Chapter 136

Lucrezia

Inside The Hospital

Romeo and I drew our guns and raced up the stairwell as fast as we could.

It was a fucking slaughterhouse.

We passed three of our men on the steps – Guappo, Nasone, and Pelato.

Despite their bulletproof vests, they were dead. Two of them had been shot in the head.

On the third-story landing were several dead Cosa Nostra, their white shirts turned crimson.

The stairwell door was open and riddled with bullet holes.

Down in the lobby, I heard a gigantic CRASH of broken glass, followed by automatic gunfire.

Then nothing.

“They’re coming,” Romeo hissed.
