Chapter 6 The Bottle Falls
These past few days Second Young Master had quarreled with A-Yuan and kept me glued to his side, deliberately lingering near A-Yuan's place.
"A-Yuan, let me tell you—this Young Master can live perfectly fine without you!"
His mouth spat harsh words, but the hand holding mine nearly gouged my palm raw. Secretly he leaned against the wall and cried.
"Stinking man, actually saying I don't trust him, don't love him because of you."
"We've known each other for so many years—don't I know you? You're just my brother. In my eyes you're not a woman at all! How could I betray A-Yuan for you!"
I opened my mouth but couldn't refute for a moment.
You like men. Being "not a woman" in your eyes is actually more dangerous, isn't it?
And…
He actually quarreled with A-Yuan because he trusted me.
I gave a dry laugh and awkwardly comforted: "Maybe A-Yuan just lacks security."
He grew more agitated: "He said you must be rolling around with Lin Xi."
My hand holding his sleeve trembled.
Second Young Master continued: "A-Yuan also said you must have fallen for me but couldn't have me, so you treat Lin Xi as my substitute. During the day you stick to me under the pretense of cover. At night you hold Lin Xi and satisfy yourself with fantasies."
Fantasies my ass.
Goosebumps rose all over me. A-Yuan really lived up to coming from a Male Brothel—he knew how to spin stories.
I expressionlessly flung his sleeve away.
But I used too much force. The porcelain bottle in my sleeve rolled out and fell to the ground.
Four eyes stared at the bottle.
Second Young Master snatched it up: "What is this?"
"Aphrodisiac."
"Aphrodisiac?! So you really have designs on me!" Second Young Master clutched the bottle to his chest, glaring warily.
"I will absolutely never let you have me!"
I sighed tiredly and waved weakly: "Fine, fine. From then on I wouldn't treat Eldest Young Master as your substitute anymore."
"Go on. Fight at the headboard, make up at the footboard."
Second Young Master happily cradled the bottle and left.
I turned to head back to the residence, only to bump into a familiar figure I saw every day.
"E-Eldest Young Master."
"How are you here?"
