14. Chapter Fourteen
CHAPTER FOURTEEN
MAYLEE
F riday arrived, and Maylee was super nervous. Work had kept her busy, but she always found herself thinking about this weekend. She was going to spend the whole time with Daddy, and he was going to take care of her.
She was nervous and excited at the same time. Was she going to love or hate it? They had only ever done a few hours but never a whole weekend.
How was she supposed to act? What was she supposed to bring? What was she supposed to do right now?
Maylee had been pacing in her living room. She had nothing in her wardrobe or in her house that was a Little item. Well, she had her stuffed animal Nila, but that was it.
Was Daddy going to think less of her because she didn’t have anything?
Her phone went off, and she let out a little squeal. She had been so preoccupied she hadn’t heard the alert.
Ezra
I’m on my way to pick you up.
Maylee panicked when she realized the message had been sent three minutes ago. He was almost here. What was she going to do? She didn’t want to make him wait for her to get ready when she didn’t have anything. Would she have to do a walk of shame when he realized she didn’t have any Little items?
She hadn’t cleaned up her house. Her room was an absolute mess with all her clothes on the floor. Maylee had taken everything out of her closet and drawers to see if she had clothing that could work this weekend.
Obviously, she didn’t have anything, which resulted in her panicking and walking back and forth in her living room. She didn’t want to disappoint Daddy. Maybe she should have bought a few things before this weekend, but she had no idea where to look or where to even begin.
The doorbell rang, and she let out a scream. Maylee ran to the door, opened it, and saw Daddy standing there.
“What’s wrong? Why did you scream?” he asked.
“Nothing is wrong. You just caught me off guard, and I screamed.”
“Did you look through the peephole?”
“No, I knew it was you. You are the only one who comes to my house. Well, besides Liv, but she isn’t in town right now.”
He growled. “You know better than that, Maylee. You always look through the peephole first. What if it was someone else who was going to rob you? What if you had gotten hurt?”
“It wasn’t anyone. No one ever rings doorbells. You are the only one. Well, the only one who does it to my house.”
“It doesn’t matter. You should always look through the peephole before you open the door! Even if the doorbell hasn’t rung and you are leaving to go somewhere. Look before you open it, so you aren’t caught by surprise.”
Maylee hadn’t considered that. Deadwood was a small, safe town where people didn’t have to be cautious around others. Everyone knew everyone, and nobody was dangerous. Sure, there were some men who were reckless and did stupid things but nothing super dangerous.
“No one is going to hurt me,” she said. “It’s a safe place.”
“Doesn’t matter. It’s part of your safety rule, and you should have known that. I told you safety was a huge deal, and opening the door without looking puts yourself at risk.”
Maylee flinched and nodded. Okay, so it was part of the safety rule. He hadn’t flat out said it when he had explained the safety rule, but it did fall under it.
“Now, can I come in?” he asked.
She opened the door further and let him in. She couldn’t believe they had the whole conversation out on her front porch. There were houses right next to hers, and she had some nosy neighbors. What if they overheard this and were now going to tell everybody in the town?
“Nobody heard anything. None of your neighbors are home,” Daddy said.
She let out a sigh and relaxed her shoulders. “You always know what I’m thinking. ”
“Not always, but most of the time you wear your emotions on your face or on your body. I’ve also known you for over thirty years.”
And, like she had assumed before, he probably knew her better than she knew herself—always making sure she was okay and before she even knew that something was wrong. It was another reason why she loved him.
“Are you okay?” Daddy asked.
She looked away for a few seconds. Maylee needed to gain the courage to tell him. Lying was bad, so she couldn’t do that, not that she would want to but sometimes it was hard to tell him things.
“Being completely honest, I don’t know what I’m doing. What do I need to pack? What do I need? Do I need to prepare anything? There are so many questions running through my mind, and I have no clue where to start. My room is a mess, and I have nothing that would work for me being Little. All my clothes are grown-up and uncomfortable. How is this weekend going to work when I don’t have anything?”
“Do you have Nila?” Daddy asked.
“Of course, I have her, but there’s so much else. In the books they talk about people having pacifiers, little clothes, little items and so much else. I don’t have any of that. I just have my stuffed animal that you gave me before you left.”
Maylee had cherished her stuffed animal since the day he had given it to her. It had helped her at night when he was overseas, knowing he was trying his hardest to come back. She would hug it anytime she missed Ezra, and normally it helped .
“You don’t need to worry about a thing. I have everything you need at my house, and I even bought a couple extra things because I thought you would like it. You don’t need to bring anything besides you, Nila, and your toiletries. But you don’t even need to bring your toiletries if you don’t want to because I have everything at my house.”
She blinked several times, processing what he had just said. Something was missing. What was her role in it?
“I need to contribute somehow,” she stated. “You can’t just buy everything and then me not do anything. What do I owe you? What do I need to do?”
“You don’t need to contribute to anything. I bought those things because I wanted to. You just need to relax and let me take control. Let me take care of you.”
“Easier said than done,” she mumbled.
How did he expect her to just sit back and relax? Did he know what was going through her mind? There were so many things to think about in so little time.
“It seems impossible,” she whispered.
“I know it may seem impossible, and that it’s easier said than done, but that’s why we have the whole weekend. We’ll start off slow. Everything is going to be fine.”
There was that word again. Fine. How did he know that everything was going to be fine? Could he see into the future?
“It looks pretty daunting, doesn’t it?”
She nodded. They had spent a few hours together, and he had taken care of her. It had been the best time of her life, but this was different. It was the whole weekend. Daddy had said he wanted to control the time and that she was going to lean on him. Would she be able to do that? Or would she fail miserably?
Maylee didn’t want to fail. She wanted to succeed and show him that this was who she was. Deep down, she knew that it was, but it seemed harder to show it. It always seemed harder. She didn’t understand why life couldn’t be easy.
But maybe this weekend would be good for them both. Maybe this would help her become more comfortable around him. Not that she wasn’t comfortable around him, but this was completely different to all the other things they had done.
“Do you still want to do this?” Daddy asked.
She nodded vigorously. “Yes, I do. I just am so worried I’m going to mess up or I’m going to do something wrong. I don’t have anything, and I don’t know, it just seems like everybody who thinks they are a Little have things.”
She was really taking the whole telling him everything and how she felt rule seriously. Usually, she did but since this was a new topic, it was harder.
Maylee had spent months reading about this, thinking there were only a few Daddy Doms in the world. She hadn’t expected there were several in her small little town.
Daddy opened his arms, and she quickly wrapped her arms around him. His hugs were magical things. They always managed to calm her down and ground her. Did he know that? He had to have known, since he insisted on giving her a hug anytime she was starting to get overwhelmed.
“But you do have things,” he said gently. “They are just at my house, and after this weekend, if you want to take them home, then you can. I’ll get more things for you to keep at my house. I’m serious, and you’re not going to pay me back for this.”
There was no use in arguing with him about payment. He was obviously going to win, and she wasn’t in the mood to fight.
“I know it’s all overwhelming and that’s why we’re going to take it slow this weekend. We’re not going to do anything that you’re not comfortable with. If you want to try something new, you’ll let me know, and we’ll try it. Does that sound okay?”
She nodded against his chest, not letting him go. She wanted to stay in his arms for the rest of her life. To always feel this calm and comfortable would be a huge blessing.
“I know we could stand here all night and hug, but I’ve got some things planned for this weekend. So, do you need any of your toiletries or anything else?”
“No, I’ll just use your stuff at the house,” she replied.
“Do you need any tampons or pads? Well, you’ll be in a diaper, so you technically don’t need them.”
“Don’t talk about that stuff.”
No matter how long she had known Ezra, talking about periods never came easy. He always made sure that she had everything she needed and even stocked his house, or well normally had his house stocked with things she needed, but it was still weird. She wasn’t ashamed or embarrassed that she was a woman who had a period, but it was weird discussing that stuff with him.
“You don’t have to be embarrassed. It’s a normal cycle. It’s not nasty or disgusting. It’s how you were made. I wouldn’t have it any other way.”
“But still,” she whined.
“I know you don’t like talking about it, but it’s important. Are they regular? Are they super heavy? Do you have a ton of pain? Do you need to go see somebody to get special medicine?”
Maylee pulled back and glared at him. “We’re not having this conversation.”
“We will at some point. You can either answer the questions now or I’ll ask them later.”
Did she want to answer them now or did she want to talk about it later? That was hard because she didn’t want to talk about it at all.
“They don’t have to be detailed right now. You can just be a yes, they are regular. No, they aren’t heavy or yes, they’re kind of heavy. Those types of answer. Then, at a later date, we can talk about it more in depth.”
She sighed. If this was going to get him off her back about those questions, then she was going to answer.
“Yes, they are regular. I wouldn’t say they’re super heavy, but I also wouldn’t say they are light. It changes. Sometimes the first day can be really heavy, and other times they’re not. I’ve already gone to the doctor, and I already get pills for my pain. You don’t need to worry about that,” she replied.
Daddy kissed her forehead. “I’m always going to worry about you. I also need to take a look at those pills and the instructions so I know about it. Are you taking any other medications that I need to know about?”
“Do we have to do this now? ”
“Yes, we do. I want to know so in case anything happens in the future, I know what you’re taking and what it can mix with and what it can’t mix with. How long you have to wait before you can take more and if you need to take it on an empty stomach or if you need to eat something first. It’s important.”
“I’m not taking anything else. I don’t like pills.”
“I know you don’t, and I bet you let the pain get really bad before you take any of your special pills.”
“Yeah, and it’s not a crime. I have a high pain tolerance, so I’m okay.”
A thoughtful look crossed his face. “Maybe I can ask if there is a suppository-type of pill that’s the same. Then you wouldn’t have to swallow it.”
Her eyes went wide, and she shook her head. “There’s no way you’re going to put something in my butt.”
“We’ll see. If I noticed that you’re in a lot of pain and you’re pushing it off because you don’t want to take medicine, then I will take it into my own hands. Maybe I can ask Perry about it so it’s a little more discreet than going to your doctor.”
“Not Perry. If he knows, then he’s going to tell everybody else in the office.”
Daddy gripped her chin. “He would never do that. Perry doesn’t tell anybody information that isn’t their business. If I ask him, he’ll make sure it’s as discreet as possible.”
“I really don’t need a suppository for that. I’m fine with what I have going on now.”
“I’m not saying you’re not fine with it, but I am telling you that if I notice you’re pushing off taking the medicine because you don’t want to swallow it, I will ask Perry. It’s not a threat, it’s a promise.”
“Fine. I’ll just have to make sure that I take it, so you don’t buy them.”
He smiled at her. “Well, since that’s out of the way, are you ready to go?”
