8. Lochlan

Lochlan

The plan turned out to be trickier than expected.

Not coming up with one but agreeing on one.

My idea had been to pay Gareth a little visit. I wasn’t a violent person, far from it. Yes, my powers were considerable, but to me it was just another skill like being able to cook or dance. It wasn’t something I liked to utilise unless needed.

For Ash, though, I’d do it without question. All I needed was five minutes alone with his fucker of an ex, and I could guarantee he wouldn’t bother Ash again.

However, Ash wasn’t a fan of this plan. I was beginning to see that he wasn’t keen on confrontation, which was probably why he’d stayed with Gareth for so long in the first place.

Ash’s idea was to change his phone number and not do anything unless Gareth forced our hand.

Needless to say, I was one hundred percent against this plan. Unlike Ash, I didn’t think Gareth was going to go away of his own accord, especially after Ash had let me read through the rest of the messages.

It was almost chilling to see how Gareth was unwinding as time went on. The more Ash ignored him, the more threatening he became.

So no. I wasn’t about to sit and wait to see what happened next. Not when Ash was potentially in danger.

Equally, I wouldn’t go against Ash’s wishes…which put us at an inconvenient impasse.

After a lot of discussion, we met in the middle.

Ash sent Gareth a message telling him in no uncertain terms that he was involved with someone else and not to contact him again. That was fine, but to make matters clear, I followed it up with my own message.

This is Lochlan, the ‘someone else’ he’s involved with.

If you threaten Ash again or continue to stalk him, I’ll be paying you a personal visit.

From what Ash’s told me, you don’t like being the least powerful supe in the room.

Trust me when I tell you that I have no problem showing you just how insignificant your powers are compared to mine.

Okay, so it was a bit arrogant, but I meant it.

If Gareth continued to fuck around, he was going to find out.

Ash had rolled his eyes but let me hit send anyway. “Maybe he’ll back off now.”

“Maybe.” Yeah, there was no way. Everything Ash had told me about Gareth suggested he wasn’t going to fuck off without a fight.

It was just a matter of when it’d happen.

I knew Ash was capable of handling himself if Gareth did make the moronic mistake of getting physical, but I was still worried. What if he caught him off guard?

To try and ease my fears, I added several layers of wards around Ash’s house and work. He already had some, of course, but Gareth wouldn’t be familiar with my signature. Hopefully it’d be enough to slow him down until I got there.

With Ash’s permission, I also reached out to Cassie to see if she could help. Turned out she was more than happy to provide some assistance. Apparently she’d been waiting for the go-ahead from Ash to throw some curses at the fucker.

It’d take her a week or so to come up with something that we could use to force him to stay away. In the meantime, I just had to hope he wouldn’t show his face. And that if he did, we’d be able to handle it.

I wasn’t letting him hurt Ash. He might not have ever raised a hand to him, but the emotional trauma he’d put him through had left deep scars.

I wouldn’t let him add anymore. Not while I was still breathing.

It was a couple of days later and I was humming as I approached Ash’s door.

He’d broached the subject of us exchanging keys yesterday. I’d been so touched by the gesture, so moved by the fact that Ash was as into this as I was, that I’d been robbed of the ability to speak. Again.

Instead, I’d gone to my knees and used my mouth to show him my feelings in other ways.

This was the first time I was using it, and I couldn’t deny the satisfied thrill that zipped through me as I opened the door.

But that sensation went away as an eerie silence met me.

Dropping my bag, I walked deeper into the house. “Ash?”

Nothing. My power zipped from me, searching him out.

Upstairs.

Something had to be wrong. In the time I’d known Ash, I’d never known him to be quiet or still.

He’s probably asleep, I reassured myself as I took the stairs two at a time.

But what if he isn’t…what if Gareth crossed your wards without you realising and…

I skidded to a halt in front of Ash’s open bedroom door. Relief slammed into me so hard that my knees went weak.

Ash was in bed but not asleep. No, he was reclined against his pillows, a pair of headphones over his ears, and a kindle in his hands.

So he was the man who never stopped…unless he was reading.

Fuck, just when I thought I couldn’t fall for him anymore, he turned around and made it happen anyway.

Sneaking up beside him, I snagged the headphones off his ears and kissed his head. “Hey.”

“Fuck me!” Ash jumped a foot in the air before glaring at me. “You scared me.”

“Maybe you shouldn’t be wearing noise cancelling earphones with everything that’s going on…”

Ash didn’t reply, his gaze fixed on my lower half and mouth agape.

Puzzled, I glanced down to see what had captured his attention. It’d been surprisingly warm this morning so I’d gone for my kilt instead of trousers.

When you got to my age, you didn’t really care so much about fashion. I liked wearing kilts just not during winter. I may be Scottish, but even I had my limits.

I gave Ash an amused smile. “You okay there?”

He swallowed a couple of times before he managed to squeak his words out. “You’re wearing a kilt.”

“Aye,” I replied in bemusement. “So I am.”

He fingered the material, the kindle now forgotten on the bed. “And are you um…”

I bit the inside of my cheek to hold back my laughter. “Am I naked under here?”

His head bobbed so fast I worried it might fall off. Stepping closer to him, I leaned down and whispered huskily in his ear. “Why don’t ye find out?”

Ash’s hands slid up the back of my thighs. When he hit my bare cheeks, he gave a guttural groan. “Fuck, Lochlan. You can’t do this to me. How am I supposed to cope knowing you’re walking around like this? I just want to bend you over and fuck you while you’re wearing it.”

My cock was now tenting the material by Ash’s face. “I’m on board for just that.”

Ash’s hands froze. “Really? You mean it?”

I hadn’t bottomed for Ash yet. Whenever we’d been fooling around, he’d insisted on me fucking him. I’d thought maybe he’d changed his mind, but perhaps this was a case of miscommunication. “Really. I’m dying to feel ye inside me. But only if you want to.”

“Fuck yes,” he scrambled to get up but, in his haste, managed to get tangled in the duvet.

I caught him with a chuckle before he could face plant on the floor. “Easy, tiger.”

“It’s your fault,” he said, his cheeks a similar shade to his hair. “You can’t tell me I can fuck you while you’re wearing a kilt and expect me to not get excited.”

“I’m not,” I reassured him, my hands going under his shirt to tweak his nipples. “I like ye excited.”

“This bodes well for me as I’m going to be very excited when I get inside you,” his finger was stroking over my hole. “Meaning I’m going to last like thirty seconds.”

“That’s okay. Trust me, bràmair, we’ll be repeating this. A lot.”

My chest tightened at the way Ash’s face lit up at that. “Thank you for trusting me.”

“It’s not just about trust,” I told him, brushing a strand of hair away from his face. “I want this. I want you.”

I descended on his mouth, my tongue hungrily seeking out his. Both his hands were up my kilt now, one on my cock. The other between my cheeks.

“On the bed,” he said after a few minutes of this. “I want you on your knees. Face down, arse up.”

“A classic,” I quipped, positioning myself as requested. A breeze hit my backside as Ash pushed my kilt up. My cock began to drip on the bedspread as I shivered. Fuck, there was something so hot about being fully dressed yet open to Ash.

He nudged my thighs further apart, using his hands to spread my cheeks. I was expecting to feel the coldness of the lube working me open.

Instead, it was the heat of Ash’s tongue swiping over me.

“Fucking hell, Ash,” I groaned. “Yes. Give me more.”

Ash obliged, his tongue working me over until the muscle had softened enough to let him in.

I had no idea what sounds were coming out of my mouth as he started to fuck his tongue in and out of me. I imagine it was some combination of cursing mixed with praise for the wonder that was Ash’s tongue.

Fuck, if this was how good his tongue felt, his cock was going to destroy me.

Just when I couldn’t take it any longer, Ash grabbed the lube. He finished stretching me with his fingers, seeking out my prostate until I was incoherent once again.

“You fibbed to me,” I panted over my shoulder as he pulled his fingers out and replaced them with the head of his cock. “You made me think you hadn’t done this much.”

Ash gave me a small smile, his own chest heaving as he pushed inside me. “I said I didn’t top often. Not that I wasn’t good at it.”

He continued to slide deeper and my toes curled. I’d been right. That curve to his shaft was in the perfect place to hit my prostate.

“You okay?” He breathed when he was fully seated.

Words were impossible when he was making me feel this way. Instead, I answered him by easing forward and slamming back.

Ash got the hint. Rucking the material of my kilt in his hands, he used it to hold me back against him as he fucked me relentlessly.

My cock was bouncing against my abdomen, leaving strings of pre-cum behind. Part of me wanted to reach down and stroke myself over the edge, but I couldn’t move.

I couldn’t do anything except lay with my face in the pillow, letting Ash ruin me.

“Bite?” Ash panted.

God yes. I nodded furiously, twisting my head to the side to give him access to my neck.

His fangs pierced my skin and the now familiar pleasure rolled over me. Then, to my surprise, my orgasm hit. For the first time ever, I came hands free, vision whiting out with the intensity.

Ash followed me, moaning against my neck as his tongue laved over his bite.

Once my pulse had slowed, I finally found my voice.

“Wow.”

“You’re telling me,” Ash said breathlessly. “I think you need to wear kilts more often.”

I smiled against the pillow. I’d wear them every damned day for Ash if he wanted me to.

Anything to keep feeling like this.
