31. Harper

CHAPTER THIRTY-ONE

HARPER

“What’s that smile for?”

Dad’s question makes my neck prickle.

Sex. I’m thinking about nothing but dicks and cum and orgasms and, oh my gosh, this is awkward. I’m in a constant state of arousal because of Felix and Tyler. My panties are always soaked.

“Just something funny Cindy said.”

“It’s nice to see you smile,” Dad says, struggling to collapse my mother’s easel.

We’re in the beach house’s conservatorium, packing away Mom’s art supplies. This was her favorite room in the house to paint. She filled it with flowers and geometric terrarium plants. Mom said the glass walls and ceiling always offered perfect lighting.

“So, have you made any plans to see Paul?”

I sigh, packing Mom’s paint brushes into a box. “You only spoke to me about this last night. I haven’t had a chance to even think about Paul.”

“Right. Of course. I’m getting ahead of myself. Will you help me with this easel? I can never remember the trick to folding it.”

My attention catches beyond the window to Felix and Tyler arriving in the Jeep.

I collapse the easel, having seen Mom do it many times. “The boys have arrived.” I work hard to keep my voice level. I want to run to them, but I also don’t want to appear too eager in front of my father.

“We’ve been cleaning for a while. Why don’t you have a break and take a walk with them along the beach.”

“Are you sure?”

“Yes. I’ve got a handle on everything. Just be back for dinner in one hour.”

I kiss my dad on the cheek. “Okay. Love you.”

“Love you too, honey,” he calls as I leave the conservatorium.

I head through the house and out the front door, finding the two brothers still in the Jeep, laughing over something. As soon as they see me, the engine switches off and they step out.

“Walk with us,” Felix says.

Before I can respond, each brother takes one of my hands in theirs, matching our scars, and leads me through the gardens.

“Where are we going?”

“You’ll see.” Tyler threads his fingers with mine. “Good day so far?”

“It’s been a little sad sorting through Mom’s belongings. But I’m happy now that you’re both here. I missed you two.”

Tyler’s lips brush against mine. “We missed you.”

Not wanting Felix to feel left out, I reach up and kiss him as well .

“We used to have a lot of fun at this beach house,” Felix says as we walk by the tennis courts. “Swimming in the pool. Playing card games in the library. Late night movies.”

I could never forget. This beach house holds some of my favorite childhood memories.

“Tell me what memories you have,” Felix says.

“Sprinting competitions on the beach, always losing to you both because I’m terrible at running on sand. Hide and seek in the attic.”

“Your answers are disappointing me, Red. Surely there’s something else you remember the three of us doing. A game we always got in trouble for playing.”

My stomach leaps, realizing where they’re leading me. We turn a corner in the garden, and I’m suddenly filled with both fear and excitement as I see the hedge maze looming in front of us.

I haven’t been to this part of the property in years, ever since Felix and I stopped being friends.

The hedges were overgrown back then and my mother deemed the maze unsafe to play in.

Five years later, the hedges are in far worse shape.

They’re tall and let little light in. I can barely see past the entrance of the maze.

“Tyler and I were talking during our drive up here,” Felix says. “We agreed that chasing you through the maze is our favorite childhood memory.”

Butterflies spread through my stomach, lower, to my groin, remembering those chasing games. “It’s my favorite memory too.”

Letting go of their hands, I approach the entrance, feeling my heart rate pick up. Half the fun of playing within these hedges was fearing the unknown. Imagining monsters would jump out at me. Always wondering what lurked around each corner .

A cold chill spreads through me as I step into the maze. It’s like entering another world in here where no one on the outside exists. It’s so dark. Everything smells damp and of earth.

Felix’s arm slips around my waist while Tyler strokes my cheek. My eyelids flutter at their touch.

Lips brush against my ear, followed by Felix’s deep whisper. “You’re about to get fucked in this maze, Harper.”

I gasp. Excited. Fearful. Desperate to know which one of them will take my first time.

Tyler strokes a thumb over my bottom lip. “Felix and I want to play catch and kiss again. Although, the kiss part of the game seems a little tame now that we’re all grown up. We were thinking catch and fuck. You like the sound of that?”

My pussy throbs, answering for me. A moan slips from my mouth.

Felix smirks, never taking his eyes off me. “What do you know, Tyler, she does like it.”

“I knew she would.”

I lick my lips. “This is how you’ve decided who gets my first time?”

“Yes,” Felix says. “We both want to be your first, but we’ve come to a compromise that will make the loser happy.”

“And what’s that?”

They look at each other, amused. Tyler answers. “You’ll find out later. You get a thirty-second head start.”

“Run, Little Sinner.”

I freeze, unsure what to do. The hedges are more overgrown than I remember. Visibility is poor, especially with the setting sun.

My heart pounds as I look between Tyler and Felix, trying to gauge if they’re serious about chasing me or making a joke. But the intensity in their eyes tells me they’re ready to battle it out.

I’m both scared yet aroused, unable to think of a more perfect way to settle who gets my first time. Without another word, I turn on my heels and run.

There’s always been an unsettling quietness in here. The only sound is the rhythmic thud of my footsteps on the damp grass and my uneven breathing.

It’s been years since I’ve entered this maze but I remember its layout like the back of my hand.

As I navigate the pathways, memories flash through my mind of the three of us sneaking in here despite my mother’s warnings.

Each brother catching me and claiming their prize of a kiss.

Our kisses were always so innocent. Pecks on the lips. Yet it felt so adult at the time.

Sometimes I would cheat, depending on which brother I wanted to kiss me. I’d hide within the hedges and monitor who ran by, then announce myself and let them catch me.

But this game feels different. Darker. As children, Tyler and Felix were like brothers to me. Now, they’re men who want me in ways I never thought possible.

I realize my head start is over when I hear footsteps, along with laughter.

“How are you going to fuck Harper if you catch her?” Felix’s voice comes from a pathway to my left.

Somewhere to my right, in a different section of the maze, I hear Tyler answer. “With Harper on top so I can get deeper. You?”

“Take her from behind if you want to get deeper, bro.”

I laugh, loving the way they talk to each other, not as brothers but as best friends sharing their girl .

“Baby, I can hear you laughing,” Tyler calls out. “You’re nearby. You like the way we talk about you?”

Not wanting to reveal my location more than I already have, I keep quiet, smiling as I run away, wondering who will catch me first.

I’m turning corner after corner, ducking beneath vines and jumping over roots. Finally, after minutes of running, my pace slows to a walk while I attempt to catch my breath. I’m more puffed than I realized, and lean against a hedge wall, closing my eyes and resting for a moment.

My eyes fly open when a branch snaps nearby. There, just a few feet away, Felix stands with his dark eyes locked on me and his chest heaving. “Fuck, yes. You’re mine.”

“You haven’t caught me yet. Come and get me,” I tease, running from him.

His footsteps pound after me. I’m laughing. The thrill of the chase is intoxicating.

I run into an opening of interconnecting paths and am suddenly hit by surprise as Tyler pounces on me, scooping me into his arms and pinning me against the wall.

“Caught you,” he growls, right before crushing his lips to mine. I’m shocked, having assumed Felix would be my captor since he was right on my tail, but am equally as excited to know Tyler will be getting my virginity.

“Fuck,” Felix shouts.

Tyler and I pull apart, finding Felix glaring at us.

“Bro, you agreed to the rules,” Tyler says.

“I know what I fucking agreed to.”

My stomach clenches, hating the tension. “The arrangement is off. I’m not doing this if either one of you is uncomfortable. We’ll find another solution.”

“The agreement is not off.” Felix scrunches his hair, frustrated but working hard to compose himself. “Probably best Tyler caught you. I can’t be trusted to be gentle for your first time. I’ll enjoy my loser’s prize.”

I gulp, knowing the loser’s prize must be something big if Felix is willing to settle for it. “What’s the prize?”

Felix steps closer, grips my jaw, and kisses me. He murmurs against my lips, “I’ll tell you later. Don’t want to scare you off.”

Whatever it is, I want it. I want him. “Are you sure you’re okay with me and Tyler?” I press myself closer to Felix, slipping my hands into his hair and deepening the kiss.

He grabs my ass, pressing me to his dick. “Yes. It’s a really good loser’s prize.” Felix lets go of me and looks at Tyler. “Fuck her soon, bro. I don’t have much patience left in me.”
