Chapter 14 #2
"Fair enough. Like I said, I'm not going to get into it with you," Enzo said, then pulled out his cell to text his father about the senator.
"Contacting your dad?" Cenzo asked.
Enzo nodded. "I just want him to know and let him make a decision."
"So, what are we about to do now, because I want some action." Dragon shifted in the chair to get more comfortable.
"We have some people we're going to take out as a mission for an acquaintance of ours. Whether or not I also take out this acquaintance is up to my father," Enzo said as he waited for the response from his dad.
"Cool. Listen, my dad contacted me and told us that he arranged for enforcements from Tampa and my chapter to help out when we get to Miami. Also, the chapter there will send some enforcers to aid us. The brothers from Tampa should be here within the hour," Dragon said.
Enzo pursed his lips and nodded. "Appreciated. How many?"
"Two from Tampa and five will help us out from the Miami chapter," Dragon said.
"What about Orlando?" Cenzo asked.
"There's me, and then Nine Iron, and Burger should be here in the next twenty minutes," Dragon said.
Enzo cocked an eyebrow. "Just two from Tampa?"
Dragon nodded. "Two enforcers." He said it like that's all who needed to be sent.
"Are they on your level?" Enzo asked because Dragon had surpassed his expectations. "What about Nine Iron and Burger..." he paused to chuckle at the nicknames. "I must say, you have some colorful names."
"Aren't you known as 'The Prince,' and your father is 'The Monk,' and your uncle is 'The Vise'?" Dragon reminded.
Enzo nodded. "And we have a member also called 'The Dagger,' but our nicknames aren't for every member of the family. Only those who hold significant positions can have nicknames. With your club, everyone gets a nickname, right?"
"We like to call them road names," Dragon corrected.
"Ahh, I see," Enzo said and nodded. "I just find it interesting. I'm not trying to mock. But can you answer my question about their skill level?"
Dragon decided to let it go since no harm was done.
Bikers would never let anyone disrespect them, but he could see that wasn't Enzo's intention.
"They aren't on my level, more on Nine's level, which is still a force to be reckoned with.
Burger has been training with Akari, so even I'm curious to see how much he's improved. "
"We'll need some badasses because the Triad happens to be our toughest opponent," Enzo said.
Dragon nodded "I love my brothers, but few are on my level. But don't worry, Jazz and Blazer can handle their business. And hell, Miami is sending Bulldozer, which is like sending an actual fucking bulldozer—which is how he got his road name."
Enzo smirked. "I really want to know the meaning behind those names, including yours, Dragon."
"I got mine at eighteen after I set this fucker on fire who pissed me off.
He was a son of a bitch who tried to rape my little sister Sofia.
I went to pick her up from her shift and heard her screaming.
I found him with his pants down and struggling to put it in her.
He was my first kill, and my sister said that I looked like a majestic beast at that moment—gallant, fierce, and violent, like a dragon.
That's how I got it," Dragon said. "I have a huge dragon tattoo on my back that wraps around my body.
I also have a lion with a crown tattoo because I'm the king of the enforcers of our chapter. "
"And the cyborg arm?" Cenzo inquired because he adored the level of artistic skill it took to design it.
"That was my next question," Enzo said.
Dragon flexed the muscles in his arm as he looked at it and smiled; the way the ink worked with his muscles made it look like the gears and wires were moving with his flex. "Just looks cool as fuck."
Enzo chuckled and nodded. "I have several tattoos of my own.
But my most precious is my family crest." He unbuttoned three buttons on his shirt, then pulled it down to show Dragon his Castiello crest of the matching dragons holding a sword with the little "C" in the middle.
"As you can see, we understand the power of the dragon. "
Dragon smiled. "That's a badass family crest. My other favorite tattoo is our club patch." He lifted up his t-shirt, showing off more muscles and tattoos.
Enzo leaned over to read the words "'Show No Mercy'" written across Dragon's torso. Then he checked out the club patch with the silver wings, a fiery demon skull smiling with the banner 'Lords of Chaos MC' across it. He nodded in admiration. "Beautiful ink, and you also have a badass patch."
Dragon lowered his shirt. "Every brother wears it with honor." He pursed his lips. "Well, some chapters have sisters too, and they also wear it with honor."
Enzo cocked an eyebrow. "Oh? Your chapter doesn't allow females?"
Dragon shook his head. "I think only the New York, LA, and most recently, Chicago chapters do. The UK, Original Orlando, Miami, Tampa, Atlanta, Vegas, and Georgia chapters don't."
Enzo nodded because he heard Dragon's words, but he was more interested in the network they had across the country.
No wonder his father wanted to join forces with them.
Granted, the Castiello family has its own people, but having powerful allies made one unstoppable.
The proof was in this current war. Without the Lords, he feared they would have lost. No, he knew it. They would have lost.
"I've learned a lot about your club today; thank you," Enzo said.
"Glad to answer your questions," Dragon said.
"Getting back to the matter at hand. If more of your club members are coming, we need to arrange lodging for them," Enzo said.
"I'm on it," Cenzo said.
"Will they all be staying here?" Dragon asked, as he was in the mansion but had no idea how many bedrooms it had.
"No," Enzo said.
"Hotel?" Dragon asked.
"Not really, it'll be a safe house. But don't worry, the accommodations you'll find more than acceptable," Enzo said. "It's where all of my men will be while we strategize."
"We're bikers; we don't need ruffles and champagne," Dragon said.
Cenzo snorted, then chuckled. "Rough bastards, we got it."
"The roughest." Dragon winked.
"That may be, but the Castiello family knows how to treat our allies," Enzo said, and right then his cell pinged, and he read the text. "Ah, finally." He read the text from his father.
Hold off killing him for now. We may need him after this war is settled. Once the smoke has cleared, I'll take care of that piece of shit personally, Rico said.
That was good enough for Enzo. Understood, Dad. For now, I'll take care of the senator's problem.
Good. About your plan... take both of Da Han's children if possible. The more we have, the better our leverage. I want them alive, Rico instructed.
Enzo was only going for Li, who was next in line for the Mujin Dragonhead's throne, but he couldn't help but see the wisdom in his father's logic. I will do that.
Good. Your uncle Nico should be arriving soon, so I'll talk to you later. Stay safe.
I will. Enzo slipped his cell back into his pocket, rose, and adjusted his suit. "Dad wants to put that prick on ice for now. He'll handle it. Also, he wants Li and Xiù taken for leverage."
"Makes sense. We need to get a team to use tranqs," Cenzo suggested.
Enzo nodded. "If we can take them in pristine condition, the better."
"About the Miami chapter, like Julian said, Li may not go there for the inspection. Why don't the Miami chapter send that Bulldozer guy here just in case? It's best if we're prepared for anything," Cenzo suggested.
Dragon pursed his lips and nodded after reflecting. "That makes sense. I'll call my dad and let him know about that plan."
"Good idea, Cenzo," Enzo praised. "In case we find Li's safehouse first, we can attack anytime, anywhere."
"Works for me," Dragon said.
"You can relax for now. I'm just going to the bathroom. We have to wait until your reinforcements get here, then we head out," Enzo said.
"Ahh, okay. I'll just go back to my room," Dragon said then rose.
Enzo nodded and left the biker to handle his own business.
