has secrets. Besides, I think his family is even more deadly than mine.”
My eyebrows shoot up. “Really?”
“Yep.” She pops the P. “He calls on them every now and again, and Savage worries one day they’ll do the same to him.”
“You mean they’ll ask the club for help?”
“Yeah, or just Raider.” She shrugs. “Either way, Savage hates being in debt to anyone.”
“I can appreciate where he’s coming from,” I state. The lack of control feeling indebted brings is something I have personal experience with and loathe.
Unprepared to go back in time, I give my head a shake and continue on with the fun little rundown of the members Stella provides. “What about Venom?”
She laughs, and I follow suit. “The guy can barely string a sentence together. How’s he going to communicate with a woman?” She lifts her eyebrow.
“I think he’d dickmatize them. Have you seen his?” I widen my eyes at Stella, and she throws her head back on a wild laugh that draws attention in our direction.
“There’s only certain girls that will go near him.” Stella grins. “I’ve seen it, way too often when he jerks off over there.” She points toward the corner of the room. “You can’t miss it, even from over here.”
I choke on my mocktail and swipe at the corner of my mouth.
“Have you, you know?” I tilt my head toward the room but steer my eyes away from Dagger, who’s currently fucking one of the women against the wall.
“Been with any of them?” She wrinkles her nose. “Hell no, I have standards.” Then she winces. “Sorry. No offense.”
A loud giggle leaves me.
“Nope, I’ve never, nor would I ever, fuck a biker.” She beams back at me with pride.
Venom releases a loud roar, then slams Slash’s fist down on the table, causing drinks to spill everywhere.
“They’re very hot,” I mumble.
“They are, but I’ve witnessed most of them grow up. When I call them my brothers, I mean it.”
I nod. “That’s very unfortunate for you, but I understand.”
“Understand what?” Killa says, appearing at my side like he knew what we were discussing.
“That I don’t think any of the brothers will fall like you.” Stella is quick to reply, and the mirth in her eyes has my heart swelling. She truly is a friend—no, scrap that, she’s family.
They all are.
