The drawings of the camp are clear. No matter how brief, they are complete, with detailed labels and solid borders. Iso intended them to be seen. She wanted them to be part of the accounting of that war.

She takes out her phone to look at the image she took on her first day in the archive.

It is hard to compare them; one is naked and one is clothed.

The nurse’s uniform obscures most of the detail that might identify the woman who wears it – but there is the narrow waist, the wide hips, and it is easy to imagine a generous bust.
