Chapter 45
Destiny's pov
I was in the hospital, in the waiting room. There was no one except me. My dad said the surgery will begin early. I didn't know, it would start at 8.30 in the morning. Both Ava and Harry are in the surgery now. I am alone and I am freaking out.
Liam had called me five minutes back asking my home address.
I said him to come directly to the hospital and told the hospital address.
Yesterday was great, after one week I saw Ava, she was so happy seeing me.
I met Harry, he is a wonderful child. I hope everything turns out good.
I spent the night in my home. I asked Amanda to come home. Nick my nephew has grown up.
My thoughts were cut off, when I heard my name being called. I looked up to see Liam making his way towards me. Immediately I got up from my seat and ran towards him. I met him half way, as I hugged him pressing my head against his chest. He hugged me back. He started to pull away from me.
But I didn't want to leave him yet. I grabbed his shirt at the back tightly not leaving him.
He understood I was not letting him anytime soon, so he just hugged me rubbing my back.
After few minutes, I left him pulling back a little and looked up at him.
He bought his hand up and pushed my hair and held my cheek.
"Are you okay" he asked looking into my eyes. I nod my head and took his other hand and intertwined with mine.
"I guess. I was just freaking out since no one was there" I said and pulled him with me to where I was sitting and made him sit beside me.
"Where is Ava" he asked.
"They went in for surgery. I didn't knew it would be this early when my dad said early" I said playing with his fingers.
"Everything will be fine. Okay" he said rubbing his thumb on my hand. I nod my head. I heard footsteps coming. I looked up to see Alex coming our way with a cup of coffee. I instantly glared at him. He gave me the coffee cup and put his hands up.
"What's with the glaring, I didn't do anything" he said sitting across us. I looked away and started drinking my coffee. I knew what he did, Ava told me.
"Princess what happened. Did he do anything to you" Liam asked.
"He didn't do anything to me. But to Ava" I said looking at Liam. Seeing his face, I immediately calmed down. I don't know if it is for worrying about Ava and her brother or about Alex.
"What did he do"
"He ignored her calls for whole week. When she talked about it to me yesterday, she was so sad. She thought she did something to him to ignore her calls. She was so worried about him. And here he is like, everything is okay" I said glaring him. He looked down feeling guilty.
He should be, he made my friend sad.
"She wanted a friend to talk about it, she thought about him and called him. And he didn't pick the call" I said. He didn't say anything just sat there. I looked at him to give me the answer but he didn't. After few seconds he got up and left. I signed leaning my head on Liam shoulder.
"I am sorry. I am just stressing out. I have gone a little too far talking to him like that, didn't I" I asked looking at him. He took my cup and placed it far from us. He made me sit on his lap sideways.
"You didn't do anything wrong. Someone has to do that to him, and you did. Even I asked him why didn't he pick the calls, he remained silent. He has to figure it out by himself about it" he said rubbing my knee. I put my one hand on his chest and leaned my head on his shoulder
"Where are Ava's family" he asked.
"They wanted to come but Ava declined it.
It's very difficult if both her parents stop working.
She said she will manage. I don't know how she will do.
Their parents are very worried. I asked her whether I can help, she just scolded me in return.
I have asked my sister to look after them.
My father has already appointed Amanda as their nurse" I said.
"Atleast your sister and your father is here to help them. We will see how it goes" he said.
"Did you eat your breakfast" he asked after few minutes. I shook my head "Do you want anything to eat" I shook my head again.
"My mother and Mellisa made some pie to you and Ava. I left it back at the car. If you want I will bring it now" he said. I don't know why, him going somewhere didn't sit well with me. I put my hands around his neck and hugged him.
"Don't go anywhere, just be with me" I whispered. He rubbed my back.
"I am not going anywhere okay" he said. I nod my head. I pulled back and looked at him, I looked down at his lips and kissed him slowly. He kissed me back. He kiss showed, he is here and he is not going anywhere. I pulled back and leaned my head back on his shoulder.
I sat there on his lap, it feels like I don't have to worry about anything. He caressed my hair, I felt my eyelids close and sleep came over me.
"Princess, wake up" someone whispered. That someone is Liam.
"Destiny wake up your dad is here" Liam said. Immediately my eyes opened and stood up from him. I turned towards my dad to see him glaring at Liam. Liam stood up beside me.
"Dad is everything okay" I asked worriedly. My dad looked at me and smiled.
"Yes cupcake everything is fine. The surgery went well. Ava is absolutely good, she just needs recovery time. And Harry has to be in observation for 3-4 weeks to see if the bone marrow transplant is supporting his body" he said.
"Can I see them" I asked in hope.
"Not yet cupcake, they are still unconscious. You can meet Ava after an hour. And Harry has to be in observation for few more hours. Why don't you go and eat something. I know you haven't eaten anything" he said and looked beside me. Shit I forgot about Liam.
"And who is this? Is this the boyfriend of yours you said" he asked looking at Liam intimately.
"Dad" I whined. I put my hands around Liam's arm and continued "Yes dad, he is my boyfriend. I told you his name is.... " my words were cut off when Liam put his hand in front him and introduced himself.
"Liam Collins sir". My dad eyed his hand and took it nonchalantly.
"David Walker" he shook Liam's hand and left.
"Why don't you go home and have something.
I will call your mom and say that you are coming" he said looking at me and he looked at Liam "You are welcome at my house.
Go with her" Liam nodded his head "I have some work here, I will continue.
See you cupcake" my dad said giving a kiss on my forehead and left.
I took my coat which was on the chair and put it on. As soon as I put it, Liam intertwined for hands. We started going out towards his car.
"What time is it. I didn't know when I slept" I asked.
"It's 11.50 now" he said looking at his watch "You slept nearly for two and a half hour".
"Yeah. And did you see Alex"
"No. I tried calling him, but he didn't pick up. Don't worry about him. I know he will come before evening" he said. I replied an okay.
We went in his car, he started driving towards my home. I talked with Ava's parents as I said the directions to Liam. After ten minutes we reached. We both got out, and Liam took a bag from backseat. We both stood infront of the door and I ringed the doorbell.
My mom opened the door with Nick in her arms.
"Oh you already came. I just finished making lunch. Your dad called said everything" she talked and then looked at Liam beside me. She beamed.
"Oh you brought a guest. Come on in" she moved leaving us place. I stepped inside and took Nick from her. I cooed him making him laugh.
"Hello madam, I am Liam Collins. Destiny's boyfriend" I saw Liam introduced himself putting his hand infront him. My mom ignored his hand and pulled him in a hug. I saw Liam's eyes widened. I chuckled seeing his face.
"Oh dear, no formalities. Call me Elizabeth" my mom said releasing him "Yes. Destiny said about you. And I am so happy seeing you both together" she said smiling. Liam nodded his head smiling at her.
"My mom and my cook Melissa made some pie for Destiny and Ava. I forgot to bring it to hospital to give them" he said giving the bag to my mom "I hope Destiny will share with you".
"I would share it unless it is you" I narrowed my eyes at him.
"Come on. I made lunch, you must be hungry" my mom ignored me and led Liam to the dining table. I stood there in shock. I followed them to the kitchen.
"Mom I am hungry too. And dad called you to make something for me. And you forgot me" I said putting Nick on his high chair and I sat next to him. Liam sat across me.
"Dear, you know the house and you can do whatever you want. But we have a guest. We have to look after him" she said started serving us. Liam just smirked at me. I rolled my eyes at him.
"Did Amanda left to work" I asked.
"Yeah, she left about half an hour back. She is the incharge of Ava and Harry right" I nod my head and started eating. My mom brought baby food and starting feeding Nick.
After we finished, my mom bought the pie. It was delicious, I have to thank both Melissa and Lily for that. We left Ava's part and kept it to bring it to the hospital. Liam was playing with Nick in the living room.
"Mom we will get going" I said taking the bag which has the pie.
"Okay dear, and come here for dinner. I will have it ready" she said.
"Mom, can we take Nick with us. Ava will be happy to see him" I asked.
"OK dear. And I will also get rest for sometime.
And if you feel tired bring him back immediately" she said cleaning the table.
I went to living room to see Nick sleeping peacefully on Liam's chest. It was good to see him like that.
I grabbed Nick's things and went to Liam. He looked up at me and smiled.
"He is adorable as you said"
"He is" I said taking him in my arms slowly not disturbing his sleep "Let's go, we are bringing Nick with us"
"But I don't have a baby seat" he said. I walked towards the front door.
There is a door next to front door where we keep things like this there.
I opened it and showed him. He understood and took the baby seat and went out.
I followed him. He put on the baby seat at the back.
I placed Nick in there. We went to the hospital.
We walked in to the hospital. Liam is carrying Nick. I asked the reception for Ava's room, she said it was on 3rd floor. I thanked her and made our way to her room.
