Chapter 57
Destiny's pov
I pulled Chris inside the house. I saw Ava going out closing the door. I stopped and looked at him.
"Are you okay" I asked.
"I am man Sky, I am fine. But damn where did you find him, he is a rock" he said. I rolled my eyes chuckling.
"Where have you been, we didn't know where you were and you switched off your mobile" I said.
"I was busy exploring the world. I was leaving in a jungle for a new experience, so I didn't take my mobile there"
"Thank God you are back. You have missed a lot. I am sure mom is going to kill you" I said. We heard laughing from the living room. Chris looked at the living room and then at me in confusion.
"How many people are there here" he asked pointing towards the room.
"Totally nine members, but six are there inside. You will also see a new member to our family" I said.
"Wait before we go in. When did you find yourself a boyfriend? Is he treating you good? Should I have to give a lesson to him?" he asked cracking his knuckles.
"Stop. Don't do anything to him. I know what to do with him. For now let's go inside" I said pulling him into the living room. Dad and James were talking to themselves. Mom, Elizabeth and Amanda were talking. Nick was playing with his new toys in dad arms.
"Mom, look who is here" I said happily.
"What took you so......" she stopped talking when see saw who was beside me. Dad and Amanda looked surprised at him. But mom kept her face blank.
"I am back" Chris said nervously looking around.
I know he afraid of mom's reaction. Suddenly my mom took the cushion beside her and threw it at Chris.
He ducked his head down at the right time.
My mom looked around and grabbed a stick which was down the table.
Only she can keep things like that. She got up and chased Chris.
He yelped and started running around the living room.
"Mom I am sorry okay. I know, I should have called" he said as he rounded around the couch. Nick was laughing loudly.
"You should have called. I said you should call. I didn't give you a choice there" she said throwing the stick at him. He caught it in his hand.
"Honey calm down" my dad gave Nick to James and came behind my mom. I felt someone behind me. I turned around and saw Ava. She smiled at me. I smiled back and looked at my brother.
"Mom I am sorry. You ask anything I will give it" I am sure my brother will die today. My mom doesn't like this at all. My mom smiled sweetly at him.
Haha he woke up the inner beast.
"OK Chris, why don't you come and give your mom a hug" my mom said sweetly. I put my hand on mouth to cover my laugh. I heard a small thud behind me. I turned and saw Liam, he put a big box down.
Oh it's the bike. I looked back at the scene.
My bother relaxed and went towards her and hugged her. My dad smiled shaking his head. He knew his son made a mistake. We heard a small yell from Chris because my mother had grabbed his ears and twisted it.
"Oww mom, it's hurts" he said in pain. My mom grabbed the stick from him and started beating him.
"Okay sorry mom. I know I shouldn't have asked for compensation" he said covering himself. Dad grabbed mom's hand and stopped her.
"Honey stop it" he said. My mom glared at Chris, and went out of the living room into her room. I saw tears in her eyes.
"I will be with her" Lily said getting up and went to mom's room.
"I messed up, didn't I" Chris said.
"You messed up" Amanda said dryly "Yes you did.
We didn't know you were alive or not. You wouldn't pick any of our calls.
It would be always be switched off. We all were so worried about you.
Yet you came here today, after two years like nothing happened" Amanda cried saying that to him.
I cried silently as well. I felt a arm around my shoulders.
I know it's Liam, even though I am mad at him right now. He came to console me.
I leaned onto him, he embraced me sideways. Chris moved towards Amanda and hugged her.
"I am sorry" he said consoling her. He turned around and reached for my hand. I went towards him and took it. He pulled us in a group hug. He kissed our head and rubbed our back.
"I am sorry. I won't let it happen again" he mumbled into our hair.
We pulled away. Chris turned towards dad.
"How are you dad" he asked.
"You know how living with your mom means" dad joked. Chris chuckled and hugged dad. Chris pulled away.
"Ha I missed this place" he said.
"What should I do with mom. Will she forgive me" Chris asked looking at mom's room.
"Give her few more minutes son" dad said patting his back. Chris looked around and asked in confusion.
"Am I missing out something today. Is it someone's birthday today"
"It's my son's birthday. Come here sweetie" Amanda said walking towards James and took Nick from him.
"Meet your nephew, Nick Ivan Walker" she said walking towards Chris. Chris looked shocked and surprised.
"What? When did this happen" he asked.
"I have been keeping him with me since his birth, I got him adopted just few months back" Amanda smiled at Nick.
"You kept him my middle name as his middle name" Chris smiled looking at Nick.
"Come here boy" he took him from Amanda. He cooed him lifting up. He gave Nick to Amanda.
"I have to talk with mom" he said and moved towards her room. He knocked and went in. Few seconds later Lily came out.
"I am sorry for the inconvenience we caused you. He went to World Tour two years back, it's the first time we are seeing him in these two years" dad said to James.
"It's okay, we didn't feel any cause from you. We are happy for you" he said sitting back in his place. We all sat down. Liam took Nick from Amanda and placed him on the bike. Nick started playing with that.
"Destiny why don't we arrange the dining table. Come" Lily said getting up. I followed her into the kitchen. We started placing the dishes at the table.
"Did something happen between you and Liam" she asked. I placed the plates on the dining table.
"We had a argument outside. It's nothing" I lied to her.
"I know Destiny, you are lying. What happened, did he do anything" she asked standing beside me.
"He just behaved rudely with my brother. I didn't like what he did with Chris" I sighed.
"I know he wouldn't act like that simply, he must have felt something to react like that. The way he reacted, made me feel something. He reacted like this on his graduation day in highschool" I said.
"What happened that day" she asked. I told her what happened that night. How he was.
"I am sorry dear, it's was my fault" she said tearing up.
"What do you mean" I asked
"If we would have attended his graduation day that day, he would have been happy enjoying his day. But we ruined it. We ruined his chance with you. I know it's not the way he has to talk to you, but if he was happy he wouldn't said that to you" she cried. I hugged her.
"Lily don't cry, it's in the past. No one is hurting now. Everyone is happy now" I said consoling her.
"Even though everyone is happy. We feel guilty and regret about it" I heard James voice. I pulled away and looked at him.
"It would be my fault to. If I would have just cancelled my meeting and spent a day with him.
I would have known him more. Seeing your family, I have missed so many things.
Seeing your family together makes everyone happy" he said wiping his eyes "I learnt that our actions give a impact in our children lives. We should be aware of it".
"I am sure you are learning from it. I am happy about it. All it matters is now. If I didn't forget the past and not forgiven Liam. We wouldn't have been here. Everyone deserves a chance and risk in life. Whether the results are good or bad" I said. James came to me and patted my head.
"You are good soul Destiny. I am happy, my son found you. I hope he won't miss this gem" he said smiling at me.
I don't want to miss Liam. And what I found outside the house makes me thinking about that. I won't leave him at all.
"I will call everyone to dinner" Elizabeth said going out.
Everyone came in and sat on the chair. My mom and Chris was talking happily like a mother and son.
"Where is Ava" Amanda asked. I looked around, where is she.
"She said, Harry had called her. Nothing serious, he was just scared" Liam said. He was sitting across me. I sat beside Amanda. I should call Ava and talk with her.
"I am sorry. Between this I forgot, I am Christian" Chris said to James and Lily.
"It's okay. I am James Collins and this is Lily Collins my wife. Liam is our son" James said. Lily smiled at him. Liam just nodded his head. I can see he is guilty about his behaviour. Chris took a bite of lasagna and moaned.
"Home food is the best food" he said stuffing his mouth.
We chuckled at him. Nick ate his food on his own.
Even though he made a mess, he is learning.
We all ate the food happily. I could feel a eyes on me.
It's Liam's. I didn't bother to look at him.
If I see his eyes, I will melt down and I can't be mad at him.
"Mom the food was delicious, especially that lasagna" Chris said smiling at mom.
"Well son, if you want to praise it. Say it to Liam, he made the maximum of the dishes" mom said. Chris looked surprised.
"Woah. Are you a chef" he asked.
"No. I have my own company, Collins company" Liam said.
"Wait. Did you say Collins company. I have been in some hotels when I was travelling. So you are the CEO" Chris asked. Liam nod his head.
"Sky what are you doing now. Did you get the job" he asked.
"Yeah, I work with Liam as his assistant" I said. Chris looked at me in surprise. He looked at Liam and asked.
"What did you find in her brain to select her as your assistant"
I throw a spoon at him.
"Chris" I shouted annoyingly. All laughed except Liam. He was deep in his thoughts. We finished the dinner and cleaned out. I saw Nick closing his eyes in his chair. I picked him up.
"Amanda I will put Nick to sleep" I said to Amanda who was doing the dishes.
"Okay" she said. I went upstairs to her room.
Her house has three rooms. Two rooms are in upstairs and another down which is my parents room.
I opened the door and went in. I put Nick in his crib beside the bed.
He started a little cry. I sat on the bed and patted his chest to calm him. He calmed slowly and closed his eyes.
I leaned my hand on the crib and leaned my head on it. I patted Nick and a yawn escaped from my mouth. I felt my eyes close and drifted to sleep.
