Chapter 54 Farewell
Farewell
Mads
Cadi’s new business completely takes over our lives.
In the best way. Her pregnancy doesn’t seem to slow her down.
She’s not even sick, but she does get tired in the afternoons, and Locke lies with her to nap.
Ro started hair school, but we found a good rhythm with our schedules.
She has even found time to help with the Soto Placement House.
She acted like it wasn’t something she wanted to be involved in, but the girl knows how to organize and get shit done.
Oscar turned down his position at the hospital and wrote a letter detailing the discrimination he faced, submitting it to the hospital and medical board.
Acadia’s family, her omega dad and alpha dad, the Nightingale clan, have given us all the funding they usually give to the Institute. It’s more than you can imagine.
It’s more than enough to open doors by the new year.
Oscar, Kol, and I have a pretty solid business plan encompassing everything Cadi wants.
Almost every night, we all sleep in the girls’ room on their giant bed.
Oscar says we shouldn’t see another heat until Cadi has the baby next summer.
Ro loved that. Kol is kind of sad. We make up for it, though.
Ro doesn’t like to be watched, so sometimes I take her into my room and leave them all to it.
She and I fuck for hours. I let her do all the exploring. I’m gentle with her.
She and Locke fought over who would fix my roots as my hair started growing out. In the end, Locke caved. It’s hard to resist a pouty little omega.
They’ve grown close, going to the same school. All the alphas are glad to have him with her while she’s there. I think it would have been a problem if he weren’t there with her.
Locke is a fantastic house alpha, even with spending 20 hours a week at the beauty and wellness school.
He’s so happy. When he’s home, all he wears is sweats and floral shirts. With his bare chest. It’s a great house alpha uniform.
Everyone is well fed.
Locke got two washers and dryers to do all our laundry. He keeps all our clothes in the laundry closet. It’s more like the size of a room. So when we need to change, we go there. It keeps our rooms clean. The omegas like it too, because it makes it easier to steal things.
The rabbit is usually in Ro’s arms. She named her Colette. She shortened the name to Cole. Human Kol is unhappy about that. But Ro is very smug about it.
I didn’t realize that’s how Locke sees her, with a rabbit. She had one for years in the old pack house. It was such a thoughtful gift.
My fish have started to arrive.
Kol lets me go on and on about them, but I can tell he isn’t retaining any information. But it’s nice he listens.
I invited my mom and her boyfriend over for dinner one night. He’s a really nice guy. Kind of boring, but she likes him. They brought the dog, and it was a fun night.
Honestly, everything is bliss. Locke makes me coffee every morning—dirty chai. Oscar and I have long talks in the garden. Cadi and I watch shows together when we aren’t working on the Soto Placement House.
Kol and I work together as partners.
He and Locke have been teasing a threesome with me. I’ve been daydreaming and planning how that would all go down. I have a lot of ideas…
