Chapter 22
Cobra wasn’t surprised when his brothers cornered him at Straw and Paula’s wedding reception. “You didn’t say you were bringing a date,” Cortez said, crossing his arms over his chest with a smile on his face.
“Does that mean you lost the bet?” Colton asked, with an even bigger smile.
Cobra looked from one brother to the other. “Let’s be clear about something. I don’t think I lost anything. In fact, I gained a whole lot more. And as far as the bet goes, if straying off-course with that bet means a lifetime with Desiree, I’ll proudly cash out every time.”
“Straying off-course?” Colton asked, chuckling, as if amused by Cobra’s choice of words.
“Yes. Desiree has a permanent key to that lock on my zipper, and I wouldn’t have it any other way. So yes, Tez, you will get those airline tickets, and Colt, you’ll get that trip to the Bahamas.”
“Should we feel bad about collecting?” Colton asked.
Cobra grinned. “Not at all. Desiree and I will be going to her best friend’s wedding in Paris in a few months, and while we’re there, we’re going to take a ten-day river cruise. What I’m losing to you two is insignificant compared to a lifetime of happiness with the woman I love.”
He was about to walk away when Cortez said, “Don’t forget, Cobra, I called it. Being the oldest has its advantages.”
Both Colton and Cobra simultaneously said, “Whatever.”
“Now I have to go claim my lady for a dance,” Cobra said. “I suggest the two of you find yours.”
Then he walked over to where Desiree was talking to his parents and his sisters-in-law, Victoria and Kelly. He had no doubt that his brothers would not be far behind him. They never strayed far from their wives, and Cobra understood. He was happiest when he was close to his woman, too.
At that moment, he was glad the Masters triplets weren’t masters of the game anymore. Now they were winners in the game of love.

Cobra opened the door to his home and stood aside as Desiree entered. “The wedding was beautiful, wasn’t it?” she said.
He thought she looked so damn good in that dress. It showed all her delectable curves. “Yes, it was a nice wedding. I’m happy for them.”
“I am, too. They’re nice. In fact, everyone I met was nice. And your parents are super.”
“Yes, I think I’ll keep them,” he grinned.
“You’d better. And have I told you how much I like your Savannah home?” she asked, glancing around.
He smiled as he closed the door and walked over to her. “I believe you have. A number of times, in fact. I’m glad you like it.”
“It’s so stately.”
“And you, my love, are so beautiful. I love the dress you’re wearing. I enjoyed watching you putting it on earlier, and I’m going to love taking it off of you now.”
“You think so, do you?” she said.
“Watch me.” Ignoring her shriek of laughter, he swept her into his arms and carried her up the stairs.”
“You don’t mess around, do you, Cobra?”
“Not when it’s something I want. And I want you. It was hard to keep my hands off you at the wedding. Now I don’t have to.”
They entered his bedroom, and he placed her on the bed.
More than ever, he was glad he had replaced the furniture in here.
He’d also had Tomb permanently disconnect the video cameras.
His friend had been surprised when he’d told him that he had ended the bet, but Cobra insisted he’d make it right by paying Straw the two hundred dollars Tomb would owe him.
Although the security business was doing extremely well, Tomb and his wife, Erica, had four little Tombstones under the age of seven.
When Desiree began removing her shoes, he walked over to her, sat down on the bed beside her, and said, “Let me.”
Placing her legs across his lap, he removed her shoes, though he couldn’t resist caressing her legs. He loved the smooth feel of them. He really wanted to get her out of her dress, but he had something important to do first. He got up from the bed, then knelt in front of her.
“Cobra? What are you doing?”
He smiled as he pulled a small white box from his tuxedo jacket.
Instead of answering her question, he asked one of his own.
“Allison Desiree Sharpe, will you make me the happiest man alive and become my wife? I asked Richard’s permission, and he said yes.
I promise I will do everything in my power to make you happy. ”
“Oh, Cobra,” she said. “Yes, I will marry you.” Tears sprang to her eyes when he slid the ring on her finger.
“It’s beautiful,” she said, gazing at it.
She threw her arms around him. “And I promise I will do everything I can to make you happy, as well.”
He believed her. Since the night they’d declared their love, his life had never been better. She made him happy. Extremely happy. Rising to his feet, he said. “Now to dispense with this dress.”
They undressed each other in record time, and then he put on a condom. He glanced over at her, knowing she had been watching his every move. “Just so you know. Before Richard would give his permission for me to marry you, I had to agree to one thing.”
Desiree lifted a brow, smiling. “Oh? And what one thing is that?”
“That we wouldn’t wait too long to give him a great-grandchild.”
“And you agreed to it?”
“Yes. I love kids, and I know that you do, too.”
She tilted her head. “And how do you know that?”
“By your interactions with Tomb’s four kids a few days ago. They didn’t seem to rattle you, and by the end of the evening, they were calling you Auntie Rae Rae.”
She threw her head back and laughed. “Of course they didn’t rattle me. I love kids. And I can’t wait to meet your nephew, Cornell. I bet he’s a cutie.”
“He is. Just like his Uncle Cobra.”
That made her laugh even more.
“Okay, Allison Desiree Sharpe, it’s time to get serious,” he said, joining her on the bed and pulling her into his arms for a kiss. He had to admit that his love for her started building right after their first kiss. Nothing had changed. He was still fascinated with her mouth.
Their passion built quickly. After tasting her mouth, then pampering her breasts and her clit with his tongue, he eased into position above her.
“Do you have any more orgasms left for this?” he asked. She’d had three already.
She smiled up at him. “There are plenty more where those came from, Cobra.”
He returned her smile. How lucky was he to have found a woman who took the art of multiple orgasms to an entirely new level? And to think, Aimery LeBlanc had claimed she was sexually inadequate. The guy didn’t know what he’d had. But Cobra did. And he was never letting her go.
He gazed down at her, at the way her hair fanned out on his pillow, and her eyes flashed with desire. She looked like a satisfied woman who knew she was about to get satisfied yet again. Probably a few more times before they fell asleep.
Tomorrow, they would join his parents for dinner, along with his brothers and their families. He would announce their engagement then, and he couldn’t wait.
“So, when do you want to get married?” he asked.
“I always wanted a June wedding.”
“Then June it is, sweetheart.”
He leaned in to kiss her and seal the deal, while at the same time sliding his body into hers.
His lips on hers, he began moving, establishing a rhythm and setting the pace.
Slow, fast, then out of control. Her body felt hot, on fire, as if it was burning for him.
His thrusts were fast and hard, deliberately driving her off the edge.
Then it happened. Together, their bodies exploded in an orgasm so fierce that his head spun. He released her mouth and gazed down at her. She never looked more beautiful than when she was in her orgasmic element.
She screamed his name when another climax hit, then a third. Hell, he thought when his body began jerking again, they were headed toward a fourth. Amazing. He didn’t let up until the last spasm had flowed from their bodies.
For a minute, he was too drained to speak. Somehow, he managed to ease off of her, and pulled her into his arms. “Wow,” she whispered softly.
“You can say that again,” he whispered back, barely breathing out the words.
She did. “Wow.”
He smiled. “I love you, Desiree. Thanks for coming into my life.”
She reached up and softly stroked the side of his face. “And thank you, Cobra Masters, for coming into mine.”
