8. Chapter Eight

CHAPTER EIGHT

MAYLEE

Ezra

Can you come to the office?

S he looked down at her phone and realized it was lunch. How had so much time passed already? It was probably because she had been trying to keep herself busy so she didn’t think about the night before. It had been absolute heaven, and she wanted more of it.

She craved more.

Even as she looked back on emptying her bladder in the diaper, she wanted more. She wanted to feel the soft material against her skin and have Daddy taking care of her. Maylee meant Ezra. She really needed to make sure she wasn’t calling him Daddy in her head when they weren’t playing because it was going to slip out in person.

Maylee

Do you want anything to eat? I’m heading to the pizza place again.

Ezra

A slice like normal and a drink.

Maylee

Be there in ten minutes.

She tucked her phone in her back pocket and headed toward the front door.

“I’m taking my lunch break,” Maylee told Jenna, the receptionist.

“Have fun!” She wiggled her eyebrows.

Everyone knew she met up with Ezra almost every lunch. If only they knew it wouldn’t go any further than them being friends. He had clearly moved on and didn’t want her anymore. Maylee was just going to have to be okay with that.

She headed down the street toward the pizza place.

“Maylee! So good to see you. I’ve got your regular orders right here,” Mrs. Lincoln said.

“I forgot to bring the containers back. I’ll bring them tomorrow, is that okay?”

“That’s fine, sweety. I know you’ll bring them back. No rush.”

“Thank you.” Maylee did feel bad. She was so good about bringing it back the next day but yesterday had been weird. Spending the night with Ezra, or well most of the night, and then going home. She had been in a funk all night and day.

“Say hi to Ezra for me!”

“Will do! ”

Maylee started toward his office. What was he wanting to talk to her about? Why did he want to meet her? Her nerves were starting to build up inside her.

They hadn’t planned to meet today. She was getting busier, but she also couldn’t say no to Ezra. It was that, and she did need to have a break to eat something. Ezra wouldn’t be happy with her.

“Hello!” Hassan said. “Back for more?”

She gave him a weird look. Back for what? Did he know what they had done?

“Give the girl a break,” Justin said. “She’s talking to Ezra.”

She shook her head and made her way toward his office.

“Have fun! Get into trouble,” Hassan yelled!

“Shut up, you brute!” Antonio yelled.

Maylee turned her head toward him. Antonio was only in the office few times a month. He liked to keep to himself most of the time; she didn’t know why, but he did.

“Hi, Antonio,” she said, gently.

He gave her a smile. “Hi, May. Stay safe.”

She furrowed her eyebrows. Why would he tell her that? What was going on? Why were they all giving her a look and saying weird things?

“Guys. For fuck sakes. Leave the girl alone. Stop saying shit like that.” Justin raised his voice.

“What’s going on?” Ezra said as he emerged from his office.

“Nothing,” Hassan said. “Just saying hello to your girl.”

Maylee glared at Hassan. She had told him last time they weren’t together. Was he deaf along with being dumb ?

“Come on, Lee.” Ezra put his hand on her shoulder. “Let’s go eat.”

She continued to glare at Hassan as they went into Ezra’s office. Hassan chuckled and winked at her. She was totally going to get back at him.

“How much did it cost?” Ezra asked.

“Nothing,” she replied.

Mrs. Lincoln had her credit card on file and charged her whenever she picked up the food. It was nice not to have to bring out her credit card every time, especially when she was running late for things. It had only happened twice, but not having to take her credit card had saved her a lecture.

“Maylee,” he scolded her. “What did it cost? Let me pay you for it.”

She shook her head. “Not happening. I’ve got plenty of money, so I can pay for it.”

This was not the first time they had discussed this. Ezra brought it up at least once a week, and she always told him she had enough money. She did, renting her house, well townhouse, saved her a lot of money. It was cheap rent since she knew the lady from whom she was renting.

“I know you have enough money, but it doesn’t feel right. I’m an old-fashioned guy, and you know that. I want to pay you back.”

“You don’t need to. I promise, I’m fine. I have the extra money to spend on it.”

Ezra pulled out his wallet from his back pocket and got one of his credit cards. “Then take this credit card and use it whenever you get food for us.”

“No, I’m not doing that. Mrs. Lincoln already has my card on file. I’m not going to tell her to change it to yours. It’ll be a hassle.”

“You either take the credit card and use it whenever you buy us food or I’m going to pay you back for all the times you’ve bought me lunch, or any food, and you still use my credit card from now on.”

She huffed out of a breath. Either way, she was going to have to use his credit card.

“And if I take it but don’t use it. What are you going to do then?” she asked.

“I’ll spank your bottom,” he stated.

She widened her eyes and she glanced over at the open door. He could not say that while they were at his work.

“Shhh.”

“Why?” he asked.

“Because we’re at your workplace.”

“No one is near my office. They won’t hear a thing.”

He held out the credit card, and she took it.

“I don’t like this,” she stated.

“I know you don’t, but it’s long overdue. You know I’m old-fashioned when it comes to payment and a lot of other things.”

“I know, but that doesn’t mean I like it.”

“I’m going to tell Mrs. Lincoln to change the credit card. You don’t have to worry about a thing. I’ll call her later today.”

Maylee nodded and took her usual seat.

“How are you feeling?” Ezra asked as he sat down.

There he was checking up on her again. She should be used to it by now, but sometimes it still shocked her .

“Okay?” she replied.

“Have you felt any sadness, lethargy, insecurity, depression?”

“I don’t think so. I feel fine and happy.” Maylee was so unsure. “Is this about last night?”

“Yes, sometimes subs and even Doms can experience what we call a drop. Basically, you have a buildup of endorphins, and after a couple hours or even a couple of days, you can experience a low after. Not everyone experiences it, but I wanted to make sure you were okay.”

One of her books had briefly mentioned subdrop but hadn’t gone into details. It was interesting to know about it, and hopefully she didn’t experience it. It didn’t sound at all fun.

“If you ever feel that way, you text me immediately. Understand?” Ezra said.

She nodded.

“Words, Lee. I need words this time.”

“Yes, Da— Sir.” Maylee closed her eyes. She had almost called him Daddy. How could she have almost let herself slip? It was hard when Ezra was so dominant, and the name fit and felt perfect.

Ezra smiled at her. “If you want, you can call me that outside of our designated time.”

She shook her head and pushed his food toward him. She didn’t want to get into the topic because she would get too attached to calling him Daddy. What happened if he told her in a week that he had found someone, and she had to stop? Maylee didn’t know if she could stop if she started calling him Daddy all the time .

But in her head, she was sometimes calling him Daddy. She was getting so used to it, and she needed to stop.

“Eat,” Daddy said. “We only have another twenty minutes before you need to start heading back to your office.”

“I’m not hungry right now,” she replied. “I’ll eat it later.”

She had lost her appetite when she called him Daddy. Not in a bad way, but she just was worried and thinking about too many things at once.

“You’ll eat some now. We both know you won’t have time to eat it later.”

Why did he have to be right?

“I’m really not hungry. I don’t want to puke.”

He raised an eyebrow at her. “Be a good girl and take at least three bites or you’ll get lines.” Maylee whined at the mention of lines. “Food is important, and you aren’t going to be skipping any. Three meals a day.”

She shook her head. “No, not three meals a day. You know I can’t eat breakfast.”

It always made her nauseous, and she would almost throw up. Who wanted that? Not her. No matter what she ate, it never worked out for her.

“We’ll come up with a solution for your breakfast, but you will be eating lunch and dinner. Starting now.”

“I don’t like it,” she mumbled.

He had never been this strict with her before. Sure, he occasionally reminded her to eat, but nothing like this. This was over the top. Maybe it was because things had changed a little between them. He was acting like her Daddy outside their set, agreed-upon times. Was it bleeding into their daily lives or was she only noticing it now ?

“You need to fuel your body properly. I know you don’t like it, but you are on your feet so much. Your body needs all the nutrients it can get,” he pointed out. “You’re going to lose this battle, so don’t even try it. Just say, ‘Yes, Daddy,’ and agree.”

Everything in her wanted to argue with him, but he was telling the truth. There was no way she was going to win this. He was more stubborn than she was, and when he wanted something, he didn’t stop until he got it. This was one of those situations.

“Yes, Daddy,” she said as she picked up her piece of pizza.

“Ezra,” Justin said.

She turned her head to see who had spoken. Standing in the doorway were Justin, Perry, and Hassan. Her eyes went wide. Shit. They had heard what she said.
