Chapter 46
Liam's pov
We entered Ava's room. Ava was up, but she was reaching out for water on the table.
"Oh no you don't. You rest I will help you" Destiny said placing the bag at the end of the bed. Ava relaxed as she show Destiny. Then she saw me, I smiled at her. Then her eyes went to the baby in my arms. This guy is a heavy sleeper.
Destiny took the glass and helped her to drink it. After she drank Destiny placed the glass back.
"How are you feeling" Destiny asked putting her hand on Ava's.
"Good. How is Harry" Destiny was about to reply. When the room door opened and in came a nurse. I immediately knew it was Destiny's sister. They look same.
"Hello, how are you feeling Ava" she asked looking at Ava. She started checking her. She didn't see me, I was standing at the corner.
"Good, I wanted to know how is Harry" Ava asked.
"He is good. We are waiting for him to wake up. Do you need anything" she said still checking on her. Nick started to wriggle in my arms. His face started to furrow. I knew he was about to cry.
And he did that.
Everyone looked at me. I just started cooing him, to make him stop. But he didn't. Destiny came to me bringing a feeding bottle. She put it in his mouth. He immediately calmed down. I took the feeding bottle in my hand and helped him.
"Amanda, this is Liam my boyfriend. Liam this is Amanda my sister" Destiny said. I looked up to see Amanda making her way towards me and stood at a distance. I nod at her.
"Sorry I didn't see you there. Nice to meet you" she said and looked at Nick "I hope he is not giving you trouble". I shook my head.
"Nice to meet you too. He is such a calm boy" I smiled. She smiled and patted Nick's head. He bought his hand up and touched her hand.
"Not now sweetie, and be a good boy" she said and looked at Ava "I will come again to check on you, now I have to check on Harry. If you need anything let me now" Amanda left. Nick completed his feeder and was ready to play. Destiny took Nick from me and went towards Ava.
"Say hi to aunt Ava" Destiny said in baby voice waving Nick's hand. He gurgled cutely. My mobile started ringing, I excused myself and went out to pick the call.
I walked at the end of the hallway and talked to the client. As I was talking I saw some moments at the other side. I looked at it and saw Alex pacing around the Ava's room. I rolled my eyes at him. I soon finished the call and made my way towards him. As soon as he saw me he was about dash out.
"How long are you going to run Alex" hearing my voice he stopped "I know, you knew Ava is good now. I saw you near the stairs when Destiny's dad was talking. Why don't you talk with her" I said as I stood behind him.
"I can't. I can't see her face. I feel guilty. And I..... I like her" he said looking down. Finally he realized.
"Just talk to her. And I heard she and brother will be alone. No one is there to look after her except Destiny's sister. And she will not be there all the time. Why don't you stay back and look after her" I said. He turned slightly and asked.
"Will she talk to me".
"Why don't you find out yourself" I said.
"But.. " he said looking at the elevator. He was about to run, I grabbed his back collar and tugged him back. I started making my way towards the room with me dragging him. I opened the door and pushed Alex inside. He stumbled and stood straight. Both girls looked at us.
"Hello" he waved his hand awkwardly. Ava was surprised seeing him. And Destiny rolled her eyes at him. Alex turned around and started walking out. I stood blocking the door, he glared at me.
"Princess why don't we grab something for Ava and her brother" I said signalling her with my eyes to come out. She understood and stood up from the chair with Nick and came towards me. I assured her out and slightly pushed Alex back to the room and closed the door.
We started moving out.
"Where did you find him" Destiny asked shifting Nick in her arms. She must be tired looking after him. I took him in my arms.
"He was pacing outside around her room. He didn't go out at all. He was here all the time" I said. Nick grabbed my hair and tugged it. I hissed in pain. He is very energetic now. I slowly grabbed his hand and made him release my hair.
"I thought he left. What do you want to buy anyway" she asked.
"Let's buy some fruits and their favourite things. You know them right" she nodded her head.
We went to the store nearby walking. We grabbed what we needed and went to check out the things.
There was a elder lady at the counter. Nick put his hand in his mouth making his hand saliva.
Destiny started checking out, I helped her.
But I stopped when I felt wet on my cheek.
Nick put his hand on my cheek and chuckled.
I take it back, he is not a calm child. He is a naughty child.
Destiny laughed hard. I narrowed my eyes at her and looked at him. He clapped his hands chuckling.
"You little" I said tickling his tummy. He chuckled loudly trying to stop me.
"Stop it" Destiny said wiping my cheek and Nick's hand with a tissue.
"Aww, such a cute family" the counter lady said smiling at us. Destiny blushed and was about to say something, but I beat her.
"Thank you" I said. Soon we finished and paid for the items. We started walking towards the hospital. A thought came to my mind and asked Destiny.
"I haven't heard anything about Amanda's husband. What does he do" I asked taking her free hand. She was carrying Nick. I was holding the bags in one hand.
"She is not married" she said. I looked at her confused.
"But she has a child" I asked.
"Yeah. This little guy here is adopted" she said looking at him, he was playing with her hair "After his birth his biological mother wanted to put him for adoption. That time Amanda came forward and took the responsibilities of taking care of him".
"She is a amazing women" I said.
On the way I saw a shop with flowers. I stopped there and bought roses for Destiny and tulips for Ava. I gave roses to Destiny, she kissed my cheek in return.
We walked backed to the Ava's floor. I knocked before going in.
Ava was sleeping and Alex was looking at her sitting on the chair beside her. I placed the bags on the table. I went towards Destiny and picked Nick from her. Alex stood up and came beside me.
"Is everything okay now" I asked looking at Destiny. She placed the tulips in the vase placed there.
"Yeah. I apologized for what I did. And she accepted it. You know she didn't even ask why I didn't picked the call. Before can I even speak, she apologized for what were she did. I said she didn't do anything" he said.
"So did you tell your feelings" I asked. Nick started making a fuse now. I cooed him.
"No" he said. Nick started crying. I was making an effort to stop him. Destiny came towards me and took him from me. She checked his diaper.
"He needs a diaper change" she signed and took Nick's bag to change him, she sat on the couch in the room.
"You guys came back" Ava said trying to sit up. Alex was quick helping her. I took the bag my mother gave and opened the box.
"My mother and Mellisa made some pie. I thought you might be hungry" I said giving her the box. She took it.
"Thank you, say my regards to them" she smiled started eating.
I went towards Destiny and helped her. Soon Nick was ready and sat on the couch. Destiny took the diaper and disposed it in the bin. She went to washroom.
I took Nick and played with him. Destiny came back and sat beside me. Nick started to drift off to sleep. I placed his head on my shoulder and patted his back.
"You handle kids well. I didn't expect this from the billionaire" Destiny said. I smirked at her.
"You don't know how this billionaire will handle other things" she blushed at that. She was about to say something. I leaned down and kissed her. She kissed back.
"Guys that's really disgusting to watch" I heard Alex say. I pulled away glared at him. Destiny hid her face in my shoulders. Alex put his hand up in surrender. Ava pinched his arm.
"You ruined their moment" she said.
"But it's really disgusting to watch Liamy kissing someone" he said rubbing his arm.
"Then fucking close your eyes" I hissed lowly. Destiny punched my bicep.
"Language, baby is there" she whispered.
"But he is sleeping" I said looking at him.
"So, if baby is awake or asleep no bad words" she said glaring at me. The door opened and in came Amanda.
"I have a good news, Harry is awake. We can go and meet him. Let me bring a wheelchair Ava" she said and left. After few minutes she came with a wheelchair. Both Alex and Destiny helped Ava to sit on it. Amanda led us to Ava's brother room pushing Ava.
We went in, there was a 10 or 11 year old kid on a bed. Amanda pushed Ava near to the bed. I asked Destiny and Alex to come out to have their privacy. We stood out of the room.
"I am going to stay here with Ava" Alex said.
"Did she accept to this. We don't want to trouble you" Destiny said.
"Yeah, some how I talked to her. I wanted to help her and her brother after what I did" he said. Destiny smiled at him.
Alex asked my car which was here when Destiny came here yesterday. The driver was staying in a hotel. I think the driver has too come back with us. Thank God I will get some rest.
We went in afterwards and talked to the kid. We said goodbyes and went back to Ava's room. By now Nick was wide awake playing. After half an hour Destiny dad came in with a carrier.
"How are doing dear, everything good" Ava nodded her head "I bought some dinner to you. Elizabeth sent this. I just gave one to Harry, Amanda is helping him" he said keeping it on the table and whispered but still we heard it "I know hospital food sucks" Ava chuckled.
"Thank you David, you are a life saver" he smiled at her. He looked at Alex and raised his eyebrows in question. Seeing that Alex introduced.
"I am Alex sir, Ava's friend". David nodded his and introduced himself.
"I am Dr. David and also Destiny's father" Alex nodded his head. David came to me took Nick from me.
"How is my grandson doing. Did he miss his grandpa" his cooed him. Nick just gurgled cutely.
"Come on, Elizabeth is waiting for dinner at the home" David said. I took Nick's bag.
"I am gonna stay, I will eat something here. You guys go" Alex said. Ava tried to talk to him. But he refused and stayed back. Me and Destiny bid goodbye saying we will come back soon. We all went to my car and sat in it. David took his car. Soon we reached Destiny's parents home.
