(Knox's POV is safe)

Grunting in annoyance yet again, I tossed my controller to the end of my bed as I lost another round of UFC.

While I normally would go to Liam's house after school, Fridays were the only time I could live in my own house peacefully so I tried to take advantage of it as often as I could. It just wasn't hitting the same today though.

I would've liked to have brought Annie with me, showing her around my house for the first time without any interference from my nosy parents, but she went out with Clarissa instead.

I was trying not to be annoyed about it.

I really am glad that she gets along with her so well but at the same time, I didn't have to be happy about it taking away my own personal time with her.

I frowned to myself as I checked my phone again. Not a single text from Annie. I knew she would be distracted by the chaos of the mall but I would've thought she would make sure to text me by now.

I tried to suppress the unease that was growing in the pit of my stomach.

A second later, my screen lit up with an unknown number. Normally I would ignore a random call but with the lack of communication from Annie, I couldn't help feeling a bit paranoid.

"What," I answered gruffly, my irritation growing by the second.

"Knox, oh my gosh, thank goodness you answered," Clarissa's breathless voice met my ears.

In an instant, I sat up on my bed, my eyes already searching my room for where I left my shoes. If Clarissa was calling me instead of my girl, I knew something had to be really wrong.

"We-we were at the food court and Annie went to find us a table but she never texted me her order so I came looking for her and found our stuff just sitting here with no sign of her," Clarissa rushed out, panic eating her every word.

I slid my shoes on, stuffing my wallet in pocket before snatching my keys off my desk.

"You checked the bathroom and around the food court," I asked, hoping this had to just be a misunderstanding.

"Yes, I looked everywhere but she's not answering her phone. Do you have her location," She asked, voice cracking towards the end of her question.

"Yeah, I'll find her. Just head back to Liam's and don't worry about it," I replied before ending the call and sliding into my waiting car.

I cried out as Calvin shoved me into the backseat of a car before sliding in behind me. Tyler took the driver's seat, wasting no time pulling out of parking lot and onto the main road.

"I don't understand," I cried, trying to shove Calvin away from me.

Calvin rolled his eyes, a sick smirk pulling at his mouth, "Since we have some time, I guess a little back story doesn't hurt," he laughed before yanking me back against his side.

"Tyler's mom does a lot of charity work for the larger city - including outreach. I was a troubled youth in need of some help," Calvin laughed, his tone mocking as he finished his last sentence.

"Since somebody went and got me in trouble, I was put in contact with her.

She brought Tyler to all of our appointments and we got along so well, she helped me out with the judge.

She didn't know what I did, of course, but imagine my surprise when Tyler texts me about a new girl in town named Annie.

Naturally I had to come see you for myself," Calvin winked, his hold tightening to an almost bruising level.

My body nearly flew forward as Tyler stopped the car, having pulled into a random spot at a deserted park.

"B-but w-why," I begun crying harder, realizing nobody would be here to save me from whatever heinous plans Calvin had in mind.

Tyler stepped out of the car, slamming the door behind him as he walked off towards a bench.

I yelped as Calvin shoved me down, my back hitting the seat painfully.

"Because I never got to finish what I started, Annie, and I always get what I want," Calvin whispered, leaning over my face.

I shuddered as his hands slid down the side of my body, making me choke on a dry sob. I couldn't believe this was happening again. Right as I was starting to feel like I was doing so much better. Now he was going to ruin me for sure.

"Shut up," Calvin ground out.

Raising his hand, a loud slap echoed in my ears. I tried to stifle my loud cries as an intense burn blossomed across my face.

"Crying about it won't make this any easier, Annie," Calvin spat.

Bringing my hands up to my face, I choked on my tears as I felt him slowly lifting up my shirt. His cold hands met my stomach, making me cringe away as much as I could.

"This time I'm gonna take my time enjoying you. Then Tyler can have you to himself when I'm done," Calvin laughed. His greedy fingers pulled at my jean skort, struggling to bring them down.

I whimpered, squirming around as much as I could in an effort to make my undressing as difficult as possible.

I could feel Calvin's frustration building again but instead of taking it out on me, he brought his lips to my bare stomach. Licking and kissing his way up towards my bra. I pushed against his head, trying to fight him off through my blurry vision.

I raced through the streets as I followed Annie's location across town. I was worried whoever had her would take her too far but I was grateful when her dot stopped moving.

Pulling up to a small park in the middle of sketchy neighborhood on the outskirts of town, I saw a single car parked in the corner. I nearly crashed into them from how quickly I raced over before throwing my car in park and hoping out.

I nearly blacked out when I wrenched the car door open and saw some random fucker on top of my innocent little Annie.

"I'll fucking kill you," I ground out, yanking him right off her her before sending him flying back onto the ground.

Picking him up by his shirt, I slammed him back down against the pavement over and over before sending a few punches straight to his face. Thick, warm blood was pouring from his face and head in multiple places, coating my hands and splattering on my shirt but I wasn't done.

I couldn't be done.

Anybody who could do this to my perfect girl deserved to rot in hell and I wanted to send him there myself. And I was going to too until I heard a small whimper coming from the car.

Dropping my hold on the now passed out guy, I turned around to see Annie slowly sitting up, her shirt falling back down into place.

Forgetting about my bloody hands, I didn't waste another second before taking her into my arms. Looking back down at the unconscious guy, I kicked him one last time before getting into my car with Annie on my lap and peeling out of the parking lot.
