Chapter Fourteen

DUBLIN, IRELAND

Seven Years Later

My cell phone vibrated on the table beside the bed, but I ignored it.

The caller was likely no one other than my grandfather, and as far as I was concerned, the damn man could wait on me.

Right now, I was practically balls deep in some woman’s mouth.

Janie...Jamie...No, it was Jacie...The names all blended together, and had ever since. ..

I forced my mind not to even go there. For the most part, I’d picked up and moved on with my life, and one that my grandfather had no problem letting me know he still controlled.

Or so he thought. Whatever this pressing family business he had to go over with Kingston and me would have to wait until I reached an orgasm.

With that goal in mind, I captured the blonde’s small bud between my teeth, then fluttered my tongue over it, earning a few more whimpers from the female.

She was holding on to her control by the thinnest of threads.

Shifting her body to a different angle over my face, I used my large hands to spread her thighs apart.

I could taste her cream as it coated my tongue, and I was now anticipating the moment she would flood my face with her release.

Jacie wouldn’t be coming alone, though. As I worked her into a frenzy with my tongue and fingers, she wrapped one of her dainty hands around the base of my shaft while she tugged on my balls with the other.

I could feel them draw up against my body, which caused me to grit my teeth.

A few more upward thrusts had the base of my spine tingling in warning.

My sac grew tighter as my cock swelled. I wouldn’t last much longer.

The cell phone vibrating once more distracted me momentarily until Jacie’s mouth drew another groan from me.

I ignored the caller again, then speared her pussy with my tongue, feeling her walls try to clamp down around it.

My fingers dug into her hips, which she was now rocking against me as I had her ready to explode.

Slapping her outside thigh, the unspoken command made her climax.

I felt the rush of her cream, then lapped at it as her mouth covered my cock once more.

As soon as she took me to her throat, my own release exploded, and I thrust up into her as she wrung every drop from me.

Once finished, I slowly lifted her up, then rolled out from under her.

Jacie looked up at me in question as I sat up.

After reaching for my cell phone, I saw that all the calls and messages were from my grandfather.

While I no longer gave a damn about what he would do to me, I didn’t relish another innocent woman losing her life, even if I knew nothing about this blonde.

“You need to go. I have somewhere I need to be.”

“Will I see you again, Cillian?” she asked me.

I looked at her, and while I could lie to her, and had done so to other women in the past, I shook my head. “Not likely. We had some fun, but I’m going to be leaving Dublin soon, so it’s better to end things now. I’m headed to shower. Please be gone by the time I get out.”

I didn’t wait to catch her reaction as I strode into the bathroom.

I showered as mentioned, and once finished, I walked back into my now empty bedroom.

It was bittersweet because the blonde could suck a cock and take direction.

She was a hell of a lot more obedient than others over the years, but not as much so as. ..

I refused to allow the redhead to penetrate my thoughts.

After what I had allowed to happen to her, I didn’t deserve to have my dick sucked, or even to orgasm by my own hand.

I didn’t deserve to breathe and wallow on this miserable earth, yet here I was.

As I got dressed, I had no idea what fresh hell my grandfather had for me.

..for Kingston...There was only one way to find out.

“I’m coming,” I said as soon as I snatched the vibrating cell phone off the table. “I’ll be there in twenty minutes.”

I didn’t wait to hear his response as I grabbed my keys and headed downstairs.

I got in my Lotus Emira, then headed the few miles to the Brannington estate.

The gates opened as I approached, and when I pulled up in front of the house, I saw Kingston’s Porsche was already there.

It would explain my grandfather’s urgency, but again, I could muster little fucks to give.

Once inside, I knew I would find the two men in the study, and I wasn’t wrong.

They both looked up at me as I entered the room, but I didn’t greet them as I headed over to the small, corner bar and quickly poured myself some Scotch.

After, I flopped down onto one of the chairs and looked at my grandfather.

“I’m here, so what’s this about?” I then looked over at my cousin. “You never venture across the pond. I guess this has to be good for you to do so now.”

“Asshole,” Kingston muttered under his breath, which made me smirk.

“Enough, you two. I called this meeting, and it’s one of utmost importance when it comes to the longevity and continuance of this family.”

“Longevity and continuance?” I asked as I sat up straighter. Those words had an ominous tone to them.

“Yes. As you both know, I’m getting up in age. I’m not going to live forev—”

“Thank fuck,” I muttered, earning a lethal look from Kingston, who seemed to be the only one to hear me.

“While I’d hoped to never have to have this talk with you two, neither of you has left me any choice.”

“A talk?” Kingston asked which echoed my own thoughts.

“We’re the only Branningtons left. I’d thought that one, if not both, of you would’ve sired a suitable heir by now, but the disappointment I’ve come to expect with you two continues.”

This was something he made sure to tell me every chance he got.

My grandfather thought of me as weak...a failure.

..a crushing disappointment...He felt a lot of those same things about Kingston, but not to the extent that he did about me.

While my cousin hadn’t made him proud yet, he also wasn’t a living, breathing reminder of such failure because I lived in Ireland full time near him, whereas Kingston did not.

The only cousin he’d ever seemed to brag about had been Princeton, at least until that cousin was run down in the street by the daughter of a Russian rival.

Had it been planned? Or had Princeton done something to deserve it?

We’d never know the truth, and the authorities had closed the case out as a tragic accident and nothing more.

A certainly different case than that of Reagan Coughlin.

“So we’re a disappointment. Yada yada yada. Is there something more, because if not...” I said as I started to stand up.

“Sit down, garmhac. I’m not finished.”

I threw my free hand up in surrender before sitting back down.

I didn’t stare at the man though as I busied myself with the alcohol.

Over the years, I’d buried my head in a bottle more times than I should’ve, but only a drunken haze would silence the voices in my head, and the ghost that haunted me frequently.

I slammed back the contents, then placed the glass onto the side table. Kingston also had a drink that he finished, and as my grandfather looked between us, he finally continued. “With that out of the way, I’m giving the two of you an ultimatum.”

“What sort of ultimatum?” Kingston asked.

I had no desire to know, but I stared impassively at the man, anyway.

“You’re both to get married and produce an heir, or risk being disinherited.”

“What?” we both said in unison.

“And there’s more,” our grandfather said.

“Such as?” I asked.

“Only the first to accomplish this task will take over my throne.”

“That’s crazy, Daideó. I don’t want to marry or have children right now,” Kingston said as he rose to his feet.

“And I’ve been there and done that, or at least part of it. You—”

“Silence, garmhac. That sham had been annulled, and you know it.”

The word annulled made it seem like some legal proceeding, when in fact the marriage had only ended because he’d brutally murdered my bride, then cut her beautiful cerulean eyes out of her head.

I’d only had a few hours on our wedding night to stare down into them, and now the memory of what happened later was all I could remember.

Her eyes and the pain in my chest that had yet to fully heal.

And it never would. As the years had passed on and no matter what death-defying thing I did failed, I’d come to realize that I deserved nothing more than the pain.

Reagan had deserved none of it, and I knew any woman I used to fulfill this ultimatum would pay for my sins, too.

“I’m not interested, so let Kingston have it all. I’m out of here.”

“Garmhac,” my grandfather said in warning, then repeated himself as I refused to come to heel. My only response was that of the door slamming behind me as I left the study and his house.

“And to think I rushed an orgasm for this shit.” Disgusted, I got in my car, then peeled out of the driveway.
