Chapter 19 Luca

Luca

Lying in the darkness with Tor’s naked body against mine is the first time I’ve been able to relax since last night when I was last lying in the darkness with her naked body against mine. It doesn’t matter what I go through during the day as long as this is what I get come the night.

“When I leave on the next run, I’m going to leave King and the prospect here with you.”

“Before you say it, I’ll be careful, and I won’t make any unnecessary outings.”

I pull her on top of me, and she straddles me, leaning over to kiss my chest.

“Are we to expect regular visits from the cops?” she asks as I tangle my hand in her hair.

“It was the first and last time I let them in. No doubt they’ll be back but even if they come with a warrant, they’re not getting through our door.”

“Won’t that invite trouble you could do without?”

She presses her soft lips against my neck, and my dick has never been harder.

“I’m setting out how we’re seen right from the off. Soon enough they won’t want to come out this far.”

I roll on top of her and entwine my legs around hers.

“The brothers have been different today.”

Frowning, I ask, “You want to talk about those fuckers when I’m about to fuck you?”

“I’m tired as all Hell, after you work me over, I’ll be out for the count. I have to mention it now, or I’ll forget.”

I’m certain she’s not talking about being physically tired.

“I’ve given them something to focus on. Something that they can’t fuck up without severe consequences.”

“Your dad was right,” she purrs dragging her nails down my chest.

“Now we’re talking about my dad. What the fuck, babe?”

Her smile is teasing and my dick throbs. “I’m just saying, he was right about you. You were born to lead. You’re good at it.”

“We’ve only just begun, babe.” Grinning, I ask, “Are you ready for me?”

She bites down on her bottom lip and nods.

I thrust inside her and the rest of the day is forgotten.

“Who is he again?” I ask Maxwell.

“I used to go to school with him. He’s good. He’s done most of my work.”

I admit, Max’s tattoos are good. His friend has set up a workstation in the corner of the bar and he’s working on King’s back. Max goes over to him and mocks slapping him, laughing his head off. Leaving them to it, I head out the back and call my dad. It rings out but he calls me back instantly.

“What’s up, son?”

“Fuck, I don’t know where to start this week.”

“It’s like that, huh?”

I snort. “Yeah. We know who’s taking shots at us. Hades Hogs. They took shots at King and the prospect yesterday. They got a look at their patches.”

“Yet Ford didn’t see any patches when he was jumped?”

“No. Could be coincidental, or they covered up, not wanting us to know who they were yet. And after the shootout, we had a visit from the cops. I got rid of them, but they’ll be back.”

“Do you need Leo to send a couple of brothers to help out?”

I laugh. “Like fuck do I. I’ve got my chapter on it.”

“Still, let your brother know about the Hogs. They’re looking to be a problem for everyone. We should all be prepared.”

“I will.”

“Now, how’s my grandson doing?”

“He’s getting bigger every day. He’s good.”

“Your mom was planning to come stay for a few days, but I’ll hold her off until you’ve got shit settled.”

Little does my father know that my life in the city will most likely never be settled. I don’t plan on living that quietly.

“I’m leaving on a run in a few days, why don’t I send Tor and River to you guys?”

“Your mom would like that. Do you want me to come get her?”

I smile. “Yeah. That would make me feel better.”

“Let me know when and I’ll be there. I’ve gotta go.”

The call disconnects and I put my phone away in my pocket. I scan the windows on the empty warehouse and see no movement.

“One of your bikers is trying to fuck me.”

Glancing over my shoulder, I sigh.

Annabel.

“And?”

“Why would I open my legs for him when I’m waiting for you?”

My tolerance and patience have run dry. I don’t bother giving her an answer. I walk toward the back door when she calls out, “What is it about your wife that makes you so loyal?”

I turn and glare. “She’s the only one that matters, and I made a vow to her.”

“Men break their vows all the time.”

“Then they’re not men.” I take a step closer to her.

“I don’t know what’s wrong with you but something ain’t right in your head.

My brothers could ride a train through you and not one ounce of jealousy or desire would run through me.

I cannot state it clear enough that you are nothing to me.

You are a job my club will get paid for.

If you speak or even approach me again, I’ll forfeit the cash and give you to your father’s enemies myself. ”

This time, I turn and walk away and step inside the kitchen. She doesn’t follow, thank fuck, and I grit my teeth when I see King finishing up with his tattoo. Strolling over to the bar, I grab a beer and get King’s attention.

“Tighten the leash on the bitch out back.”

“What’s she done?”

Arching my brow, I say, “You’d know if you were out back with her like you’re supposed to be.”

“Sorry, Prez,” he says, holding his hands up.

Maxwell’s friend cleans the chair he brought with him and looks to be packing up.

“Hold on, one more.”

Rolling up my sleeves, I sit my ass in the chair.

The guy asks, “What are you wanting?”

I grin. “I want my wife’s name inked across my fingers.”

“Write it down and I’ll do it.”
